The G's back line and centre mids are so good at stopping attacks that SWP and Nedved would have free reign all over the pitch causing many problems, i also don't think colt has the attacking quality to beat that great backline

The midfield battle here is tight, Colt possibly has the edge, the Cocu-Ballack pairing is excellent, and two very good and hard-working wide players in Ze Roberto and Schweinsteiger. However, The G is a lot stronger in the centre of defence and has a better frontline. Lucio and Ayala could nullify the threat from Larsson and Anelka, but down the other end, Tevez and Gilardino could cause a lot of problems for Ismael and particularly, Oleguer, who is a poor centre back, in my opinion. 1-0 win for the G. Tevez.

The G takes this one just, great defence and a well balanced midfield.

Very close, but the thing that's slightly better, is Colt's mid-field, it's deadly..
:ninja:

My vote goes to Colt P. Sorry Matt.

Fair enough, but what do you mean by "the thing that's slightly better, is Colt's midfield"?

So your saying my defence and attack is better?

EDIT: I'm not arguing or attacking you because you voted for Colt by the way, I just want to clear this up as I don't understand your reason.

I agree with this.

I think that Colt is slightly stronger in central midfield because he is more balanced. For me Emerson and Appiah is a little too defensive. Ballack and Cocu will defend almost as well, but attack much better. Nedved is one of the best players around, and so he'll also add a huge amout to the midfield. It'll take a lot from Schweinsteiger to get to grips with him.

The main problem I have with Colt's lineup is his central defence. That needs improvement, particularly in terms of Oleguer, who is decent enough but not good enough to lead a defence.

2-0 to ThE G, however Colt has a lot of quality and so can't be ruled out.

Hm, I think Colt would win. Ismael and Oleguer are in good form this season. Oleguer is getting a lot of praise from Barca fans as he's stepped up this season. Cocu and Ballack would dominate against Appiah and Emerson. Bastian and Ze are brilliant wingers and I think that they would get a slight upperhand. Nedved is amazing, but in general....

Larsson is consistant and has done well in the absense of Eto'o for Barca. Anelka has also seemed to have found form this season. Anyways, that's how I've voted.

G would win. he has a very strong defence and Colt's attack wouldn't get through. I also feel that he has a decent attack which would cause Colt some problems.

I agree with this comment.

Colt can win because of his great Cocu-Ballack partnership which is very strong. Probably one of the best midfield partners you can find. Schweinsteiger and Ze Roberto are great wingers and can provide excellent crosses for Larsson and Anelka, who usually don't need second chances. Anelka has hit great form lately and Larsoon as stepped up well in the absence of Eto'o. As for Tevez-Gila, it looks great, but I think Tevez is more suited as an attacking midfielder Mat. I don't know what the hell is going on with SWP these days, so I can't really comment on him. But I think MAt's defense is hell lot stronger than Colt's. It's just the midfield chemistry with the attackers that make me vote for Colt.

I think The G wins. He has the better defense and attack in my view. Colt has an excellent midfield though. Tough call.

Mat just edges this one. His defence and attack are better than Colts. Colt has the better midfield though so could probably get a goal or two.
