Forwards- tied, we both have great forwards

Midfield-My centre midfields are more established, and my wingers are more dynamic, del piero isn't coming back to play any defense and won't stay outside, where mine will definately keep there form.

Defense-Centrebacks, Mihajlovic is more experienced and I don't know much about ur cbs, my side backs are much better than urs ;)

so obvioulsy I vote for myself :)

Edit: Rangers your team is quite class, sorry if I seem a little negative about ur side, i can't say enough about ur forwards, tough to stop for my stone footed backs :)

Yep Preki, you have a better defense that Rangers.......

Great game lads, one look at both attacks and you know both defences have a lot of work to do.

Preki's Toni-Fred partnership is great, I think they'd cause Rangers' defence many problems with the combination of power and pace of the two. Zokora and Keane in the middle of the park would battle well with De Rossi and Mavuba but I think latter would win in the middle of the park. Kalou and Beasley possess great pace and would look to get at the fullbacks but I don't think thats anything Maicon and Dede can't handle. Del Piero, in hot form right now, speaks for itself. A great threat. Van Der Vaart is also a very dangerous player and would cause Preki's defence problems. The pace of Martins would be too much for Mihajilovic and Mertesacker, it'kd leave them for dead. And with the clinical finishing of David Villa, I think Rangers' team could score a fair few.

my side backs are much better than urs ;)
I disagree, Dede is a great little player who Chelsea were targetting but got Del Horno as a 2nd choice. Maicon is an AC Milan target and is arguably one of the most promising right backs in the world.

Very very close game, but I think Rangers' team is slightly better.

I disagree, Dede is a great little player who Chelsea were targetting but got Del Horno as a 2nd choice.

Sort of 3rd choice really, let's not forget about Ash ;)

I'll keep this one short as my hands ache. Preki will win, but not by an English country mile like he thinks :D

Mij and Keano should be fine when protected by Mertesacker and Zokora, so that's his only real weakness and it looks to be under control.

This should be a thriller. The teams are so close overall, as the teams are using similar formations, i'll go through each position.

GK - De Sanctis is the better of the two keepers. Probably the second best keeper in Serie A behind Buffon in my opinion.

LB - Close contest, two good Brazilians, but I think Maxwell is better.

RB - Another two talented Brazilians, Mancini is better going forward than defending, similar to Cafu in a lot of ways, but his pace and stamina make him a very good right back. He's on fire at the moment so Preki again edges that one.

Centre-backs - Pretty much equal to be honest. I think they would both struggle due to the superb attacks both teams have, high scoring game here I reckon.

Left wing/offensive midfielder - Van der Vaart is a fantastic player, so would cause problems, however Beasley's pace would also cause Maicon problems. Beasley is more of a threat on the wing i'd say, but overall VDV is the better player so RF has more of a threat on the left/left central side.

Centre mids - RF has two excellent young midfielders in De Rossi and Mavuba, but I think Preki has two men who can actually outfight them. Zokora and Keane is a very strong partnership in the middle, who would have too much muscle for their opponents I feel.

Right wing/offensive midfield - Del Piero, the name speaks for itself. Oustanding player and a huge threat, however I feel he should be playing further forward here. The game would be very fast paced and frantic, so I think he'd be better off alongside Vlla up-front. Soloman Kalou is a super talent, can't speak highly enough of that guy, would cause big problems for Dede, I can see him getting the better of him there.

Strikers - Another very close call, Martins pace would be a massive threat as Mertesacker and Mihailjovic lack pace, Mancini and Maxwell would have to use their pace to come inside and cover at times, and De Sanctis would have to be at his wonderful best. David Villa is red hot, give him a chance and he'll bury it. The same can be said for Luca Toni, possibly the most in-form strikers you'll find in Europe currently. Fred is another wonderful talent, a lot of great Brazilians on show here.

