I'm not bothered about the render I'd like to see the backgrounds but it's unlikely you saved them as a .psd as the only .psd files you have are the renders.
Have you saved the sig as a PSD tutty? If so, just upload that ;). BTW, nice sig... Like the BG, render looks good too.
Yeah i did save it as psd but the history dont come up when you put it back up.

Yeah i did save it as psd but the history dont come up when you put it back up.
thus making it not a psd .. call me an asshole but i don't believe you make those backgrounds. Certainly not from scratch anyways. They look too much like the standard ones you can download or copy, avalible on DeviantART and such resource websites. Go ahead and prove me wrong but i just can't see you producing them. I mean, you don't cut your own renders and your text isn't up to par with the rest of the sig's, so i have very little faith in you .. i'd love for you to prove me wrong though man ..

@Jamster Move the render down a bit, blur the render in again, make the render bigger also. Decent BG.. Alright text. Pretty decent for your first attempt - It's better than my first one :D.

You are a cheating EDITOR. That's not making sigs, anyone can copy something and use downloaded brushes on them to make them look pretty and download a psd and stick it on, do a bit of shit text and pass it off as a sig. You're not an artist, you haven't a creative bone in your body. Your some 12 year old kid with no sense. Hopefully you'll learn. I know those background are there to be downloaded and used, but it's pretty pathetic in my opinion .. all you do is slap text on them and your little signature, asshole.

yes text is always my problem i try and try but i never get it right and in sigs the text can make or break it. thanks for your comment.

Nice one Cali, a really vibrant sig. As others have mentioned it's a retro subject which is awesome. And the brushing is great, my favourite part. Not so sure about the text, not sure it looks right but other than that it's ace.

Haha that is fucking class, I love the way that 3 metre pops out of the sig. Thebadge maybe could have been bigger and better possibly by dropping opacity and not doing to much over it.

I like the effect behind Eto'o, it sets the sig alight nicely. :) On a negative side, the text is a bit clumsy. Also the Barca badge could be blended in better.

I for one, don't use any tutorials. Just work your way up man, don't expect to be doing sigs anywhere near Teekay's class, I've been photoshopping for some time and I'm not even close.
okay, for some basics you should check out good-tutorials.com
I haven't used tutorials in ages, you will slowly find out the stuff you want to use for your style.

This is a really nice sig, although to me the render lets it down. It's too sharp and could do with being blended a little, or perhaps tone down the effects. I'm not too keen on the 'Ice Cube' text either, the thick stroke on it looks out of place in my opinion. Don't get me wrong though it's a great sig!

Greenegg - This is a good all round sig mate, my favourite part being the Ronaldo looking straight at you. The cut on him is faultless and it looks like the curves and colour have been tweaked to look nice and menacing. I wouldn't have included the ghost hugging himself and focused on blending ron 1 with the background a bit more. Text still needs a bit of work but doesn't look totally out of place. All in all nice one, still constant improvements!
Original? - This is a chilling sig, it really works and feels really macabre. Great subtlety in effects and colour, awesome.
Cracky - A very simple sig and the text does feel as though it's been slapped on anywhere a little but we all do that now and then. Good effects behind eto really make a forward flowing impact and the uncovered badge is a nice idea too.
Teekay - This is great. Haven't got much critically to say about it. I particularly like the light on torres' face. A sharp render as well, awesome!
Poffeman - First of all the general colour scheme is great, understated and cool. Ice cube works well in front of the skyline and its simplicity works. Text effects are also quite good but the render does let the overall qaulity down a bit.

Although this guy looks like a gangster twat (no offence if thats your taste) this sig really impresses me. I like the render and bg, they go together really well, the text is nice and the sig as a whole fits nicely. Nice work.

I think i'ma stick with this one .. i have to say this has been the hardest SOTW to get a sig together, i wasn't going to enter at all but i decided i'd throw something together just so my entries are consistent week in week out, apart from the first one..

Dr_Tom - I like what you've done to the badges and the bg is really good too, the renders could maybe do with improvement but I really like this one, maybe some slight desaturation for this sig as a whole?
Dr Tom: Definitely one of your best sigs I can recall seeing. Yellow and red shirts give a nice contrast and the colour theme continues in the background. The tops look great and the brushing works nicely. On the negative side the players faces look quite orange, and the badges could be a bit clearer. But don't get me wrong, it's a nice entry! :)
Original: The gif idea works especially with this subject, but I think the "coolness" of the gif shadows the fact that you can actually do a better sig than that. The renders bgs and texts are nice, but to me they look like the stuff you can pull of in few minutes. This doesn't make it a bad sig in anyway, but it just leaves me with a feeling that you could have done more.
Deki: I can see you went for a simple look there, maybe you got a bit lazy? :tongue: Too much text there, otherwise the style works.
Fast Eddie: Great idea and you pulled it of very well. Looks very neat and organised, however you can see it has been worked on a lot. I cannot fault it on anything else than the colours being a bit too contrasted. The text is very smart.

