Martin gets the win as barry's midfield is out of sorts, Martin's backline is also stronger and that midfield trio is also very nice

Might as well hand in the win already, as i believe its the same formation as last week. Sorry, sorry, sorry.

How could I be so stupid?

don't worry about it, the season is young, if you stay on top of things from here on out you can turn it around

Martin takes this one for me. Barry already knows, unfortunately he forgot to properly update his team, everyone makes mistakes. Better to get them done at the start of the season and rid them away.

Martin's structure is very good, well organised side. Maybe move Hleb and Parker a bit wider, but only ever so slightly. Parker would win all the loose balls and put his foot in at every available chance which gives his Midfield motivation and a drive straight from the off. Hleb's creativity would most certainly cause trouble throughout Barry's team. Hleb can run with the ball confidently and also slot in the killer pass. Just a shame that there isn't much competition with the Midfield battle as Barry's structure is poorly organised. Although his Midfield has the potential to be excellent and could cause many threats.

Defensively Martin takes this one too, Mellberg is letting your back line down in my opinion Barry. Bridge may not be world class but he seems to be able to get the job done and his recent form for Fulham has been fairly good. I quite like B.Mendy too, got some pace and can stick a foot in when least expected. So for me Martin takes the Defensive side of things too.

Attacking wise now. However sloth like and lazy Drogba plays, he always seems to bag a goal and thats crucial as we all know. I don't like the player but he does the required job whether flashy or sloppy. Also Crespo is one with an eye for goal, he can poach in the box too. His heading is a great asset for Barry's team as well as his long range shooting. Although Martin has pushed 3 up top to push forward I see Barry's Offense just as good if not better in certain departments. But Kezman is a good player and has now picked himself up for Athletico Madrid, Berbatov can definetely do damage when called upon too so its close. But I'm probably swaying back fourth from Barry to Martin, but it doesn't really matter much as overall I think Martin would win here.

Barry 1 - 2 Martin

You have a very talented team mate, I can't see you struggling too much through the season. Just get your formation sorted for the next game and you can bounce back with ease.

Mhm, Barry, if you update it now, it'll be fine. So get on it. ;)

PS-
Martin gets this. Barry knows pretty much why. Good stuff Martin.

Would that be fair towards martin though?

I ment your formation in the formations thread, sorry I wasn't specific. :)

This is tight, the defences are closely matched, but i'd give a slight edge to Martin as Mellberg has lost the defending ability he once had, although one weakness I can see in Martin's backline is 3 left footers, who will be up against two right footers in Drogba and Crespo, Bouma in particular could struggle and might be wrong footed at times.

The midfield, however, is where I can see Martin gaining a crucial upper hand, Vogel and Parker will drop back to help out the defence and the latter will also be useful going forward alongside the creative Belarussian, Hleb.

Berbatov and Kezman can put the ball in the back of the net given the chance, Drogba and Crespo likewise, but I feel Martin's team will create more chances as he'll win he midfield battle which will prove decisive. Lots of quality in Barry's lineup, though, so once the right setup has been found, i'm sure he'll fly up the table. 2-1 to Martin.

Martin gets this one......I think that he midfield and attack is excellent and can destroy Barryvs defense......

True.

Barry, I think the story of this game could have been completely different should you have changed you formation and put on the right one. ;). Your midfield looks all out of sorts man. And with that said, Martin takes this for me, because he also has good squad tbh. I like that trio of Denilson, Berbatov (who was on great form for Leverkusen last night) and Kezman.

Martin will take my vote.

I reckon Barry would edge it. His side has more attacking power, and that would cause many a problem for Martin's weak defence. Barry wouls also win the midfield battle too.

I think the two defences are pretty equal and so are the two forward line. what makes me go for martin is your mistake in midfield but you really have a good team overall.
