Poffeman Very nice logo, simple yet eyecatching and very easy on the eye. The colour scheme fits the genre of the forum in my opinion, perhaps because i play the XBox 360 alot, i dunno. It also suits your forum itself which is good, nice work.
Poffeman - Simple and effective logo there, the colours are about right and it works very nicely in accordance with the site, and not too much to say about it apart form its decent.
FE - Again this squares theme seems to work nicely, the render imo needs to be lightened up, it seems to dark in relation to the background, the brushing is immense. I would make the Middlesbrough badge bigger so it covers the area behind Viduka to the left hand side and I think the text could do with some improvement too. Nice work.

I'm liking this one. Unlike singey, I think the render effects and lighting suit the sig well. Brushings has been pulled of nicely. Though I think the text lets it down a bit and I don't really like the repeat of his face on the background again. Overall I think is a good sig.

FE...First one has a use of nice colours, really liking th background and the font used suits the peice well. I Think the wings need more work, its hard to say what excatly but looking at them they don't seem right. Never the less its a clean sig could be made really good with the right tweeks.
The boro one, I agree the text needs work maybe a generally bigger style. I don't like the way the 8's continue rolling off his shirt thats a big put off IMO. Plus the his left arm seems very distorted but if you were going for that then fair enough. The background though is nice and the colour scheme is appropriate and nicely executed..
Poff : Nice banner simple and effective, the text is very easy to read and the colours suit your forum nicely
Deki : I like it, its pretty simple . the lighting effects are very nice, but i'm really not feeling the effects on the players they look a little pixelated

Deki - A nice piece of work there, the text is nice and the black bg I am a big fan of it hence my last sig, it looks really classy. The way you've added osme light brushing or smudging or whatever it iis to the render is really cool and look good. Only thing I would say is to maybe add a Clyde badge somewhere on that left hand side, it seems a little empty.
wrigh2uk - Simple and effective, the render is good and the text seems to suit the sig well, I dont like the black lines in the bg it spoils it a little and looks untidy, not too much to say about it but its fairly decent and simple.

FE The render really stands out, it's crystal clear. I would have left out the Miami Heat logo from the corner or maybe lowered its opacity even more. All in all though I think it's great.
Poffeman your forum banner is looking good. Simple yet effective and it matches the whole feel of the forum. I would have tried to make the main words stand out slightly more from the green background as it almost blends in a little.
Chelsea11 that's not bad, but I really would have changed the harry potter esque font for something that matches the futuristic vibe of the background. Also the blur on Andriy looks good but I would have duplicated it before hand and added a blur effect to the bottom layer to get a sharper render. Bg is really good.
I've made a few modifications to this lennon sig after reading a few comments about it's blandness, I agree it was a bit dull. c + c on this version would be ace.

Original - Its a nice attempt, having seen your earlier sig I think this one works better esp. with the logo and slogan, and the nice feint bg works very well, simple but very effective, a contender, should you choose to use it.
Cali - For a start some more in depth comments would be nice. I've come up with a theory not to comment on others who imo dont deserve it for their contribution. The sig is very nice, the background is decent and its simple but the text is what lets it down as a whole. The border is nicee too but keep it up cause you're on the up.

revert: all i can say is change the bg, th render is great but the bg isn't very easy on the eyes.
cali: the blending, brushing, render and bg are all great but imo its too blue.the text isnt very noticable either

Cali: It's very nice and the BG and render go very well together, very nice blending. The brushing is also nice. But IMO the text just looks stupid, with descent text it will be a fantastic sig. And also the border, I don't like it it's way too big. But in all great signature. Just change the text and maybe the border.

cali i like the sig matey i love the background and the render but i do not like the text i think it looks out of place maybe change that. i do not agree with tutty i like the border. well it is all blended nice keep it up you are getting better all the time. nice one.

Don't particulary like the background, way to red. Try to desaturate it a tad. The renders are decent. For me the text should be changed to, but it ain't bad. Overall its not a bad sig though, well done:)

The background brushing is rather nice, the shadow renders are very nice, I think it works fantastically with the Samsung logo. The only part lacking is the 'main render' I feel at the moment it's half-way between a render and part of the background. I'd advise making it more prominent and then changing the perspective of the TV so that it looks like it's on an angle to the signature, with the left side being nearest the front of the signature. I hope that makes sense, and is helpful.

Yeah, it's great just like the other. But i think this one is a tad better. The 'Change your veiw' slogan goes nicely wit the signature.
So V2 for SOTW 9 in my opinion.

Anything in the that is in the background now was there before, all I did to it was raise the contrast in order to make it look a little less plain.

