Signings To Come, Benitez
Rafa Benitez has promised Rafa F.C fans that there are several big name signings on their way to Rafa F.C and that he is sure that it will be a better second half of the season...
Fans: We Want Benitez Out
After over 10 games in charge of Rafa F.C the fans have had enough of Benitez after only notching up 2 points in 9 league games. Benitez has promised more signings when the transfer window re-opens but the fans don't want to wait that long. The final word will be by chairman -Rafa-. Rafa F.C manager -Rafa- was questioned today about current manager Rafa Benitez and if he will be getting the sack, and -Rafa- said that Rafa Benitez will not be sacked and that the rumors that a new manager is lined up to take his place are rubbish.

It's best to tell you now, that Rothen deal will be cancelled. His valuation is likely to be nearer 5m, than 45m. The days of selling players of Rothen's standard for that kind of money are over.
Rothen deal is off, but I'll see if Pauly still wants him.
James, is the Cisse deal still going to go through?

Yeah. Victor and I won't be cancelling deals left, right and centre, but £45m for Rothen is far too much.
No worries, I'll do a new deal with Pauly for Rothen, not as much this time ;)

Matterazzi (To Minof)
Vagner Love (To Del_Piero)
Cisse and Koller sign deals
Rafa Benitez made his first two signings of the summer, bringing in French striker, and Marseille striker Djibril Cisse and also Czech giant Jan Koller. Materazzi and Vagner Love went the other way. Cisse signed a 4-year deal with the club, with Koller signing a 2-year deal. Both will be looking to get goals these season. Cisse who has joined from Minof's Gang in D1 will add some vaulable experiance to the squad, netting 8 goals last season, Koller and Cisse will be looking to give Nigerian International Yakubu some competition this season.
Mido returns from loan spell
Egyptian stirker, Hassan Mido has returned to Rafa FC and a terrible loan spell at Poffeman FC, playing just a handful of games and not scoring once. Mido will have to improve if he wants a game this season. With the arrivals of Dijbril Cisse and Jan Koller, Mido's first team chances look slim. with rumours coming out that he may be offered to a fellow D2 team or to a D3 team.
Exiciting Gonzalez looking to prove a point
Exiting Chilean winger, Mark Gonzalez has said that he is determined to prove a point at Rafa FC this season. The exiciting winger was loaned out to Rangers Casuals FC last season, and showed why he is considered one of the most exiciting prospects of the footballing world, with some excellent performances on the left wing. Gonzalez said that he is determined to be a hit at Rafa FC this season and will be hoping that he can prove to manager, Rafa Benitez that he is good enough to be a Rafa FC player. But with rumours floating around that some D1 clubs are interested in the winger means that he could still not be certian to stay at Rafa FC.
Clichy determined to fight for place
French U-21 International, Gael Clichy, who has returned from a successful loan spell in D1 will be looking to prove that he is good enough to play for Rafa FC. The left back who played for Minof's Gang last season had a good run there, playing a number of games and looking lively. Clichy, the Arsenal player that is being touted as the replacement for Ashley Cole looks set to play a major role for Rafa FC this season, with Rafa FC having a fairly poor first season will want to get the defence tighten up so that they can have a run at the D2 title. Clichy looks set to play in Rafa FC's pre season matches.

Meira joins Rafa FC for 2.5 million
Rafa F.C manager, Rafa Bentiez has started his quest in building up his depleted squad, with the signing of Portugal star defender, Fernando Meira for 2.5 million. The Stuttgart captain has put pen to paper on a 5 year deal. Rafa Benitez said that he is delighted with this signing as with the squad last season was full of loan players, and he was getting frusated with not being able to sign players on a permanent deal. This is the first of the summer transfers many people think and that there will be more to come. Fernando Meira who had a outstanding World Cup with Portugal will be a key figure for Rafa FC this season.

The centre back will tighten up Rafa FC's defence, with leaked goals last season, Meite may well be Materazzi's replacement.
http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/4788/meiteow8.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Meita, big things ahead for the star defender?
Lucas Neill signs
Australian International, Lucas Neill is the 5th signing of Rafa FC this season. The versatile defencer, that can play right back, left back and centre back. Neill, he was involved in Australia's World Cup team, where they were cruelly knocked out thanks to Totti's penalty in the 95th minute after Grosso fell over Neill. But despite Neill giving away the penalty, the Australian fans were very pleased with his World Cup performance. Rafa FC who needed a right back as last season's right back Arsenal's Lauren was only on loan, and has returned to his club. Neill has never been a player to not be in the spotlight, and he grapped headlines in the 03/04 season when he broke the leg of Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher, after a late challenge, and then refusing to appolize to Carragher for 48 hours after the magch. Neill who is vice captain at Blackburn, and his been linked with big money moves to defending European Champions Barcelona and also 5 time European champions Liverpool, Neill will be looking for a big season for Rafa FC this season.

