Dreamcast was discontinued about 2 years ago as it couldnt compete with the PS2! It was pure and simply shite!

dreamcast was one of the best machines ever. many of the games lookig far better than earlier ps2 games. anyone who know anything about the industry admits the dreamcast was a tradegy.

oh and the dreamcast 2 statement was a joke, but sega have announced huge profits so it wouldnt suprise me if we see another machine in 8 years or so.

they might make another console but too be onest i very much dealt soo. They wouldnt help the COMPETION by makin games for um. Maybe like what patric said" maybe in about 8 yrs from now" i dont think that TOSHIBA would match sony since sony r just plain and simple the most biggest elctronic company e.g toshiba, mitsubishi, bush, samsung etc etc!!

i heard that is a chip and the ps3 is called "PS3 - THE CELL" the cell is the name of the chip an is an ex-marine chip. imagine playin pes5-6 on that or metal gear 4 or sumthin like that.

Uh - forgetting Soul Calibur? That was the DC's best-selling game.

DreamCast was a good console. SEGA give it little care however and it's unimaginable easy pirate issues led to it's ultimate downfall. Shame, it would have been a solid contender in the next-gen race.

I doubt SEGA will go back into making consoles. If they do, I'd be surprised to see them do it alone. A merger would fit nicely.
