Introducing Triple Triad [Archive]

I have just completed installing a Triple Triad feature for the site. It can be accessed at http://www.pesinsight.com/triad_main.php and via the 'Link Jump' menu. If it is popular I will create a more suitable location for the menu.

Players of Final Fantasy VIII will already be familiar with the game, but for new players check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_Triad

All players start out with 1000 Gil, and card packs will set you back 500.

It may contain bugs. There is one which I know of when browsing for a match. Myself and Zero successfully played a game, and I also played against the bot, so I know it does work :)

Yes it seems it's only letting us admins use it. Not sure why yet.

I used to play at www.tripletriadx.com which no longer exists. Nice move Hitman ;)

EDIT: Do NOT play AI games. I won 2 and drew 4, gaining 18 Gil to take me to 518 until I then lost and now can't challenge the AI again because I have about 18 Gil left. Rough justice :(

How did Alvin get Sephie and Doomtrain?

One thing I noticed is that there's a purchase menu, but there's only the option 'Buy standard pack', can you buy individual cards?

Poffeman, explain something to me.

We all started with 1,000 points, enough for two card packs - 20 cards? You then get five points per post you make. 500 points per card pack. You've not played many games, and in a week you've shot to 200+ cards. How?

You've also not been posting much, so it can't be that ;)