French defender signs for Rafa FC
French defender, Franck Queudrue has also signed for Rafa FC. The French left back, or left winger is one of the number of defenders signed by Rafa Benitez. The fiery left back who has a bit of a reputition of lashing out at oppenents sometimes. The French defender that scores a few goals, mostly from set pieces, which he is known in the Premiership for. The French defender that will be competing againest fellow Frenchman Gael Clichy for that left back spot. The defender put pen to paper on a 3 year deal at New Anfield.

Roberto Carlos signs in Blockbuster deal!!!
In breaking news, Rafa FC have lured one of Brazil's most talented players, Roberto Carlos to New Anfield. The Brazilian left back, well known for a very powerful freekick, has signed on a season long loan, with young French left back, Gael Clichy joining Corleone FC. Carlos, said that he is looking forward to a new chapter in his career, and will be looking to do his best at Rafa FC, he has been assigned the number 6 shirt for the upcoming season.
Roberto Carlos, 33 has had a long career as a player, a career that has spanned 13 years, including playing in 3 different countries, playing 435 games and scoring 55 goals at club level, and playing 132 games for Brazil and scoring 11 goals. Roberto Carlos, well known for his trademark free kicks has had one of the most careers a player can wish for. Though Carlos has found the last year or so tough, as himself and his close friend and team mate Ronaldo have been victims of the media, being labelled as overweight and not good enough to play at top level anymore. But Carlos has fought the critics and has got himself back into shape. One of the most bizzare moments of Carlos's life was when he was robbed by two thieves while having a interview in Brazil, without realizing they were robbing one of the most successful players in the world.

In a close match at New Anfield Rafa FC and Alizee Lyonnais FC fought out a 0 - 0 draw, both teams cancelling each other out. Both teams really didn't have any chances with the best chance of the game for Alizee Lyonnais FC, when Adriano skipped past the challenge of Meira and firing a shot from range, only to shoot it millimeters wide. Rafa FC didn't really have any chances, perhaps their best one was a header from inside the box by Diop, but hit with no power and a easy grab for Polish keeper Kusczak. Both teams putting out weakned squads to give reserve players a chance and get formations right ahead of a new season.

Rafa vs The G: 2 - 1
By PrekiUSA
Long time Fantasy League Manager Rafa earned his first league victory in over two years. The win shows the amount of hardwork and dedication that the manager has put in to turn his program around.
Rafa's men started out flying getting an early goal off the head of big target man Jan Koller. The goal came off a curling set-piece service off the foot of Roberto Carlos.
Rafa F.C. doubled their lead when -G- Squad left back Patrice Evra got beat by Luka Modric and was forced to pull him down in the box. The veteran Carlos stepped up to take the shot which caught the cross bar, Ricardo Oliveira was opportunistic, however, and converted the rebound for the 2-0 lead.
Rafa F.C. looked keen to get the clean sheet but Chris Kirkland muffed a long shot of the foot of Jean Makoun which Salomon Kalou was able to stuff into the back of the net.
The win has been long coming for Rafa F.C. and has their fans optimistic for the first time in a long time.

Many fans have posted in message boards congratulating Rafa Benitez on selling Milan Baros and getting in some world class players.

