For the PC version, just put the file(should be called KONAMI-WIN32PES5OPT, rename it if it isn't) in C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 5\save\folder1

It might ask you if you want to overwrite a file already in there, say yes

Take flags off Int'l Kits. THey look ridiculous on them.
More USA players created to be bought in ML. Obviously, the best thing would be for MLS teams to be created over various club teams, but either would be nice.

All leagues, not just Premiership- I use Rapid more than Sao Paulo, and you put the max drive into the PS2, and copy to memory card using the wee disc :)

I like to play as Leeds Utd. in my master league. I would like to get their Kit and badge in the game but am having trouble finding a suitable image that is the right size and number of colours. I don't have photo shop and therefore can't seem to get a file that the PESfan editor will accept. Do you have an appropriate file or could you point me to somewhere that I might find what I need? Would you consider releasing an alternate file with Leeds in the mix?

This option file sounds great, like others, I'm wondering if someone with the PS2 and PSP game, if someone is that hardcore for this game can post a PSP option file. I did manage to get one over at this address:

It's pretty good, got national emblems, all the correct club teams emblems (looks great!!) the transfers aren't quite upto date, but it's good, all names are correct, got some good kits, not perfect mind u, but a good attempt. No Walcott at Arsenal, and no extra teams like this option file, is it possible to mix them together to get the national emblems off this option file and put them on Watson's v1.0, can be for your v2.0 then.

I'm wondering if anyone if having crashes with the Xbox version of this option file? I have had 3 hang-ups in a row and none before using this. I did some further editing of the file before installing to the game. ( I overwrote one team and created Leeds) and moved a few players around.
Now it hangs on me during gameplay only( the first two times during training and the third during a match, all in Master league)
Any ideas as to What I may have done, or how to fix it with the editor.
PS : I imported the badge and logo for my ML team from WE8 thru the in game option.

New jerseys aren't done yet, for V2 they will be, but I think Twellman is there, and as for it not working, I don't think that is this option file :)

What a great update my friend, Walcott and co. look very good. The only thing I have changed is "The F.A. Premiership" to "Barclays Premiership" thats what I am used to, and also Henry's boots from white & red Nike to white & gold as thats what I see him in now although he always changes.

I can finally start enjoying this game as I havent really been bothered as I wanted an update, now I got one.

This option file looks great. However, in the description it says that everything in the WE shop is unlocked... That does not appear to be the case. Mine shows 250 WEN and nothing is unlocked.


Any help would be appreciated.

It should all be unlocked- if it isn't, just do so with the PESFan Editor :)

I don't have Xbox myself so am not sure but everything needs to be unlocked for all the team players, as lots of created players are written over classics :)

Above is a link to an slightly tweaked versions of Watson's awesome Option file. It's in WE9 Xbox format so you will need to convert it with the PESFan Editor if you want to use it on PES 5. The important changes are:

-I have gone thru every team in the game (apart from the Classic teams for obvious reasons) and set appropriate kick takers for Short and Long Free Kicks, Left and Right Corners, and Penalties. You may disagree with some of my choices as there are often multiple players on a team with similar kicking skills, but now every set piece kick will be taken by someone suited to taking it.

-I have altered the starting line-ups and strategies for about 15% of the teams. (I like to SQUARE be left attack, CIRCLE to be right attack and TRIANGLE to be counter attack.) These were the teams I expect to play as at some point and I wanted their line-ups to suit me. For example, I replaced Ze Roberto with Juninho on Brazil because I simply prefer him. There are no wacky changes. Usually I just replaced average players with better players - Ajax is a good example of this.


Minor changes:

1. Changed some of the team names back to what they were in PESFan PES 5 V2 Option file. This is just personal preference.

2. Changed some of the League names so they suit my Master League.

3. Corrected/changed a few Stadium names to Olympiastadion Munchen, Niigata Big Swan, Signal-Iduna-Park, Mestala and Saitama Stadium.

4. Edited Ronaldinho so his Reponse is 80 and his FK accuracy is 87. Edited Carew of Lyon to remove his star for "Side" and add a star for "Scoring".

5. Robben put back on the Netherlands.

I need some help, though. I haven't installed an option file since the first Pesfan - which I succesfully ftp'ed to my Xbox. This is quite some time ago and now I can't remember which folder I have to place the option file in. Also, am I not supposed to delete some files (in some other folders)? I've search this site (as well as other PES-sites) and the internet, but I can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for.

The Arsenal kits aren't editable so I don't know what you mean, they are licensed so are the same as they were to begin with :)

2. Buy an X-Port
3. Mod your PS2.

I haven't checked it yet, but a few suggestions that I have (which may or may not be taken care of)
Take flags off Int'l Kits. THey look ridiculous on them.
More USA players created to be bought in ML. Obviously, the best thing would be for MLS teams to be created over various club teams, but either would be nice.

For the PC version, just put the file(should be called KONAMI-WIN32PES5OPT, rename it if it isn't) in C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 5\save\folder1

It might ask you if you want to overwrite a file already in there, say yes

Actually, I decided to take the plunge and try the PC PES5 option file with my WE9 game. It works fine! All clubs/names correct, all shop options unlocked etc. The name of the option file (KONAMI-WIN32PES5OPT) is even the same, you don't need to change anything.

Ah, this sucks. I can only use the Swap Magic DVD in my PS2, my PS2 fails to read CD's including the Swap Magic CD version, so if i downloaded the bin/cue version of this I would need to get it on a DVD, would it work?

As far as I am aware the disc for max drive for ps2 is a CD.

Best thing to do is find someone that lives nearby you, post them your mem card and let them copy the file for you.

If no one else offers I'll do it for you if you send it up with a SA envelope enclosed.

Will this work in World Soccer Winning Eleven 9? I am having a tough time finding a compatible OF for this game, mine is recognised as WS?????????9???????? as the name of the option file in the memory card viewer.

Most of the files i found are named as Pro Evolution Soccer 5 OF, which is not compatible with this game :(
