When playing football, how do you celebrate a goal (that you scored)?
Mine is the Ronaldo finger shake, then I do a little jump and punch the air at the same time. I've been doing this long before Ronaldo used to do the finger shake.

I usually play defence, so scoring goals only occurs every now and then.
Usually it's the turn around with back to goal, look at fellow players, arrogant nodding of the head, with an henry like look on the face, and then the raising of the finger.
I have got many celebrations-:
I do the laffy taffy. I do the Dj one Heskey used to do. The golf one where you go to the corner flag and pretend to put the ball in..
Or i dont do a celebration and casually jog back to my position (makes me look even cool)

I usually end up grabbing the ball out of the net, and sprinting back to the centre spot as quick as possible.
For 11-a-side: rolly polly with a Klinsmann.
For 5-a-side: a simple strut or jog away. if it's a hum-dinga I'll usually shout "HOOOOOOOOO" in a Thundercats kinda way.

No offence to your or anything, but when the opposition scores against us in Sunday league and do that kind of shit everyone just thinks: "what a dickhead".

"Shit" :no:
You should see what the other teams do as a celebration...
We all see sunday league as a laugh group of mates playing footy, our image means nothing.
Mine is a trademark 'Guy Powell 10' one or 'P10' as i'm known by Nike...
This is only in the highly competitive 5-aside games where everyone has a celebration. I do the gun salute thing at the end of Robbie Keane's celebration and then fling my arms out wide (like the famous Beckham ones).

Sounds like you're usually losing when you score. :D
I celebrate spontaneously, depending on how and from where i score. None of that gay, rehearsed, trademark shit.
I usually score on the run, either from a one-two play, a fast counter attack incursion or even a corner kick, so i just keep running with a raised fist. I woohooo a little if it was a specially good goal or a last minute equalizer or winner.
If i take a long shot on goal, or even a volley, and it goes in, i just stand there and pull a Hulk Hogan or Ultimate Warrior pose. Now that looks really cool and manly.
I usually do 5 backflips followed by a double salto with twist ofcourse...
Nah... I very sometimes used the airplane (both arms spread wide), but I usually just smiled and pointed to the guy who gave me the pass and just get hugged by my teammates.
...and when I play on the streets I dont celebrate, just get back to my own goal ASAP and get everyone ready again. Except for very special goals, obviously where I'd probably get a tiny lil bit more excited.
But usually I just get back to business...
Definitely Maybe

I rarely score because I am a wing back. So I assist much more, if it ends in a goal I celebrate with the goal scorer. If I score, and I have twice in my enitre playing time. It was like a Shevchenko style shooting my right arm to the crowd. (Just watch him celebrate, you'll see what I mean), I don't usually run a long way or stuff like that as celebrations, the humidity here is suicide!

I don't really play much football except when I play with my friends during lunchtime, but when I score I don't celebrate.
Original?

Generally just jog back casually, or if I'm feeling extremely cocky I'll do the cup my hand round my ear toward the defender I'm winding up at that point in time, Baggio-esque. Then of course the finger to the lips.

I just cover my mouth with my hand ala Bergkamp if the ref has annoyed me or warned me to shut up but if not i pretend the corner flag is a sniper rifle and gun down my team mates who come to celebrate, thinking about this if an opposition player did it I'd think what a todger so I guess there for I am a todger
I dont really celebrate, I just get on with it. If ive been set up then I would go to the person who assisted me and congratulate them. If I do it all myself I just give myself a pat on the back :)

you would you pompous ass...;)
when i scored in high school i would go pose in front of the crowd with my chin up in the air and my hands on my waist
now we don't play in front of big crowds so i celebrate with my teammates, if you do anything crazy you'll prolly get beat up in our league, bunch of thugs.

The league I play in is mostly hoods, its rare to see sportmanship in our league. Celebrating isnt much seen like but its good to get that equalizing goal, which can be worth a good shout, maybe with a dig at the other team. Ive always wanted to do the Gudjohnsen celebration, that ones quality. But like you, Preki, I would think that Id get a beating for it.

there's sportsmanship but you'd take a beating in our league if you acted like a fairy, we play with alot of honor...

Never really have a celebration, unless you count smiling and looking very surprised because a goal from me is very rare.
Anyone who does Reo-Cokers dance would just make a fool of himself and the opposition would just laugh for the wrong reasons. As its only sunday football, a complete over the top goal celebration would just give the opposition an excuse to lynch you.
I dont score goals, so if I do, I die.
I run up to the coner flag (if they are up) and thrust.
Me and my mates all run around in a circle shouting "we're homsexual, and loving it!"
Run up to my lass and get her to kiss me on the cheek or give my boots a cleaning.

When I was younger, me and a mate used to do the dance that a two Man Utd players used to do. I think it was either Ince and Giggs, or Lee Sharpe and Giigs.
I do the lua lua style flips:rolleyes:

I usually have a range of celebrations. If we're losing and i score i usually shout something along the lines of, "Fucking Yes!!" then run back to my half. If we're winning comfortably i'll just casually jog back. If i score an important goal i sometimes do the ol' finger to the lips or anything along the lines of taunting the opposition. If it's wet however i will do a crashing plane across the turf.

who was it that used to pretend to be elvis with the corner flag?

None as such. Usually, I give the assist guy a pat on the back and walk back to my position.
When we're just having a kick-about across the fields, I'll take the piss out've people somehow. Just spontaneously like.

Robbie Keane for me, the way he aims that finger is a little worrying though.
Was quite suprised to see Sergio Ramos do a flip yesterday, where did that come from??

Lee Sharpe
i have stopped the celebrations.i prefer nowadays just to smile and return to the game as soon as possible.in the past i used to do sth like the airplane that montella did

Casual job back to my own half, or acknowledge a team-mate if they gave me an assist. In the League I played in, doing flash celebrations would just get you strange looks and people thinking "what a knob".

Haha, exactly the same here.