Well I don't think you're the worst offender here, but just try to elaborate on why you think things work and why they don't. It's nice to know what works, but try to explain why things do and don't, then if you don't think they do try and suggest a way to rectify any problems.

Out of those two I prefer the second version.
The BG is probabyl the best bit of the sig, but I feel as though a bit more brushing would make it look a whole lot beter. The text is poor I'm afraid, if I were you I'd go back and flick through the texts until one fits, cos that one doesnt. Also Ronaldo looks a tad stretched to me. I gather you're still quite new to PS so it's a good effort with that in mind, and no doubt you'll improve :)

I wasnt meaning to be harsh at you Cali I just thought like Original said you could elaborate on the comments you make, something that helps people, it does'nt have to be 4 or 5 lines just something whether it be short or long that takes a look into the technical side of things instaed of just touching on the surface about what could be done. ;)

Not a fan if I'm being honest. text needs work, I also don't like the BG image you have used. Nike logo needs to be re-moved to a better position. Like the sort of steam coming off him from the brushing effect, maybe could have been pulled off a wee bit better.
Overall I say it needs some tweaking, but its not too bad.

The background is pretty much fine, the render needs a little work and might look better a little larger. It currently looks a little lost in the background, making it larger and more defined would be advisable, also reduce the opacity on the two shadow renders. The text is different and quite nice, but it doesn't look part of the signature. The main problem seems to be too much background, the left hand side looks rather empty, therefore if you enlarge the render, it wouldn't hurt the text either, and move them both toward the left hand side of the signature slighty. A good signature thoguh and you seem to be improving.

That's more a normal signature with Nike written on it, the brand is meant to be the focus.

As Poffeman says the lines over the circle could do with being reduced, the shadowed render behind the phone looks great, but I'd like to see it increased a little in opacity, then put a gradient overlay on it so it fades into the whit background. I think this SOTW has really valued the less is more style, and I think you've pulled it off very nicely, as you say a couple of tweaks and you're there.

Excellent! So true, it's difficult to say quite how strongly I agree with the sentiment in this signature. Graphically there's nothing in it, although the animation on the text is very neatly done, if it's going to be your entry to SOTW though you need to give it something to be challenging Singey and Deki's entries for my vote.

I do believe that I did mine first... if that's what people had in mind anyway then it's hardly a lack of imagination, if I had to make a comment on the majority of entries so far, it would be that they, for the most part, look rather professional.

I don't see much difference between V1 and 2 .. but generally speaking, it's far too dull. It just doesn't grab my attention. I do like the way the buildings are blended, very well done, the text is nice aswell, the lens flair or whatever it is creates a nice effect. The cut, i'm not too fond of, he looks retarded for a start. I do like the parts that seem to 'break away' from his arms though. It's certainly a style worth developing though.
@Fast Eddie Nice signature. Its nice and simple. I don't think that the boxes on Bam look right though. Good border and appropiete text. Well done.
@Poffeman In version 1 I love the idea of the city behind Dos Santos. It works really well. Pretty decent text, although that need some work. I also agree with FE, that it is too dull. Add some colour balances and play around with the brightness/contrast. Once that's sorted it will look a lot better IMO (Even though the sig is also good). Generally speaking, the text isn't all that bad now Ive taken a second look at it.

@Fast Eddie: I like the sig; I think the background is perfect. Not too sure about Bam’s face though, it looks a bit too grainy in comparison with the background. Have you tried duplicating Bam’s face layer applying a Gaussian blur (4.0/4.5) switching the layer to overlay, going back to the previous layer (un-blurred face) sharpening it and then going to edit, fade sharpen (75%)? Just a suggestion.
Also, I think the bam and element text colour is a little too dark.
@Poffeman: I like the second one much better; the glare/bloom effect seems to come out more in that version and adds more depth colour wise. My only suggestion would be that certain areas need to be sharpened up a little, around the badge and face, but that’s my opinion.
@Cali: Nice sig, I like the colour theme and overall look of the image. I think the Juventus text could do with moving to the upper left though, as it’s mostly white background and it would stand out a lot more.

Cali - Nice sig. I must say that over the last couple of weeks you have certainly improved. However on this sig i feel that thee is too much brushing and it becomes quite overpowering. Theres nothing wrong with the render IMO but the text could be improved a bit. Still better than i can come pu with though so well done.
Talyn - Have to say that i havent really seen your work but this sig is quite impressive. I like the way you've given Cisse a motion blur to blend him in and the green sparkles fit in perfectly. I cant really fault it to be honest. Definately a contender for this weeks SOTW.

