Very hard to choose, both sides have world class stars. I'm going with a gut instinct, phatmann. His overall defense and attacking midfield are slightly faster than Ronaldo's. Samuel is getting too old :D

Phatmann, as Vieira will be over-run. Kaka would be hard to stop on his own, but when there's also a strong midfield containing Riise, Gattuso and Seedorf for him to try to contain, it's far too much work. R9's midfield is too attacking for my liking, Vieira is too isolated. He has a strong attack, but Phatmann's defence is superb and can shut them out.

Totti is too deep in the midfield ronnie and viera would be left alone to stop the attacks

heres what you should do

leave your back 4 the way it is, you've got a lot of talent there and they should do fine, ur guys on the bench are nice players too.

midfield and forward

----------Totti-------zidane------
----------------RVN---------------

*****=this position would be filled by Jenas, alex santos, ledley king, pablo garcia, i dunno transfer for someone...but with zidane and totti behind RVN you would be so creative and effective I couldn't see many defenses competeing w/ that. Raul is out of form anyways

Phat reminds me of a team that would defend first and counter, and counter with great percision, Kaka would orchestrate with great percision w/ some good midfielders to cover for him.

That's a good summary of Phatmann's team, it looks very solid and dangerous on the break with the attacking trio of Kaka, Zlatan and Owen.

I agree with your advice for Ronaldo, Ledley King would probably be the best man to help Vieira out.

that'd be a great team, tho they lack down the wings, they wouldn't have much need to go out there tho, they could just hold take the ball up the middle, great technique on ronnies side

why are u still up james :)?

I went to bed at 7pm as I was knackered, and woke at 5am. Need to get ready for work in half an hour :(

The team would lack width, but Zidane wouldn't give them much anyway (in the original formation) as he'd be moving into more central positions. Sagnol and Placente would have to do some attacking to add width. Beckham could easily move out to the wing from his position to whip in some crosses.
