View Full Version : Don't use 360's
It ruins perfectly good runs

I oncenutmegged a defender while doing it just outside their box. It helps to get out of tight squeezes.

I tend not to use it too often as since it can be performed so easily, it has the potential to easify (new word) the game.
Good addition for multiplayer, though.

That should result in a penalty. Happened to me a couple of times.
sometimes it does but sometimes it doesnt.
believe it or not i did it and the ref played advantage  and the ball rolled wide.
I've never done thatin a match before i will go and try it right now.

there really is nothing like a flash finish just to wind up your mates, a delicate chip is lovely too and taking it round the goalkeeper is another very satisfying way to end a move.
I did that in my master league on the keeper and i got pener but my striker Di Vaio missed that stupid wanka.

I tend to use it most with my smfs when I want to get past the sb in a more flashy way.
the only time i realy use it is when im 1-1 with a keeper but a defender is coming in from the side, if you do a spin at the right time easy 1-1 with the keeper. i like it more in multiplayer because my friends always seem to foul me when i do it and they get send off, hahha

The 360 move usually results in losing the ball for me but when it does work, it looks very cool :)
When i'm playing with my mates i tend to do a lot of tricks as it seems to get on their nerves cause they always get annoyed is well and they get sent off is well.Ha Ha Ha
Good point Zygalski sometimes my player just forgets to take the ball.

yeah it's not enough just to beat them, no you have to humiliate them to the point of boiling frustration, thats when the game really does come into its own. like real life football in a way - trying to wind up the opposition to put them off their game.
LOL! what happen if your mate stands up and hit you?

I find the 360 is useful but very difficult to implement. You fact you can turn the stick clockwise or counter clockwise to turn towards the inner or outer part of the field is very handy

yup i have seen the com done that a few times, but when to use it? that is the hard one.

Because you only need to rotate the stick 180 degrees it makes it slightly easier but when using it timing really is everything. When approaching a defender you have to slow the dribble down wait for him to come close then use the move bearing in mind which way you want to turn past him.
I am not sure which is which but if you rotate the stick west-north-east you turn up the pitch on a 45 degree angle or if you rotate the stick east-south-west you will turn down the pitch at a 45 degree angle to your original run direction.
Take some time in free training and call a couple of subs on to defend, after a while you will be able to turn past them quite easily. Doing it in a game becomes inifinitely more difficult but not impossible, you can even to do it with the master league boys, Castolo, Huylens, Minanda and Barota are fairly handy.
Practice is key though, but after about 200 training attempts, I can do them in real games, especially against human opponents.
200 training sessions? or 200 times training 360's?
i would like to master 360's :p

just do the 360 when u are in a load of space then u can't lose it.
and also i find it really hard to flick the ball up in the air for a volley cos theirs never enough space for the ball to go far enough!!!

Yeah man, I have to split my time between my girlfriend and the game so as you can understand when I get the chance to play, I play as much as possible.
Another reason why I've trained so much is because I always have a training session in between every master league game I play and practice all the flicks and tricks so they are easier to do in real games. It really seems to help and all of a sudden my players are happier and the wins are coming at a greater consistency. Probably just coincidence.
Another interesting aspect of training during the season is that when you are playing away and you train before the game you get to train in the empty stadium of your next opponent.
Its a good way to get a look at all the detail in the stadiums and gives a good feeling when you actually play the next game of having been on the pitch before, and yes I am a nerd in the guise of a cool guy.

nerd yes, how can you be bothered training that much? after every game? that smacks of an unheathly obsession. I suppose you have everything in your fridge and bathroom symetrical or aligned in order of height or colour or something daft.

Yeah man, I am a control freak. I also play fifteen minute matches in ML. All this practice really leads me to my main goal though, and that is the taking apart of my friends when I play them.

I bet whoever said it ruins good runs isnt playin on 5 star! on 5 star just runnin dusnt usually work u hav to do somtin different to get past people.
I aslo think this trick ruins perfectly good runs.
I prefer using the fient when i come to one and ones.
Finding it very hard to use double and triple feitn though. :(
I agree with some of the other posters in here - this move can be easier when you practice it a couple dozen times in practice.
The best thing is whipping this trick out when you are a couple of goals up on a friend and he is psychotically trying to break your player's shins. Wait for the right moment. . . . then jam that R3 stick. As you piroutee around your fallen opponent, turn away from the screen and yell "OLE!!" in your mate's face.
Priceless humiliation :D That;s why i play the game.
God, you do like it dont you!
Dont you take the one trick abit seriously?!
Nah only joking, i love the trick and leave your mates gutted, but i dont really yell out loud when i do it!

Nah - I cant yell it out loud cuz one of my friends stopped playing with me for a while, becaue he got so mad at my trash talking. Ihave to practice good beavior from now on or he wont play. :(