Poffeman: Great Dos Santos sig, I realli like both versions. V1 is my favourite one, it just needs some more edge to it. Maybe some colouring would set it off nicely. If you could send me the psd I'd like to try out some stuff with it!
Cali: The sig has a nice idea there, but the render is a bit overworked. Also the bg looks very busy. With the team shirt colours the bg looks a little crazy.
Talyn: Lovely signature, but the render is old as hell :tongue: Nice effects on the render, and everything works well together. A very clean cut and smart signature overall.
Original: Great idea, you don't see sigs about classical music too often. The sig has been made nicely there, but I think the choices of pictures could have been better, now it's a little hard to see the difference between the seasons with a quick look. The main text looks nice with the drop shadow.

V1 is a lot better, it's a lot more vibrant with all the colours. V2 looks quite dull.
FE - Version 1 is much better, 2 is nice imo but isnt as good as the first. The vibrant colours make this sig what it is and the brushing is fairly decent too, not too much to say about this one but I do like it and is a contender for sotw.

Nice sig mate the brushing and text are spot on but my only gripe is the pictures of the seasons look fairly similar. Perhaps if you used more stereotypical weathered season pics then the four seasons would be more noticeable. Great sig overall and has a classy feel to it.

Teekay - I would comment but firefox is being gay to imageshack. I know its probably world class though. ;)
barryvs - Its a simple but nicely laid out sig. The weaving of the images make for good effect and the background is nice too. The only thing I would say is maybe make the background more in tune with the silvery car and just to make it neater make sure the weaving pattern reaches the edges (the middle one doesnt quite reach the bottom if you know what I mean). Its not that noticable but I guess only catches the eye of proffesionals :tongue:

V1 I think is the best because it adds something to the sig I cant explain, it just looks far better and although you cant see the basketball, you can still make out what the sig is about, its very nicely done. There really isnt much that needs to be done on V1 imo, maybe the nike logo and text in the corner can be dimmed down a little like in V2 cause it kinda spoils it a tad, not sure why. Very good effort.

Greenegg - looking good mate, Version 1 or the brazil side for me personally, with v.1 just tipping it, the tick is a tad pixelated but nothing major to worry about. The text on the others doesn't really match the nike brand.
Teekay - That quicksilver sig is awesome, great render too.
Danvid - Not bad mate, but could do with being a little less pixelated, also that adobe wording at the top doesn't really look right, I think the bottom ones work ok.
Hitman - A simple yet effective sig, nice render too so not really too much critical to say about this sig. Maybe a little too much grain effect, only a little mind.:tongue:

Personally I’m not too sure about the items being blurred so much without a “solid” rendition above them. I’m also having difficulty making out the top logos straightaway, I can make out PSP but that’s about it (maybe I need to check into specsavers!) At the moment I’d say version one is better but if you were to make the items clearer and sharper I would definitely say version two with the colours is superior.

It’s bold and stands out a mile, which is what marketing directors want. My only niggle with the overall look is the tick, but I can’t see any way of incorporating it without causing major ballache.
(Also, png files don’t show up properly in IE but I’m assuming everyone is using FireFox)

Thank you wrigh2uk and singey. I understand your points, I've been tweaking it for hours to get it all right and deleted some layers in the process. I tried to do the background with the same color style, but it's difficult to get it working right.

It's a nice sig poffeman the text woirks very well with the sig. But it's similar to Teekay's Lakai one. Nice though. But im not sure about the brushing in the top left hand corner.

tutty - V1 is definately the better of the two versions. Its clean, crisp and professional lookin IMO. Maybe you could add a border to V1? Just a thought.
Danvid - The sig itself isnt a bad one but i think that the texture thats over the whole sig is a bit strong and i dont think it really goes with the sig. The sig is quite basic but that makes the sig feel fresh. To be fair you have had a break from sig making so i would expect out of this world sigs straight away. Still nice effort.

Poffeman (Skating): I realy like this, everything fits very well, but what is the blurred bit in the middle, looks strange. Text looks good although I agree, it is Skate Boarding. Nice work overall, you don't realy need any tips as you seem to no it all from what i've seen.
Danvid: It's a good effort ad nice practice for getting back into PS but the render looks awful, I don't recomend filters on renders...ever!
Shopper: Version 2 is better as the render stands out more and goes with the BG whereas the blue shirt on the V1 don't. Think you should add a border and work on the BG as the render is realy good but is let down by the brushing.
Poffeman (Ronaldo): It's original and creative but very bland. I think if you made the colours more saturated and the shirt too on the left it would make it stand out compared to the black bit on the right. Nice text, very simply and attractive.
Any comments on my SOTW entery would be nice, looking too change it before friday.

