I go to HP, because his defense is more balanced and have a better attack too....but Nikos has an excellent midfield....

HP, although its not your A team, your defense is still too good.

Some comments would be greatly appreciated. :)

Wondering what you thought about Jesus Navas and Petrov on the wings. Kuijt and Robinho up top. Cris in the center and Maldini on the left?

Lay it on me guys and on Nikos for that matter. ;)

Id say swap cris and maldini first off

i thought jesus navas was mainly a rb, but im sure he could provide something down the wing, and Petrov would be very effective, Kujit and Robinho do complement each other fairly well, but i hope u don't get to the point where u wouldnt play ronaldihno and eto'o

Nikos
moro and char are good forwards together, simao would be a better off on the wing than juninho, id put juninho behind the forwards...don't get me wrong juninho would still play good behind the forwards

is that psv's alex at lb nikos?

if it is, you should find a new lb, thuram and campbell or ibanez should be ur cb....

Strong teams, you have a nice balance there Victor, strong in all areas. Although, when you have your full strength side out, I think you should use a diamond midfield:

--------------------------Sissoko-------------
---------------------Xavi----------Edu--------
---------------------------Dinho--------------

I'm not keen on the midfield formation Nikos is using, it looks like a diamond midfield but with 2 wingers as part of it? Would be better off using a straightforward 4-4-2.

Nikos- Which Alex is that? There's so many of the fuckers. Also, play Gerrard in a 4-4-2 so it doesn't look too attacking.

Victor- Fine really, position wise.

EDIT- About the match, I'd say Nikos, because his team is stronger and his attacking midfield wouldn't be exposed because HP's centre midfield is fairly defence minded.

1. Wondering what you thought about Jesus Navas and Petrov on the wings.

2. Kuijt and Robinho up top.

3. Cris in the center and Maldini on the left?

1. Petrov and Navas would be good assets to most teams, they both have great pace. So in my opinion both of them are reliable wingers, though admittidely I haven't seen as much as Navas as I have Petrov.

2. Great pair, I'm always in favour of a strong player who is good in the air and a quick nippy player which is what you have there, similar to Muad's Adriano/Carew and Cisse partnership, I like it a lot. ;)

3. Seems very reliable, I'd switch em' round though.

Great team man, defence is almost unstoppable, your midfield is very balanced and as I said, the paring of Kuyt and Robinho is lethal. Good luck for the season. :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nikos

I think thats your strongest possible team, Figo can get you votes but doesn't posses the pace Simao has, maybe replace him with Simao although Figo is a great player and could easily replace Simao and fit into the team just as well. I just think you need to improve your defence with a signing or two and you'll be set for next season.

Thanks for the comments. :)
Quick question for you guys:
What would you think of Robinho on the right, sorta where Navas is?

@Preki, Ronaldinho and Eto'o will be playing, no worries. Jesus is a right mid/left mid/right wing type player. I've never seen him play right back. I wanted to test out Cris, because I know he's a good center back and maybe he'd be a good asset in this formation.

@Reyes, I probably will use that as my starting midfield, but with the rotation Jesus and Petrov will come into play. :)

@Yossi and The G, thanks for your opinions. :)

Not a good idea about Robinho. Don't do it.

Thats more like it my fellow members. So, with the team i have, its best to use a 4-4-2 straightforward? And yes, that is Alex of PSV, the big man. Dont get me wrong, he can play full back, not the best, but he can. Check out Uefa.com team of the year 05, you can see they classify him as a full back. But if that doesnt appeal to you, i think i will go ahead and look for a natural left back, and i guess im done.

One question i have. Whats better as the wingers, Joaquin - Juninho, Joaquin - Simao, Joaquin - Figo, Juninho - Figo, Juninho - Simao?

@Preki - Yeah, ok Gerrard and Makelele in the middle, that sounds nice. Moro and Charisteas are good forwards, i agree. I put them together for this game because they are one of the best in heading. With good wingers aswell, you can get lots of headed goals, know what i mean? But as i will use a 4-4-2, which is the best partnership i can use for my strikers? Moro-Trez, Charistea-Trez, Pizarro-Trez, Klasnic-Trez?

@The G - I get your point. Thanks. So a signing of a defender, left back?

@Reyes - Thanks aswell. I will use 4-4-2 then. Who do you think is better as the right back, Salgado, Seitaridis? What do you think if i put Thuram as right back, Campbell and Alex as my centre backs, and Aurelio on the left?

@Yossi, yup, Alex of PSV. Like i said, cant play left back too. But i do get your point. What can you say about my question regarding the wingers?

Or a centre back and put Alex on the left, thats the reward of having versatile players.

I don't reckon he'd be a good left back. Not enough going forward I don't think.

As for the wingers, I think you have too many right wingers. As a matter of fact, they're all right wingers. All of tem are roughly evenly matched, I'd say Joaquin is the best and the others are equalish.

He's in bad form currently though, but on his day he is quite good.

Figо10
21-12-2005, 04:49
For Nikos, playing Gerrard, Simao and Joaquin in a line will help. I'll play Simao over Figo in that formation. Morientes-Charisteas is a complemnting partnership upfront. And Makelele's in the position which he's at his definite best ;)

HP's formation includes a solid central defence and midfield, and involves lots of wingplay through Cincinho, Martin Petrov etc. and they could get the better of Seitaridis and Alex if the midfielders don't track back too much. Eto'o would finish off the crosses.

Shame he isn't playing. ;)

Thanks for the comments.

Another question, would you play Kuijt or Robinho?

Scarface
22-12-2005, 00:41
Definitely Robinho, but Kuijt is a great reserve to call upon.

22-12-2005, 00:45
Mhm, I figured.
I never got your input about playing him on the wing like he does for Madrid every now and then.

Ok, I thought you meant you didn't understand I suggestion I made to put Robinho out on the wing, I think you should keep him up-front, his partnership with Eto'o should work extremely well.