I feel that you might be right, you will notice that this effort will not make it into my portfolio, still I'm relatively happy with the 'animation' considering this is my first attempt.

I also find Toms post helpful, I don't recall saying otherwise. But people like Tutty and others who say Brill Sig when it actually isn't and requires alot of work will make people think there doing good when infact there not, constructive critisim is the key, ass kissing isn't. :)

Looks good at first glance, but honestly needs some things fixed.
It looks too grey, render looks both grey and yellow-ish, not good in my opinion. Get a more natural colour on it, and it will look great. Text doesn't look great in black either, but not a big turn off exactly. Light by the render is really cool and sexy, but the "VS" in between the two players should be moved. Fix those things and the sig will be great!

I dont like the text on yours but the brushing is immense and it really goes together well, as a whole, a very tidy sig. I think it can be improved though.

You definitely do, besides that it's fine but the line is awful looking, maybe just make it transitional. That said even then I think it needs something to give it the 'wow factor'.

OK wellfirst off it is a return from current dark musical sigs which is a good thing. Great colours and nice texting in the little boxes, the far left blocky line seems to be a little bit stand out due its immense brightness compared to the rest of the sig, tone that down and you will have a very quality siggy.

I really like this sig mate you dared to be different and it has paid off. Nice colurs and great shapes around the whole thing. Render seems to be a bit grey and downbeat but the colour kind of drags it out a bit. One bad thing is no Mani haha

Different? Definitely. Great sig? I believe so.
I really like the colours, and the desaturated render gives a nice balance. You could have done a crazier text to go with the colours though.
Singey: I like it but im not too sure about the text Liverpool and everton text or the way youve brushed over the liverpool badge too much and you cant see it properly.

Much better there Deki, that black bg needed something because it didnt look right in your previous version, I also like what you've done to the main image with the feint text with the nicknames etc. I think you could add some feint dotted line either side of the main image in white, with a 1px width, so just a loada' full stops I suppose.

Decent choice of render, and I like the way the shirt is blended in with the brightness. Idea with the shape is inventive, but the text maybe could be improved, although it doesn't particularly look bad. The 'Simone Perrotta' bit looks good, but the text bellow it could maybe be made a bit better. Got a nice balance here, overall good work.

It's nice overall, but I have some things I would like to see get changed.
First of all, the text is a bit boring, new font and more exciting colours would be good. Render is good but needs Sharpness, it looks like a bad quality picture. Cutting is good though. And I like the border, it's something different and cool. Keep it up man!

Good, if sparing, use of colour and the effects you've used on the stock image are very nicely done, subtle but not too subtle. The text is also very nice, and I think it blends nicely into the rest of the signature. Overall it works nice, but if you're going to put in the effort to get a complicated effect to look simple you'll have to realise that a fair number of people may well not realise the work it takes. Version 2 is looking good abaddon. I agree with original? the name text needs to be closer together. I would have possibly blended the faces in with the background more instead of having a straight cut with no effects but as it is the cuts are very sharp so it still works.
Ok, will do. I think I need a better border too, it looks different on PS.
There is effects on the faces. Lighting and an Overlayed layer with smart blur. And I will try blending them and see what it looks like.

It’s looking much better but, I would remove the brushing/effect on his wrist and perhaps apply the dodge and burn tool to certain areas of Adriano, to add depth and to coincide with the light background. The background is pretty much perfect; I don’t think any changes are needed there.

The blending is now superb, I think Tutty was right though, the text doesn't seem to be up to the standard of the rest of the signature. Down the left side it's not great but it's good enough, I don't like 'the Glasgow Derby' text I'm not sure it suits and isn't of the same standard as the rest of the signature... there also appears to be a lack of any form of border.

Deki: V3 for me mate although i'm still not too keen on the style you've have chosen. The test on the left is great but on the right its pretty standerd, nice work overall though.
Cracky: That is a very good sig for the room you have squashed it into, the style is nice with the borderd image and the text is very clear, nice work.
Jamster: Your improving with time. Look carefully for images that don't touch the sides so that you don't get stright edges on them. Spend some time on borders and BG because your renders are ok for the moment.
Tutty: Compared too the wrestling ones before your latest have been rubbish.

Partly because of complaints about the .gif, mainly because I think it was rubbish, it needs work but as I've knocked it up in under an hour including cutting I'm happy, uI'd love to complete it before the deadline but the pub is calling. Comments appreciated.

Press CTRL+A, to select all.
Go to, Edit>Stroke.
Make sure it is on 'inside'.
Then choose your own settings, usaly 2 px in black or white.

@Original? Don't really like the Box around the AC Milan V Inter Milan in the center of the sig. Render work is nice, Brushing is nice for the eyes and the border is sweet. Brilliant work!