Thanks, good comment, I agree about the blue side, most of it is coverd my the image so if I just move it it will cover more of the black. I will try some borders, a 1px white one should do, just to brake the edge.

V! is the better one and it is a great signature mate. Often cartoon sigs don't work but this one has gone against that trend. Fantastic stuff

Cracky - A nice and simple Homer sig there, the background is nicely done and I love the quote too! The text is fairly decent although I think the quote text should be a little less transparent. Nice render choice too.
Original -Another good sig from you I like the darkness of the sig cause it suits the subject. Its very simple so there is not much to say but I would get rid of the barcode thing above the text.

V2 Abaddon, the grunge style brushing works better on both sides imo, but having not commented earlier, may I just say this is a very nice sig, very well put together and really works well especially the colours. It also looks much more neater with a border as in V2, great work on those white borders on the 2 main images, really classy and neat. honestly, not a bad word to say about it.

Abbadon: Fantastic, the text works very well and so does that picture sorta' effect. I preffer V2 the brushing V1 is fantastic but it looks a bit odd. Now youve made both sides look equal. But i think the sig would also look good if you try the same thing with V1 but put the flower brush on both sides. Give it a go and post it up, would be interesting to see the difference. IMO i think it would porbally look better ;)

That's spot on mate, the pink and blue brushing match each other perfectly now. The colours are as vibrant as ever and the border finishes it nicely. This is one awesome sig.

Now this is something I really feel like commenting on, it's overall good looking, but has some stuff I'd like to see taken away. The spatter, it's good but has to be removed from all the faces. Text, font is bad, change it.

Wow that is a great collab. i love the BG. The effects around zambrotta works well with the BG, but maybe a lil' bit too much. The box on the sig is also very affective. And as for the text i think it was a great choice of text goes nicely with the overall sig. Fantastic.

Like most people have said before the effect on Zambrotta seems a bit too much for me. I like the background and how you've blended the two of them together. Certainly a cracking piece of work and if the render was improved it woould be awesome.

@greenegg & Original? Thats a great collab. Really like the border around Zambrotta, although it could be toned down a little bit....The churchyard ( ? ) Works well for the BG because it is just blended in well. A tad bit too much effects on Zambrotta, but only a tad bit too much. Text looks good although I don't like the FC Barcelona & Italy text as it looks a bit to plain. As I already said, great collab, well done.
@Shopper Thats an improvement from V1 and V2. Love the BG, it works really well. I really like the right hand side of the sig because of the work on the render and the BG, but I do not like the left hand side because it's a bit dull ( The grey colours behind the render ), Just try to change that and It will be a fantastic sig, well done!

Cali: Too much colour there. And don't use solid colours to such a big extent as in this sig, it's spoils the rest. Definitely not one of your better sigs.
Yeah think you let yourself down a bit with that sig, I know you can do alot better. The blending is non-exsistent, and the colors are as Teekay said solid, which just dont look good.

Wow that is a great collab. i love the BG. The effects around zambrotta works well with the BG, but maybe a lil' bit too much. The box on the sig is also very affective. And as for the text i think it was a great choice of text goes nicely with the overall sig. Fantastic.
It's good and all that, but I feel that you Original? need to vary your style more, most of your sigs has the same feel, brushing, border-ish and text.
They're good, but I'd like to see something completely new from you.

Yes the original is better. I don't really see too much what you did other than brighten it all up and change the font for the slogan.

That final Pharrel version is unbelivable! The render was always class, but now you've perfected the BG. A brilliant use of color in the centre really puts teh final touches on a fantastic sig.

I love it. Completely different from any sig I have ever seen. Despite being a collection of random shit, it all blends together perfectly. 10/10.

Not sure how long you've been using PS but they are pretty good quality considering how many sigs I've seen from you before.
BGs nice - leaning towards V1 on that. Only problem with the sig is that the faded Henry on the right looks stretched. Other than that great effort.

Nice and different but to gripes, firstly the double Henry isnt subtle enough and secondly the text all over the place just seems a tad too randoom for me. Like the Thierry and Henry parts are nowhere near
Schaap V3 of Henry is the better sig because it isnt to dark and isnt to bright. Just about right

BGs ok, render doesnt look that great, seems to have some kind of effect on it which dont look too good. The brushing I do not like I'm afraid. Text doesnt really fit either. It's a solid, but not great sig. Considering you'er still using PSP though, its fairly decent.

Bit too bright IMO. Make it a bit darker and maybe bring the render forward a bit.... Looking good, otherwise.

