Its a bit plain, you need to add some sort of background to it. ;)

You really need to work on your backgrounds and picking colours that look good together. :)

@ sdav89, its a nice sig, but it seems a little colourless, I advise you use more shades of blue and yellow in the case of your Swedish sig, and you need to make the background a little more exciting eg. gradients and effects.

Taking into account the colour clashes in my last sig, I made this Gerrard/England sig. Comments appreciated....

Looks pretty cool
the background looks good
just think the pic doesn't quite suit the thing overall.

Agree with the using of brushes,ive just downloaded a HUGE pack with tonnes of them :happy:

i chose my background colour black red and gold/yellow ... because its the german flag colours..... so that goes well with the whole german theme... but the pictures, well i couldnt find any good ones...

Use the eraser to cut your images, it makes for a much smoother finish and can look superb if you take your time on it. Other than that its a nice piece of work.

Good render choice, colours look good. I like the swoosh sort of thing bellow the text on the right. Brushing works well but still lacks a little something and looks a bit plain.

Kirby to add brushes you need to find your "preset manager" which is in one of the tabs on the Photoshop program itself.

Yes, by your standards it is quite poor. I like the sort of exploded background though. Its still a good sig, but no where near your best. I hope to see some more of your work soon, always great to see. :)

The different texts for 'Henry' doesnt work well, change that. Add some brushing or something, looks a bit boring so liven it up.

That looks great. :) All it needs is a border and some text and it will look classy. Not sure if I could finish it off well, maybe some else could have a go. Its a pity you don't post up work as often as you used to cause your skills in PS are now of a very good standard. I love the brushing in the Rooney sig fits in perfect. Colours and BG go perfect with the render. Good work. :D

Colour choice isn't what you would expect for this sig, yet it seems to still look quite good. I don't think the actual quality of the sig (not your skills) is that great, although I believe that will be due to PSP. Yes once you move onto PS you should see a big change, though you will have to get used to it at first, anyway keep it up mate. :)

Original?: As you said its something different. I think it looks reasonably good, a nice change from all the render of a football etc. that you get on here most times. The text incorperated into the grave stone looks very good, and the lighting effects work well considering the subject of the sig. I like it though.

ashcfc: Looks much, much better.

ozzie66: Not bad considering you are just a new comer to PS. 2nd one gave me a bit of a quick laugh. With the nike tick, if it originated as just two different colours (e.g. Nike tick was balck and the background was white) then you could maybe try the magic wand tool if you aren't too good with the eraser yet. If its just two contarsting colours it should cut it out to a reasonable standard.

Nice colours. However that text does seem a bit out of the blue with the white box, maybe if it was a little more opaque it would look better.

Deki, that's amazing. Really is, but you should use another font, it should be a default but more erm, straight.. (?) The font you're using has to many erm, curves.. I don't really know how to explain but I hope you understand.

i have been working to get better at this. i believe this to be my 3rd/4th day at this. this is probably the best i have done along with the streetfighter one. i believe because ronaldinho is a colourful character, i went for brighter colours. wht do u think. anymore advice will be gladly taken :D

Thanks, im guessing GIF is the worst possible format to save as. Hence, my sigs, the only reason I used that one is because the file size was reduced.

Its ok, I think what spoils it is that there is too many images floating about in the background, 1 or 2 would make it look decent, having more kinda overloads it a little. Nice work though, keep it up.

Its ok, I think what spoils it is that there is too many images floating about in the background, 1 or 2 would make it look decent, having more kinda overloads it a little. Nice work though, keep it up.

Seen some of your stuff on SA, makes a change, just like Deki said, to not see any cutting or nothing. Its a great sig but I dont like the whole text thing, 'what was wrong with his trainer' etc. It should be name, country if needed and maybe 'wonderkid', but other things than that and it just seems a little overloaded. If its your style then I have no problem with it, its just that I wouldnt do that kind of stuff. Great sig though.

I like it, but it could have looked much better. The motion blur moved to the side of Ronaldo spoils it a bit I think. The tow bits of text don't fit well together either. Apart from that the colours are perfect and some nice brushing for the BG.

Not bad. Colours are nice. Brushing is good, maybe if it didn't go over the render in this particular sig. The cut looks good. Simple text, good, there is no need for big fancy text alot of the time. Good enough isg.

Actually not bad for one of your first. Background looks good, and fits in with the picture. Cutting is what you would expect when you begin, you will get better with the more you do.

The concept is quite good actually. Maybe if you made the 'World Cup Winners' text less visible, as it draws you attention away from the sig abit. I am also unsure of the border, its nice and original, but again I tihnk its a wee bit bold, maybe try setting it to overlay or lower the visiblity. In general the sig quality is quite good, just a few minor things.

Zidane's face - henry's name, kinda screws it up and the border I don't like either. Good blending and the Francais text is good but there's an accent under the "c" isn't there? :p

Greenegg thats nice, have you added a filter to the render...well whatever you've done I don't think it looks good, try too keep the render as high quality as possible. Goes well with the background and font :)

Both of you have rather plain backgrounds, try using a few different brushes and colours, or try merging another image into the background to liven it up. Fill effects can improve a background as well, making it seem... well more full! The text also needs to be blended in a little but considering how long you've both been using photoshop neither are bad efforts, well done both of you and keep toying with things and you'll get better quickly.

In the layers tab click and hold on the render layer and move it towards the top of the layer tab, placing it above the BG layer.

Created something, been working on it the past couple of days. A home page for a football website. 'Swanny' adjusted the final piece a little by adding the "Register for free" parts and also the "Free live TV..etc.". I'm fairly pleased overall, especially for my 1st big piece.

Unusual from you, but looks good. Lighting effect especially along with teh colours it produces. The text is quite inventive, but mayeb it is a bit let down. I like the font you have used for 'Grosso' and how it goes donwards, but the 'world cup 2006' text doesn't fit in with ot somehow for me. Although these are just my views, its a nice sig from you. Good performance, just like Italy. ;)

Cannavaro wins the World Cup on his 100th cap, thought it deserved a sig.

@Original?, like it alot, the lens flare is a bit bright...takes the attention away from the sig. The text goes well with the BG and I like the blending and cutting alot. The Cannavaro one is also good, better than the Grosso one but i'm not keen on using the same picture twice. Like the slanted text. Colours are good too, nicley blended.

@greenegg, Your getting there mate, just look for some nice fonts and brushes now and you'll be a pro. The cutting looks great but he looks a bit squashed.