Original?: I agree with cali, The Box in the centre don't look right. But it is still a fantastic sig i love the way you have done the render and blended it in with the brush. Works very well. Fantastic :)
Cali: Ilike it alot but im not sure about the blue BG would be better with a darker couler. But i like the brushing behind joe, but what exactly is it under the brushing? The text looks very nice though. Well done very nice sig :)

it's quite nice, winners doesn't need the apostrophe though.. it's very simple and leaves a lot to be desired, the text is plain and dull and the green, white and red boxes appear to be in different sizes which looks out of proportion and less neat.

No I don't think they are different sizes. Tutty duplicated the layer. It might be the border. I'm going to do more to it though.

Singey: Techinically the David Villa sig is very nice, but I just can't get my eye off the colours. Orange and purple don't really suit together in my opinion. The text is okay, but some thing with more style could do the trick.

Unlike -Teekay-, I will fault it technically, the render blending isn't up to scratch. There's a thin, dull grey line around the render, whether it's a blending or cutting issue is difficult to say, however it is rather noticeable on the white of the shirt. Besides that I like the render and the background, I especially like the colours I think they contrast in a good way. The text is good and I like the little boxes, a nice touch, however I'd desaturate the badge a little, and then tone down the birghtness on the David Villa text just a little. All said and done it's a very good signature, with only minor faults in my eyes, certainly one to be proud of.

Fantastic, an expirement mayhaps, but I'd definitely call it a success. I think the main quality that sets it out is that it looks so professional, it really does look like a commercial product design or some such. I prefer version one as it looks cleaner in your approach, the text is wonderfull, it takes up almost the entire canvas but is still understated and sophisticated. The render work looks very good, it actually makes him look as if he's a graphics render on a high powered machine, whether intentional I'm not sure. Whether I love it or hate it (the render effect), I can't decide... the brushing you've used over the sides is wonderful, it really blends in the bright blues with the white of the background. Overall one of the best signatures I've seen for some time.

Thanks for the feedback mate! The computer-like effect actually comes from a distort filter. I'm glad you like the sig, I'm pretty undecided about it myself.
the Del Piero sig is nice, same fresh border style as in the Perrotta one. The colours are a hit or miss. Some people will like them, and some will not. That's just a big matter of taste, again. I like it how the text box comes from the border, but I'm not a huge fan of the fonts there honestly. I think you could also lower the opacity of the stuff inside the border area on the right and on the top. The mosaic effects works with the rest there. The back render is probably my favourite part there, it takes a while to actually notice it's in there.
That seems to be a trendy thing to do nowadays :)

I think if I had to choose possibly version 2 as 1 feels like it's lacking in something. And on version 2 I would have probably brought pharrell forward so that the new thick half border doesn't overlap his face. I would have also made the black border a bit smaller. Other than that the render is sharp and is generally a unique looking sig, good job!
I don't no how to do sig like you or like those one of poffeman. It would be nice if you or someone else could send me a vdeo tutorial so i can learn to do sigs like you. But i have made another one of ASroma's Totti.

A problem has occured while I was doing something on Photoshop.
I was going to do a little brushing but when I clicked on it and started, It turned out black and white. Not too sure what I accidently done but It's making everything black and white, even the picture I copy and paste.
Anyone got tips?

Teekay - Like Original mentioned, this does look like a quality piece of work, proffesional in its own way. I prefer V2 with the border, although i'd make the black border around the edges thinner, but I love the kinda' dodge/exclusion effect on the right hand side with the feint border, the text and brushing works very nicely together and the sig as a whole cant be faulted very much. I would lighten up the render with a little less saturation and a feint white light of some sort, just to try and make it fit in more with the bg which I know is hard as he is darker skinned, but I think with your talented skills you'd be able to sort it out. Great work.
Original - Again I love those borders of yours, this time you've used it in a differnt way which is also nice, the text square thing is a very good idea having it almost blend out of the border, the Juve text I like, but I think the Del Piero one lacks some sort of quality. The render is well blended as always with your sigs. I love the bg with what looks like some kind of dilation of an image, and the squares make it look cool too, I dont like the brushing that goes outside of the border or into it, the top of the render coming out is ok but the brushing kinda' makes it untidy. A very interesting and well worked piece!

I like the white/grey BG. Looks simple but it's hard to do with the same-ish colours. Text is also awesome. And I like the way you used Multiply Blending so it looks animated-ish, I can't really fault it except to say that you need to tone down Pharell. Make him more grey. But not too much.

Poffeman - I like the stripe effect, its different, the text although it seems strange works well and I like it. Im not sure but that render seems strange, it looks like you've stuck a head on a white sillouette(sp?) and seems to spoil it a little, unless thats the render or your fault im not sure. The squarey brushing thing is nice too and the sig as a whole is very good.

Try something different, is it that hard? Make your own sigs, think of differernt ideas/ways to make your sigs different and individual instead of using the same bg with maybe a changed render and text.