Teekay - Nice work there, the bg is excellent but I think the render needs some inprovement, its well blended, but a little too much for my liking. Text needs to stand out a little more too. But nice effort.
cracky - Not your best, the bg seems to be all over the place and the multiple render thing or whatever it is, is not a good idea, if you were to do it again, make the 3 renders closer together, with the main one visible and the other two very feint, perhaps desaturated. Also make sure that white light round Villa reaches the bottom, if you look it just stops altogether in a fine line and it looks untidy. Render cutting is not that good.
Cali & Original: Very nice, the BG is fantastic. The text also is very nice , works very well with the sig. The render is well done, but you could do a bit more to it.

Good work tutty, is it just me or is the render stretched? Also I think the render could be blended slightly better, but otherwise its a good sig.
Cracky: i disagree with singey, that is one hell of a sig! Nice blending and I love the colours. Also the render is very nice and the text is perfect. I can't fault it.

Cracky: I'm not sure with this one. I like the main render because it fits in withthe middle of the background. But i dont like the background as a whole. It just doesnt seem to fit together. You definately need to move the renders closer together. The text is quite nice but a bit randomly placed. Still its original far from a bad piece of work.
Tutty: Certainly an improvement from you. The background is decent but i don't like the text (just my preference). The render seems stretched too which kinda ruins it a bit. Still an improvement none the less so well done.

Shopper - Im not a fan, the render needs blending, bg needs some work, and the text is not suitable, the dot thing is not very artistic either. Also those colours behind and in front of the render dont go together well and I think the sig as a whole does not fit together. You can do better imo.

That's looking good so far FE, I like the render and the light glare on geezers face. The background and border are good too, they are quite dark to match the facial expression but they might benefit from a touch more colour somewhere. Where that is and what colours to use tho would be a tough one. So far so good.

Cheers. I can see what you mean, but I've tried everything up to brushing, vectors, effects and other images but I can't get it to work so it's basically some nifty photo editing/manipulation. I tried to keep an old-effect going, but with some stand-out colors.

Dr Tom - Love the Schumacher text and the bg is good too but the brushing behind the render is poor and the render quality looks poor too, also I think the render is slightly transparent as theres a big blacky blob on his face which might be the F1 car im not sure. Kepp it up, its decent.
Poffeman - Its a good idea for layout, the lighting effects are very good and I like the idea of the text too, simple yet complex. I feel the light seperating the two images is too intense, other than that its a very nice sig.

Sorry mate it just looks too messy, the background needs a lot of tidying, try not to fill it with over the top brushes else it takes too much attention from the render. The render is ok, relatively well blended and a good shot, but whether it's the quality of the picture or the effects you've put on the render it's looks terribly pixelated. The text is alright but nothing too special, not one of your better efforts even if it's the best subject there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be...

Cracky - The bg is overworked imo. Makes it look too messy. But there's some good ideas there.
Leeds - Nice and clean. Nothing else to say about it really. Get PS mate :)
Singey - Left side is too empty, but you have some nice ideas on the right. You just need to out some finishing touches to it.
Barry - Cool colours with Fangio there. I like the choice of picture too, but the sig is just too simple to be in my top3.
Dr Tom - The sig is better without the right side's picture. The text is very nice.
Thierry - Probably a little too much blur there. Quite a simple sig there...
Wrigh - Looks too busy now, but the layout could work with some careful planning.

This is probably going to divide people. I'm either the Picasso of signature making or just nuts.
I went quite far with the idea I got, it's not too cleanest sig you have seen. Take a minute to look at it please, don't judge too fast.

Thanks for the comment Teek. I myself am divided about your sig, the idea of the render being seperate like my sig is interesting and the brushing on the right hand side is really classy however that rectangle poking out inot the brushing looks tacky and looks 'slapped on top'. When viewing it normally it seems kinda simple but the highlight is that bg, some of it does look messy and untidy and that rectangle sticking out has to go. But somehow it does appeal. Nice work, interesting to say the least.

C + C appreciated, did this with help from a cracking tutorial over at soccer art. And yes, I know it needs a border.
I prefer V2 revert, but I think the render is poor quality and there is a dull grey lining round the render, I used to have the same problem unless thats an effect, if it is then it needs to be gone. The bg however is nice and simple and the text works well with the differing sizes. Nice job.

Looks like Hurricane? But I'm not sure. Nice sig too, looks messy but still has a great effect, the left side and the right side don't match at all but look so great. If you made a sig with all of either side I think it would be amazing. I particulary like the right side, the curl is very attractive. The center totaly lets it down, no colour and no attention brought, very plain.
