I picked myself up a nice one of these babies yesterday and read that it can play DVD +, - & DVD/RW. Is that only in video mode or is that "backup" dvd's?

Any help much appreciated.

it will play anything.

except chipped games.

That is cheap... but what was the game? But the playabck modes just sound the same as the bog standard PS2?

The game was Tekken 4. The loading times have mass improved and its so damn quiet! If any of you have played on an X-Box you know how quiet that is. If you play on a new PS2, its as good as silent!

ooh a reflection of the controller there!! is it that shiny or did they edit it in?

£150 is a bargain, when my ps2 packs in and stops reading discs ill get it
(i bet itll happen soon enough)

If any of you have played on an X-Box you know how quiet that is. If you play on a new PS2, its as good as silent!


:eek: jag X-BOX IS WELL LOUD!! infact its soo loud i have to pump tha volume up on my t.v soo i cant here the bitch

is the X-Box really loud? My mates is almost silent. Maybe it varies. But this new SCPH 50003 PS2 models are much quiter. Believe me.

THA DAMB CONSOLE IS TO LOUD!! but i dealt that tha silver ps2 could sound n e thing like that , if it did then it would proberly be a step down to ps2 casue even tha ps2 is quiter then x-box. From what im hearing it sounds very cooool!!( not the acctual sound of console :D ) i might try gettin 1. Have the graphics been improved in n e way!!?? even the slightest bit like not having has many ruff edges
