Eugene, I think that your two center backs are a bit out of form. You're outside defenders are really nice though. It's a shame you can't slot Rosicky in there somewhere, as he's quite amazing. I like the combo in the midfield non-the-less. Good front line too. :)

Mat, You've got a good back line, very solid. You've also got a good center combo. Along with Nedved, nice. ;) You take it for me. Congrats

Figo:

Much better Goalkeeper than G. Del Horno and Ferdinand are questionable in DF with their current form, but a lot of potential none the less. I'm not sure that Cahill will cope too well against Tachinardi and Emerson so even though you have two great players like Pirlo and Lampard, you may lose out in MF. Nice forward line, but I prefer G's.

G:

Gk needs some improvement. Defence is very good, better than Figo's, particularly in the centre. Lovely looking midfield with everyone/everything you need to really hammer the opposition. Attack and defence won't be a problem for you at all. Makaay and Gilardino = great attack. Certainly better than an isolated Sheva in my opinion.

G takes it by a nose.

The G has a stronger defence. Ferdinand is in poor form, so would need a very strong partner, and for me, Helguera is not that.

Figo has great talent in Pirlo, Lampard and the 2 wingers, but the G has a much better shape in midfield. To help compensate for the 2 centre backs, there needs to be a strong holding player, and neither Cahill nor Pirlo is that. Tacchinardi and Emerson would win the battle there.

Lucio and Ayala is a tremendous partnership that could subdue Shevchenko.

Robben can pose a big threat in any game, but Javier Zanetti is one of the greatest full backs in the past 2 decades and his experience could see off the threat from Arjen.

With Nedved and SWP supplying them, Gilardino and Makaay would be dangerous and could cause serious problems for Rio and Helguera. Frank Lampard is the guy who I could see being Figo's biggest threat, but The G seems to have that covered aswell with Emerson, one of, it not the best holding midfielder in the world.

Figo - I think your wingers are the best around. Robben and And Ronaldo can pose a threat at anytime. That's a big advantage, and i think Ronaldo can dominate Evra. Eugene, your centre-backs have been on poor form, Lucio and Ayala have been much better. Pirlo, Cahill and Lampard looks more solid. Cahill can come up big at some times, while Tacchinardi is the on-off type of player. Shevchenko is a fabulous striker, we all know that. And with the possible crosses that Robben and Ronaldo can deliver, Shevchenko makes no mistakes.

Mat - Great team, amazing players. Full of quality. If you have such a weak link, it may only be Tacchinardi. I don't think he has been on a great form lately. Although, Emerson and Pedretti/Appiah can sound real well. Your defence is much better than Figo's one's here. So good point to that. And the Makaay-Gilardino partnership looks amazing, even better than Sheva alone.

But the point that makes me vote for Figo, is your keeper Mat, Dida! He has been terrible on form, just check out the Milan thread or ask Sweey, i think Sheva can take full advantage of it. So, close game, but Mat, your keeper won't do you much favours at this moment. Figo for me.

yea figos d sucks, but his attack and midfield balance might be unmatched in the FL, G's team will win a lot of games b/c of his balance as well but my vote goes for figo, get cahill outta there tho

Mat just get's it.

As many have said about the defences, Mat's overall is better. Figo's defence is on poor form at the moment, so they could maybe help get Mat a goal or two. Mat's defence is rock solid at the moment, evryone's on good form, they'll prove that their a force to be reckoned with. Midfield though i think Figo would get it, 5 on 4 really. Lampard, the name speaks for it's self, he is on blistering form at the moment and could change this match, Cahill and Pirlo behind him, that would let Lamps to get forward while they cover the center of the pitch. However because Figo is playing 5 in midfield and 1 upfront it gives Mat the advantage. As Mat's defence is amazing right now Sheva would certainly find it difficult to break through on his own, he needs someone up their beside him. Makaay-Gilardinho, exellent partnership and could take advantage of Figo's out of form defence. Ronaldo and Robben though could cause some problems, but nothing Evra and Zanetti can't handle. Good game guys!

Ooh, tight. The prowess in Figo's front four is amazing, and they would cause a lot of problems for The G's strong defence. I reckon that up the other end, the attack is again going to cause a lot of problems for a strong defence. Two very strong starting XIs, but Figo's would scrape it.

I voted for Figo, Dida haven't been a reliable keeper recently so Hildebrand goes for this one. in terms of defence, I'll compare each defender to the other: Lucio is better than Ferdinand, Helguera (and I really think he in particular can win any air ball coming for Makaay or Gila) is better than Ayala, Zanetti is definitely better than Miguel but Evra aint no better than del Horno I think. so that makes it a draw in defence, but in midfield I'd say Figo has the best midfield ever if not for Cahill and Rosicky is the man to be there, but as for G's midifield I dont think SWP is on form now unlike his three teammates in midfield who are just great but I think if Recoba gets a role to play it'd be better for the team. Makaay and Gila's partnership is great yeah band everything ut I think if Ronaldo gets any close to G's goal along with Sheva there's no stopping them.. Robben might find it hard to go through with Zanetti but I think Ronaldo and sheva are just too good for lucio ,Ayala and Evra, not to mention Lampard's shooting ability.

Still The G, you're team is really good man.
