Problems with headers

i cant score with my head, well barely.(WE 7)
first of all, all my cross cant seem to find my targertman's head.
and when it does, its always too far away from the goal thus no power in the header. and at times i head way wide of the goal?
i suspect my crossing and heading is shit consider i tried klose,crespo,shearer etc..
any tips guys?
i am kinda ashamed asking this kinda of question but i am a newbie so pardon me.

WE 7. pes3 i find it kinda simple to head so i play WE 7.(not boasting)

anyway try to cross before passing the 18 yard area. (L1 +doudle click O). in WE7 headers ARE difficult for almost everyone

woah. that is strange because up till now.. i have always gone to the barline and whipped in crosses thinking that would help me!
so its L1 + double OO ? can this be done? i thought auto cross can only be done at the 18yard area?

I always considered it easier to get to the by-line and cross as it means more of your attackers can get into the box for the cross plus you have more control over where you want the cross to go. You could also go for a deep cross and let your striker at the back post head pass it back into the area for a simple finish.

this is a way to do it too familymahone. the only problem is that more defenders come in when you do this. the pass option seems to be working fine for me too. I should have mention this earlier. and it;s better to do this when you have 3 cf's

Also means you can get more attackers into the box and have more control to put the ball exactly where you want it. I suppose it depends on how many players are in the box at that time, the early cross works well if your attacker is in space in the box but unless it's big Koller he probably won't beat 2 or 3 defenders in there with him.

I would say that many players can take headers from 2 or 3 defenders. batistuta , crespo and many more who have a good jump , good heading acc and positioning

Yeah gotta love those guys. I would normally only play against human opposition which I find is completely different from the cpu so the crosses are a lot more difficult to pull off so variety is indespensible. The cpu after a while is very predictable so more often than not it gets quite easy to score by doing the same thing, try doing the same thing against a person and you'll soon find the chance will dry up in no time.

only at times crespo etc.. all can take 2 or 3 players. in fact quite rare. why is that so? my heading technique sucks? beside positioning, heading acc, jump, is height important?

Stands to reason the bigger the guy the easier it is to win the headers. Koller is excellent beacuse that extra height advantage means you will more often than not win the aerial battles and if you can get someone like Beckham swinging in the crosses you should be scoring in no time.

koller does not have only height. he has more skills. he is the best tall guy in the game. morales works for me fine too

You know I've taken a real liking to Diego Tristan from Deportivo in the new game, he is quite impressive in the air from what I've seen (only played a few games with him so far). Take a look at him when you get a chance.

yah he is good, makes me wonder how come he is not in the starting line-up, and also why depor wont play 2 strikers?
