There's not much you can say about the teams, no-one is out of position. However, after voting for HP, I change my mind, I reckon Preki would win- because HP's defensive midfield is focusing on attacks through the middle, whereas Preki's wings are strong.

This game is too close to call in my opinion but I would say that HP would win because of the class he could bring on from the bench.

HP for me.

EDIT.HP has the far better keeper and he could be hard to beat with Preki's strikers as they are not "out and out" goalscorers. Also look at HP's subs they can change a game round in just a few minutes. The better paced team will be HP's in my opinion although Keane in the holding role can prove to be a very effective player, and could keep the team organised. It is relatively close, but with the additoin of HP's substitutes I can't see Preki beating that.

HP for me.

Don't just say who you think would win, the whole purpose of these friendly's is to comment on their formation.

Anyways:

Preki - Your back 4 are very good and could cope with Hp's one man attack, no one's out of position so your fine their. Your midfeild suits this match aswell, as Yossi said HP's focusing on attacks through the middle so you could catch him on the break down the wings. Your strikers.

HP - I like this formation, with the 2 defensive midfeilders behind the other midfeilders, works well in my opinion. Although what if you pushed Navas and Petrov up, may be a bit better ? I would say if you run a formation like this i would prefer to see someone better than Tommason up front, if you know what i mean ? Someone pacier and deadlier at finishing.

Here's what i think you could do with your midfield:

--Friedrich---Cris---Perea---Abidal
--Marcos Senna---Demichelis---
-----------De la Pena---------
-Jesus Navas-----------Petrov
----------------------------
---------Tommason---------

Maybe something like that ? Just slightly pushing up Navas & Petrov.:)

Both Teams are very equal honestly. But for this game, i am going with HP from the West, i think his team can outpace Preki's guys. Although Fred and Gomes is hell lot scarier than Tomasson alone. But with Ronnie, Xavi in the bench, coming on can prove a big thing. Main reason why i go for HP. if there were no substitutes though, i think this game will definitely be a draw.

HP - Nice formation, Petrov will always be helpful and can support Tomasson indeed. Demichelis and Senna (Nice buy) look solid at the back. Senna does the attacking, while Demichelis holds the midfield. But both will be defending most times. As for your defenders, no complaints, but having Maldini in place of Abidal, will bring on hefty experience and can hold the defense together.

Preki - Your team looks blazin' amazin', literally. Sasa and Mertesacker can keep out Tomasson i feel. Your wingers are very quick too, but you can put Meyde or Kewell instead of Kalou. Because they both know how to deliver pinpoint crosses. Meyde too. Beasley looks great there, ;). Gomes and Fred look nice, Fred liks assisting sometimes, and so he may do that, and Gomes knows how to finish things off. Plus you still have Gudjohnsen on the bench who can score goals too. Overall, great team.

Preki for me......great forwards and nice wings......but you need a playmaker for me....
And HP the team looks good with this formation......very defensive but with a nice striker and great midfield......

I see what you mean nedy, what position should he play then?

EDIT: anyone can answer this

I don't think my attack is centered down the middle, as Petrov and Navas are on the wings, both which like to cross the ball a lot, but meh.

Preki, I think your formation is good as it is. I think you could improve with a more solid defensive mid to pair with Keane. If you were to put an offensive mid in there, you may have to sacrifice a striker or defensive mid. Neither seem to be too appealing.

EDIT/
How do you all rate Perea and Marcos Senna?

I think that Perea is a very, very good defender but I don't really rate Marcos Senna very highly.

Preki:

Completely agree with Nedy, Preki, your team is physically very good but I think you need a creative player maybe behind the front two and pull one of your strikers back like this:

-------------DE Sanctis-------------
-Mancini--Mersacker--Majahilovic--Chiellini
------------Keane--Dacourt/Zakora-----
-------------(playmaker e.g Kaka ;))-----
--Kalou-------------------------------Beasley
------------------ Fred--------------------

Its a bit messy but I'm sure you know what I mean.

HP:

This is obviously not your strongest team but it is strong nonetheless. Petrov can support Tommasson quickly with his great pace, then Senna and Demichelis protect the back four well and I can't see Fred and Nuno Gomes causing your strong defence much problems with the two midfielders helping out too. With a great bench like you have aswell, you could turn the tempo of the game in an instant by bringing on Eto'o. Theres not much else I can think of to say.

Overall two good teams but I think HP would win due to the quality of his bench and creativity of his team, something Preki's side lack at the moment.

Preki has 2 of the best young playmakers in Europe, in Andres d'Alessandro and Alexei Eremenko Junior, don't be afraid to use either of them.

Hp, I rate Luis Perea very highly, not sure the signing of Senna was a good idea though, you already have Edu, Xavi, de La Pena, Sissoko and Demichelis competing for a central midfield spot.

I think Preki would nick this by a single goal, Hp has a stronger defence, but Preki has a very dangerous attack which I feel could grab a goal here. 1-0.

edit: Forgot to check the benches, on second thoughts, I think this one would end up being a draw, Dinho, Xavi and Eto'o could come on to turn the game.

Yes, but with the formation I'm planning on playing I need a few center mids. Plus he is seen more than Dhorasoo and Senna isn't at the top of the starting list. I just wanted to see how people reacted to his involvement in the starting lineup.

James, you don't think Petrov and Navas would be able to crack the defense with the crosses?

Sorry Vic but I must go with Preki. Our backline is a bit weak compared to Preki. But its only a friendly so we don't really need to worry since Paolo is the original CB.

Possibly, but my gut feeling is that this would be a low scoring match with 1 or 2 goals. Mancini and Maxwell are both great full backs, and they would bomb forward, meaning that Navas and Petrov would have to track back which could tire them down.

Far from it.

-I see James. Thanks for confirming. :)

I can't see how Victor's defence is weak, every defender is top drawer and Demichelis is one of the best anchormen about.
