I'm going for David, I think he is left fairly vunerable wide in midfield and would be caught out by the trickery and pace of Camoranesi and Van Persie. David's midfield is amazing too and Oliviera is capable of putting in the chances his creative midfield can make. A very close game though, where Martin's team is fully capable of nicking a point or maybe even three with a creative midfield and a pretty solid defence.

Ths is a very close one, at first glance I thought DP, the formation looks very good and van Persie and Riquelme are world class.
However, when looked into further, Martin has a very good diamond midfield going there, Parker and Emre being ferocious pitbulls snapping away at the opposition and with good distribution, and Hleb and Diego supplying wonderful creativity.
Defences are very even, two great goalkeepers, decent centre backs and good full backs.
Oliveira is a danger, especially with Camoranesi, van Persie and Riquelme creating the chances for him, however, Kuranyi and Berbatov is a very good strikeforce and would be a handful for Kuffour and Luisao, and the advantage of 2 strikers rather than 1 would be the match decider. Both teams have their strongest XI's out this week imo.
Martin to take it in another tight game. 2-1.

David P nicks it in a close one :)
that three man front is lethal
another close game tho, this season things are just so close its unreal!
This is another close game. But for this, I think I will vote for Martin. I think Reyes clealry exlpained the midfield real well. And Kezman - Kuranyi can be a wonderful partnership. Oliveira alone is hard, even with his clinical finishing. I think David, you need a partner for Oliveira. Riquelme from what i've heard has not been doing so well, but still is great. From your midfield Daivd, looks like Van Persie is the best in form. Both defences look real equal and the keepers, but what may be just different is the finishin from the strikers. Martin, to take this very close game.

Yeah, good to see. The D2 promotion race should be thrilling, so many teams can go up, unlike last year, when it was just a battle between Hunter and Muad to see who won the division.

martin takes this because of his good midfield and strikeforce
The diamond Midfield of Martin's in certainly one to watch. And it is surely overflowing with ability and link up play. Parker is always there biting at the ankles of David's Midfield and Attack, not letting them breathe with or without the ball. Shutting them down before they turn, really aggrovating there style of play therefore leading the frustration. Emre is another great player too, and this Midfield of Martin's will definetely do him wonders this season no doubt. Emre is capable of many things, and goals falls into that category. He often finds and spots the pass no one else does which sometimes leads through to a goal leaving the Defense baffled as to what happened. Before you know it Martin is 1-0 up against David. And his Midfield won't stop there no, Hleb producing some superb elemants of creativity and runs off the ball. Doing this leaving large gaps in the Defense, and once this is done Diego will pounce and expose the gap to great affect. David has some play-making ability of his own though, especially with Riquelme in the squad he is sure to bag a goal you would think. Also using Oliviera and Van Persie to persue that aim, and with the deadly combination I feel it would work.
Martin 2-1 David. Good game to both of you.

I'll say David here.
The defences are pretty much the same, but the battle comes down to the midfield area. Martin is playing it mostly in the middle of the park where David is playing it their and out wide. His wingers is what gives him the advantage, Van Persie is on good form at the moment so will cause problems, so too can Camoranesi. They could set up Oliviera who would have no problems slotting them home.

In real life, I think this would come to a draw. Cambiasso and Motta are protecting David's defense and I think that that would slow down Martin's fast counters and quick passing. That diamond is quite impressive. I know that Nelson is really dangerous down the flank and can produce amazing crosses, so the link up with Camoranesi may be something to see. All the balls that Oliviera would be fed makes me think that Dave is sure to get a goal or two in. With that said, I think that Martin would catch Dave on a counter after one of the long drawn out attacks he'd produce.
Good squads all around this year in D2, should be a great season for you guys. :)
I feel that the Scottish lad will win this one, as his attacking players will cause a lot of problems for Martin's defence. His midfield is also very strong and that would thwart Martin's midfield. Martin's forwards would cause many a problem for David's defence, but I still feel that Dave would win in a high scoring affair.
