I was so angry when I found that Beattie was in neither England or the hidden characters. Damn, now I have to have Jeffers in England instead of Beattie. I hate creating players because you dont know the real attributes. Hope they include Beattie or Southhampton in the next version.

He's not in the game but can be easily created or someone else edited to become him. Check the Player Creation section.

He's not in WE7 or PES3 as default. You have to create him.

go to the "russian rentboys" thread in general discussion. theres a link to a CM4->PES3/WE7 database. go to southampton click james beattie then click go!

If you have a look in Tony Butlers back pocket Beattie could still be in there after the Bristol City V Southampton game!!!

Beattie is a better all round, and much more consistant player than Rooney.

warrs u r having a laugh, i watched the highlights of that game and it looked to me like he pissed all over ur defence. i mean look at his goal, that was simple ur defence did not have a clue.

He's good but I don't think he's England class but then again if Heskey can get into the squad... He could be the new Heskey though if he makes a big-money move to an fallen-giant and forgets how to score and play properly, then he may get a chance.

BRFCHANHAM...Have a word with yourself son you are obviously a bitter gashead if you watched the whole game live like I did you would have seen that a 3-0 scoreline totally flattered Southampton..Beattie was kept quiet throughout most of the game..He did score but should never be in the England squad there are far more talented strikers around such as..
1.Owen
2.Rooney
3.Heskey(not an out and out striker but scares defences)
4.Smith
5.Defoe
6.Lee Matthews

Ok maybe not the last one..but I think Beattie is overrated..

I think Beatie is under rated being honest. If he is thrown 2 or 3 games in a row into a england game i am sure he'd score at least once. Hes only been in team a few times so his confidence is not as high as expected.

look at what happened to ricketts when he got his chance, same with phillips. the only way the big lad can get into the squad is if he keeps scoring goals (penalties not included but freekicks ok). time will tell.

Och to be sure, to be sure, tap af tha mairnin to ya! Seroiusly though Shay Givin is a bloody good keeper too so I would say Ireland have 3 top players and erm, Kevin Kilbland.

Not sure excatly but he hasnt even reached 25 premiershipo goals in over 3 seasons. If hes england standard then we better give up on Euro 2004 now.

being a Southampton fan i guess my opinions are gonna be biased,but here's an example for you...
the Denmark game - Beattie had scored more than the other 3 strikers put together...
also i agree with the person who said he needs a consistent run in the England team,
i also agree with the person who said the 3-0 scoreline was flattering,but the simple fact is we took our chances...end of story.

I am a massive Liverpool fan and have to agree that Beattie is a class act. He plays for a very average team and over the last 2 or 3 seasons has been near the top of the scorers chart/table/list.

To play Heskey ahead of him for Engalnd is a disgrace. Heskey adds nothing to the Engalnd team. To say defences are scared of him is a joke. They must love it when he plays, they know he is never going to score, use any skill, stand up for more than 5 minutes so only have to concentrate on Owen.

Surely England will be a better team, and Liverpool for that matter, when they finally play with 2 out and out goal scorers such as Rooney or Beattie.
