View Full Version : My 'Super Barcelona' Formation (3-1-3-3)

I'm 18 league (and 4 cup) games into a Master League with Barcelona and have won every game on 4* (15 mins) and to be honest, I haven't come close to losing (beat Real Madrid 8-0, had a few other 8-0's)

Now this is by far my most successful Master League start (I usually play as Man Utd or Parma and haven't won the league with either. 2nd with Utd, 3rd with Parma)

So I've come to the conclusion that it is the formation and the Barcelona players that make this team so formidable. It's something like this:

3 flat centre backs, 1 holding midfielder, 2 wingers, a central attacking midfielder and 2 strikers either side and dropped back a little bit behind a centre forward. The transfer window has passed and the lineup is:

GK Valdes

DC Gonzalo (Villareal)
DC Puyol
DC Marquez

DMC Fabregas (Arsenal)

LM Xavi (Out of position but he puts in some mean deep crosses)
RM Shaun Wright-Phillips (Chelsea)
AMC Deco (The link up play between Deco and the front 3 is unreal)

SS Eto'o
SS Ronaldinho (What can you say? Fantastic)

CF Adriano (Inter) (Top goalscorer by a long way and beyond deadly)

Sounds good.
A diagram would be very helpful.
(screenshot from pc version or a photo of the tv screen perhaps).

4 star? Why not try it on 6 star 10 mins? Doesn't it get boring spanking teams? I find it more rewarding when you have to work hard for a win.

1. I prefer playing on 6* and did for mostr of Pro Evo 4 but I haven't got round to unlocking it yet

2. I never play as well with any other team. As I said, I've played with Man Utd and Parma, 4*, 15 mins and it's never been anything like this (2nd and 3rd in the league). Therefore, it doesn't feel as much like "I should change the difficulty 'cause I'm spanking 'em constantly".

But I'll change it at the end of the season to 6* when I get my points for winning the league and cup etc

Fair play. How does your team cope with your friends ML teams?

Even after you buy 6*, you won't be able to change to 6 stars.

Your formation is good, Especially against CPU. However, it is a different ball game when you try it against a human opponent. A lot of free space in the back that can be used easily by a good player.

You can change diff. level at the end of season in PES5/WE9...

I've always unlocked 6* ASAP, and play ML default team with 6*. Takes a little longer (sometimes 2 seasons in Div2), but it's more rewarding. I also unlock teh league editing thing, so u can edit the leagues u play in in ML. I now face, in Div1, the best teams from each league in Europe (MU, Arse, Chelsea, Real, Barca, Liverpool, Milan, Inter, etc)