Taking everything into account, this would be an unbelieveably exciting and close fought contest, but I feel Preki would win it by a single goal. The key being his central midfield duo and goalkeeper. Both attacks are much better than the defences, so I think this would be a very high scoring game.

Prediction: Rangers 3-4 Preki. 7 goal thriller

2 of the favourites for promotion i'd go as far as saying.

Good game Preki.

I feel my full backs are slightly, and i mean slightly better than Preki's. Just my opinion of course, both of our center backs i'd say are average.

Midfield, i'd say my center midfielders are better. Keane is starting to lose it, right now he's playing poor for Celtic so i'd say Mavuba and De Rossi would be better, although Zakora is a great player imo. Beasley and Kalou i like, tough challenge their, i'd say i'm a bit better here though, mainly because of Del boy's form right now. I havn't seen much of Beasley this season so i can't say much about him.

Attack, i'd say we'r equal. Villa and Toni are in great form right now. Martins and Fred i'd say are near enough the same, martins has the pace, fred has the power. I like your strikerforce mate.

Overall i'd say i would just nick it.

Wow. This must be the game of the week in Division 2. Too close to call, i'd like to go through each position aswell.

GK - I think De Sanctis is just a tad better than Franco as of the moment. And James said the is probably the best keeper in Serie A just behind Buffon. Preki this department.

DR - Maicon from what i've been watching has been great for Monaco this season, but so too has Mancini. Mancini is the more attacking type. Maicon does that too, but he defends real aswell. I go for Maicon. Rangers here.

DL - Dede and Maxwell, such classes. I think Maxwell the better one, I pick Preki here.

DC - Marchena and Van Buyten are not so bad in my opinion, but it's fairly equal to Per Mertesacker and Mihajlovic. It's really difficult, but I will pick Merte and Mihajlovic. Preki.

Midfielders - I think Mavuba and De Rossi are class defensive midfielders. And i watch Mavuba, teaming up with someone like De Rossi, can be an amazing partnership. One of the bests. Zokora and Keane are also nice, but Keane has been in a poor form lately. Zokora stands out more, so i go for Rangers with Mavuba and De Rossi.

Vaart - Piero, Beasley - Kalou. I agree with Rangers, the name Del Piero speaks for itself. And he has been on an amazing form as of late. So too has Vaart, one of the finest still. Beasley and Kalou are good aswell, but matching up with Boy and Vaart, i must go with Rangers here again.

Strikers: Toni - Fred, Villa - Martins! Wow! I think Villa can punish any team, and with Mihajlovic, i think he can outpace him. But so too can Toni against Buyten. Very equal strikers, but Toni and Fred just looks more dangerous and both have been on a great form. Villa is on excellent form, so too is Martins especially in the African Cup. What can I say? Too hard to call, Preki here.

Count all my scores up, it's 4-3 to Preki. How close this can get? Best match so far. I vote for Preki, congrats. But this will be almost too hard to call for anyone else.

Very close. I think that you should sub Marchena out for Juan. Marchena isn't playing at the top of his game for Valencia right now and would probably let you down. Saying that, the center backs are equal. Both the backs are attack minded and I think Preki has a better left back and Rangers has a better right back. :)

But wow...after that it's pretty equal, but John takes it.

Clsoe game here. The pace and ability of his forwards would cause problems for Preki's defenders, as they aren't the quickest between them. Rangers attacking midfield and Preki's defensive midfield would be an interesting battle, Rangers attackers have the edge on skill but Preki's defensive players could bully them a little. Also, Preki's wingers could cause a major problem for a Rangers team lacking in the wide areas. Preki's strikers and Rangers' defenders are evenly matched I feel.

Very tight, but I reckon Rangers would shade it.

It's certainly lived up to it's potential. Everytime you enter the thread, there's been a twist in the match

3-3 at the moment, I predicted 4-3 in a 7 goal thriller, probably won't recieve enough votes for that, but it'll be close.

edit: Actually 2-2, forgot how the voting worked
