I won't vote yet, but I think you would have a stronger centeral midfield with Ambrosini. Maybe even bring in Fiore on for Rothen. I'm not sure if he's in your first team or not, so if he is, then Rothen is your best choice on the left mid. Taking into account a few things... :)

i go with HP on this. yes, i agree, The G have immense power in the midfield but team Castelon's defense is equal to the force. pity the footballer of the year is playing .

HP has a slight advantage in the Defence bc of his goalie and sidebacks, but it is verry close.
HP ur midfield is good but I could see you havin too many people in the centre of the pitch on attack b/c u don't have any true wingers, but no one will get by ur midfield down the centre on offense either as u have three great ball stoppers

ur forward tandem is quality too, in the regular season kujit and eto'o would be a good combo

G

SWP is overrated u could do better at rmf, although he will get u votes
your midfield and forwards are great, and ur depth at midfield is incredible really

and ur depth at forward is solid too

my vote goes to HP tho with more quality on the pitch

Thanks for the votes.

Don't worry, he will. ;)

I see what you are getting at. Xavi and Momo aren't playing as wings though. It's sort of like a modfied 4-3-3. Cicinho and Serginho are known for their attacking, so Xavi, Momo, and Martin will be protecting while they attack. ;)

I may rotate strikers more than you need to. Eto'o, Robinho, and Kuijt are all good strikers and have unique attributes, so they will all come in handy. Baiano will probably end up being my 4th striker. :)

Thanks again. More opinions would be great.

I disagree, when SWP is on top form, I think hes just as good and explosive as the bigger names in football.

Thanks, what do you suggestion my starting midfield for my first team to be?

I would play Nedved instead of Appiah. Play with 3 midfielders and play Nedved in between midfield and attack. I know it would leave you weak in midfield but it would be worth it.

SWP--Emerson---Rothen
-------Nedved

You mean like that?

Edit: Keep in mind this is a friendly, so these aren't our strongest teams.

HP- Your team is far too narrow. Xavi and Sissoko are supposed to be the widest of four central midfielders, but they would not pull wide, because they can only play in the centre. You would get destroyed down the wings, and if the opposition is playing with a couple of holding players, like what is happening here, your threat through the middle would be stopped. I think the fullbacks are too attacking too, another reason why you would get ripped apart on the wing. On the other hand, the front two compliment each other well I think, and the centre backs are strong, however they are not as quick and big as they could be.

G- Pretty good. Your defence is nice and solid, and your central midfielders would sit and hold against a team whose only threat is through the middle. Your explosive wingers would pose a real threat down the flanks, capitalising on the narrow formation of the opposition, and Makaay would polish off the crosses. Your front two I feel are a good pairing, as are HP's.

EDIT: I think it's obvious from the comments who I voted for.

I beg to differ.

I may be narrow, but Cicinho and Serginho provide enough width. They both know when to drop back and defend. Serginho does it plenty for Milan when he plays left back and Cicinho does it a lot for Sao Paulo. If they knew they were starting to leave their position too much, they'd drop back and defend. I highly doubt that I'd get destroyed. It's not as though Xavi and Momo don't venture outside of the center. No offense to Appiah, but he isn't the strongest holding mid. Sissoko and Xavi could run through Emerson and Appiah and Demichelis is also there. My attack through the middle couldn't be subdued as easily as you may think.

Carragher and Maldini aren't quick or big enough? Like Tevez and Makaay would be able to run through them and Demichelis with Xavi and Sissoko covering. It'd be a miracle.

The G for me, better offense and his midfield has a better shape for the players in it. HP's got 4 CM's on the park.

-Cicinho and Serginho I agree would go forward and support, however they can't defend adequately too. If they go forward they would leave gaps, and The G's wingers would help themselves, and if they don't, your attach would be 1 dimensional.

-I disagree, Xavi, and Sissoko are not natural wide players and they wouldn't leave the centre too often.

-I reckon that your only real method of attack is through the middle. I aso feel that The G's protection for his back four is mainly through two holding players, which together could stop your midfield

-As for Carrager and Maldini, they are both magnificent defensively, however Makaay is bigger than both of them, and Tevez is faster than them both.
