Rafa:
Nicely balanced team, with plenty of power and also technique. You should be able to break up an attack and launch a nice one of your own. The pace and potential of Rafinha and Clichy is very exciting, and you can bet that they'll give you a great boost going forward. Kovac and Hofland are experienced and skilled enough to provide you with a solid base on which the rest of the team can rely upon.
Both Diop and Carrick will get stuck in when it comes to closing down and making important tackles, and of course going forward they'll be very useful too with Carrick's technique and vision, and Diop's power and shooting. Your wide midfielders are good, Zairi is skillful and will certainly cause a few problems for Leo i'm sure.
Your forwards are very capable of scoring goals. Plenty of energy and power that will certainly keep Luisao and Edmilson honest.
Dave:
Great goal keeper, playing behind a decent defence. Your full backs will certainly push up too, giving you more ability in the wide areas than you formation looks able to provide.
You're midfield trio are very good, they'll give you a good base to move forward from. I think you may just edge the midfield battle, as Cambiasso and Motta can occupy Diop and Carrick, leaving Riquelme to push forward and cause problems for Rafa's defence. Couple this with the relative in-experience of Rafa's full backs and you're bound to find the back of the net.
Your forwards are very good, they'll further stretch Rafa's defence. I agree with Preki though that RvP should probably switch with Farfan.
All in all I think Dave takes it, mainly because his formation is better suited to this game. He will stretch Rafa in numerous ways throughout the whole match, and should have the versatility to hold out defensively. However with Rafa's dynamic midfield and lively forwards I see him grabbing one or two.
Prediction: Dave to win 3-1 / 3-2
Rafa, there's nothing wrong with your offence but you need to get better players on the other positions..
Dave, defence needs to be worked on but offence is good but your mid-field is great..
Dave to win it by 0-2.

Not much else I can say since I agree with you.
Carrick and Diop are a great pair though, Diop really working to get the ball with Carrick distributing it greatly to the front men or wingers. Riquelme would most definetely cause havoc with his creativity and Farfan's pace. Van Persie is deadly on the ball also with his whipping crosses and his shots from anywhere.
So for me:
Rafa 1 - 3 Dave

Dave, you've got one of the best teams in D2, imo. Great work.
Rafa, you've also got a good team, but Dave just gets it because I think his men have more of an ability to create and score.
Dave........amazing team you have dude......very balanced in all areas.......

Wow, this is a suprisingly one-sided. David P has a very good team, but I also like Rafa's. He has a strong midfield and front two, and he is good enough to score a goal here at the very least.
I fancy Rafa for the one. Dave has got no real strikers on the pitch, just attacking midfielders or forwards. And Rafa has a enough players in defence and defensive midfield positions to stifle the creative players, who would create for no-one. He also has a couple of pacy forwards, who would cause problems for Dave's relatively weak defence.

More or less, I'd say just about the same thing here. Rafa has a lovely balanced team, with Diop and Carrick who are once again the main standouts of your team. Love and Fabiano looks nice together, but facing Riquelme, Farfan, VP and Camora, It's going to be a bit tight for you Rafa mate. David has I think a better overall team in terms of creativity and goal scoring opportunities. I do agree with Preki though, a switch around of VP and Farfan will look fab. Good game.
Should end alteast 3-2. ;)

Dude no offence but weak defence? and Van Persie is deadly infront as goal just as he is creative on the wings.
as i said no offence, but Nelson Luisao and Leo are all in great form at the moment. Just thought it was a strange comment

Alright then, I'll explain. It's just that these guys aren't really known to me (and many others as well I would've thought) and the Portuguese league, which is where I know some of them are based, is not really reknowned for being a really strong league, so they may appear to be good players over there.
As for van Persie, yes he is deadly in front of goal, but playing as a lone striker would not work for him. He is a player who drops off the front man/men, and his natural game would force him to do that.

Well Benfica are good enough to torment Manchester United though, currently second in the Premiership.
I agree that it's difficult to gauge a few players, no one knows every single player. But I agree with a point Muad made a while back, that if you don't know anything about them then you should look them up on the internet. Either that or not pass comment on them at all.
I see your point mate, but I think that you're at fault here.