Rafa FC loses out to bottom of table side
A tense encounter at New Anfield between 7th place Rafa FC and 10th place Sousa, saw Sousa take the three points thanks to striker Andy Johnson's brace. The game was fairly even, and people expected Rafa FC to come out on top, but it wasn't to be as Rafa FC continue their fight for survival along with Sousa.
While Sousa this was a much needed 3 points for the struggling team, but still remain a distance away from safety.
The match got off to a flyer when Suazo seemed to be through on goal before being hacked down by Portugal U21 international Da Costa, but the referee deemed Da Costa not to be the last man and a free kick was awarded. Over the free kick was Carlos, Diop and Pedersen, Pedersen ran in and tapped the ball back to Carlos who swung at it violently, and it swerved into the top corner, keeper Canizares left for dead as Rafa FC went up after just 7 minutes.
The next highlight was another one for Rafa FC after 21 minutes, the corner was whipped in by Pedersen and Yobo rose up for the header and missed and fell to the floor and seemed to be pushed by Distin, but the referee missed the incident. But just 8 minutes later, Sousa's team got a reward for it's determination. Odemwingie ran at the much slower Roberto Carlos, and after a couple of neat step overs, got past him before whipping in a cross, which seemed a routine catch for Landreau, but Landreau missed it totally, just throwing his arms towards the ball getting nowhere near it, as Andy Johnson controlled the ball before tapping the ball into the net at the back post. Rafa FC 1 - 1 Sousa, that's how the scoreline stayed until just after half time.
It was Rafa FC that made the most of the half time interval, as just 3 minutes into the 2nd half, tall Czech striker, Jan Koller put Rafa FC back infront, Pedersen had a run at the defence of Sousa, and slotted a delightful through ball to Koller, who cooly slotted past Canizares as Rafa FC went 2-1 up.
Then in the 51st minute, Rafa FC thought that game would be beyond doubt when Suazo rounded the keeper, only to scuff his shot wide of the post, to the disbelief of the fans and players. Just 2 minutes later, Da Costa came close with a long range drive, only for it to go wide. But Sousa did get the equalizer in the 55th minute in the form of Nigerian Peter Odemwingie, a pass back by Yobo fell horribly short of Landreau, and Odemwingie ran in and slotted the ball past Landreau to put Sousa back on level terms, which would make a interesting 35 minutes, which it was.
All the momentum was with Sousa, and they probably should of been 3-2 up in the 59th when Tymoschuk got the ball on the edge of the box, but fired his low shot wide. In the 63rd minute, Odemwingie, had a good chance to double his tally, but his long range effort went over the bar. Then in the 71st minute, Rafa FC had a great chance to go 3-2 up when substitute Oliveria put a shot from 5 yards out wide after a goal mouth scamble. Which lead to the swift counterattack which lead to Sousa's 3rd goal and ultimately the win. Canizares knocked it long, then it was flicked on by Tymoschuk to Wicky, who floated a ball into the box, where Odemwinigie shrugged off his marker, controlled the ball and shot into the bottom left corner to put Sousa 3-2 up. There was only one more meaningful effort after the goal and it came from David Suazo, who shot from just outside the box but curled his shot wide. The score ended Sousa 3 - 2 Rafa FC, to give Sousa 3 vital points.
Rafa 2-3 Sousa
R.Carlos 7’ (Assist: MG Pedersen)

Rafa Benitez completes 6 signings
Rafa FC manager, Rafa Benitez has completed 6 big signings in the first day of the transfer window, the first one, and perhaps the biggest is highly sorted left back, Nicky Shorey, he was so highly sought after, there were 4 total threads on him and one of them was 29 seconds and the other 2 just seconds behind Rafa's one thanks to the mighty Scarface !.
The other signings were Belgium international keeper Slivio Proto, who was rumored to be in talks with certain D2 clubs.
Alvaro Arbeloa, the Spanish right back, who was on the verge of joining Real Verdadera before doing a U-turn and joining the revolution happening at Rafa FC.
Brazilian international, Elano Blumer was also signed to reinforce the midfield, he was highly sought after last transfer window after a solid performance against England, but Rafa Benitez was first to snap up the highly promising midfielder.
The final 2 were also attacking signings, young Nigerian starlet, Chinedu Ogbuke, who is tipped for big things, are is rumored to be used as a winger for the up coming season. The last signing was Uruguay international, Javier Chevanton who is one of the most prolific strikers to come out of South America in the modern era.

Rafa completes controversial Pazzini signing
Rafa FC have swooped for another big signing in the transfer window, they have already arguably signed the biggest signing in left back Nicky Shorey, Rafa Benitez pulled off a massive shock by signing Giampaolo Pazzini from under the noses of 2 managers. Pazzani was set to sign for Captain Cabinet's side, before there was a error in him offering too much for a FSL loan, then it looked set for him to sign for Real Verdadera, but then that move was also rebuffed, and that was when Rafa Benitez made his move, offering new signing Jermain Defoe, long time Rafa FC player, Djribil Cisse on loan and 1 million and after intense negations between Rafa Benitez and Wan, they came to the agreement that Defoe joins Wan along with Cisse on a full season loan with the option of a permanent deal and 1m for the highly sought after Pazzini.
Many people in the media have branded the transfer as the most controversial in the history of the Fantasy League. This will severely hurt Real Verdadera as they were in the market for a world class striker, and to lose out in such controvesial circumstances will hurt them, while this will strengthen Rafa FC's attack to aid their D3 title push.

Rafa Benitez signs classy Brazilian forward
Rafa FC have signed their 8th player on the transfer window by signing 26 year old Brazilian international, Afonso Alves. The striker that missed out on the European golden boot very narrowly after he netted 34 goals in 31 games for Dutch club SC Heerenveen. Alves recently broke in the Brazil senior squad and has made 2 appearances for Brazil.
He has been seen on a full season loan deal from renamed club, Valjuan C de F who is managed by highly respected Spanish manager, Quique Sánchez Flores. Alves shall be a big signing for Rafa FC as they look to make their final deals of the transfer window and then can push for the D3 title and get promotion back to D2.

Costa joins Rafa FC knowing he will have to fight for his place at Rafa FC as they already have 3 other center backs, fellow countryman and highly rated 29 year old, Fernando Meira, 26 year old Nigerian international Joseph Yobo and recently signed 27 year old Czech international, Radoslav Kovac. Costa has stated though he is determined to prove that he is world-class defender and hopes to stay at Rafa FC for a number of seasons to come.
