Eric B & Rakim - Paid In Full
Jay-Z - On To The Next One
The newly released Jay-Z single from Blueprint 3, great video. There's already people talking about Jay-Z and his freemasonry, a few more things in the video further suggesting ties to the Illuminati?

The Notorious B.I.G. - Gimme The Loot
Jungle Brothers - The Promo
Deep Purple - Perfect Stangers
Basement Jaxx - A Possibility
The Beatles - From Me To You
How simple and brilliant music can be.
Jay-Z - D'Evils
From his classic debut album Reasonable Doubt, D'Evils is personally Hov's favourite song from his own collection. For good reason. Lyrically it's incredible and the intertwined messages within the lyrics, it's amazing.
"We used to fight for building blocks
Now we fight for blocks with buildings that make a killing,
The closest of friends when we first started,
But grew apart as the money grew, and soon grew black-hearted,
Thinking back when we first learned to use rubbers
He never learned so in turn I'm kidnapping his baby's mother,
My hand around her collar, feeding her cheese
She said the taste of dollars was shitty so I fed her fifties
About his whereabouts I wasn't convinced,
I kept feeding her money 'til her shit started to make sense
Who could ever forsee, we used to stay up all night at slumber parties -
now I'm trying to rock this bitch to sleep,
All the years we were real close
Now I see his fears through her tears, know she's wishing we were still
close,
Don't cry, it is to be
In time, I'll take away your miseries and make 'em mine, D'Evils..."
Wow. The G.O.A.T?

50 Cent - I'm a Hustler
You ever been fed up with Fiddy's current music? Think that he has become a bit pathetic with the beef that he goes for everyday? Then just go and listen to Power of The Dollar or GRODT, Hunter will back me up on this. Power of The Dollar will be getting purchased.
"A thief is only after my salary a liar is after my reality
The streets I know'em like my ABC's
Stay away from the D's and stack ya cheese
Try to see three hundred g's fore you see three hundred C's
Tree top to feel the breeze co connect for key's
Yo bitches sexin me take me to ecstacy
Once I nut (ahh oh shit) I don't want 'em next to me
If its on mother fucker believe I'm gonna ride
I'm the type to swallow my blood fore I swallow my pride
Letters on my shirt read DKNY
Got grimy niggas runnin with me from BKNY"
Great shout that HH, I've had the Power Of The Dollar album for a while and it's not as polished and definitive as Get Rich Or Die Tryin' obviously, but it's still a great catalogue of songs that truly show 50's raw ability and potential. I've followed suit and have been listening to a few songs from the album (albeit through YouTube since I'm yet to re-up Power Of The Dollar onto my iTunes. One of my favourite all time 50 Cent songs, and one his personal favourites as well too I believe is "Your Life's On The Line" from Power Of The Dollar, although since the album was technically unreleased (he was dropped and blacklisted in USA after getting shot), he then moved the song onto his mainstream debut Get Rich Or Die Tryin' (for those unaware). Quality song, and I completely forgot he made a video for this back in the day until now. I'm sure I see Bang 'Em Smurf and Domination in the video too wearing their bulletproof vests.
50 Cent - Your Life's On The Line
"I came into rap humble, I don't give a fuck now
I serve anybody like niggas who hustle uptown
Coke price go up, capsules come down
The D's run in my crib, I'm nowhere to be found
Niggas who hustle for me, they dont even stash cracks
They keep 'em on 'em, right there in their ass crack
When I don't like a nigga, I don't pretend to
I'll have the paramedics wrappin' your fuckin' head like a Hindu..."
"Nigga ain't in his right mind goin' against me
My pictures painted through words will make a blind man see."

Ellie Goulding - Wish I Stayed
Dresta ft. BG Knocc Out - Compton & Watts
Taken from the old-school West Coast G-Funk album "Real Brothas", which is a classic in my opinion, it's just a damn shame that it was quickly out of print, combined with Eazy-E's passing (who put them on and wanted to sign them). Thankfully I'm a proud owner of the album on both cassette and CD, and I certainly recommend any Hip-Hop heads out there to "acquire" it.
"It's time for the phony and the fakes to devour,
And separate the real deal niggas from the cowards,
Never respect a nigga that's tryin' to be somebody else,
I could respect a nigga more that's tryna rap and be himself,
You gotta speak what you feel and gotta speak what you been through,
You never seen cells but speak them jails that you been to,
You think you get respect if you lie and say that you did time
When everybody around you already know you never did crime,
See, I did mine but I don't think it makes me bigger,
'Cos I figure in or out of jail - I'm still a real motherfuckin' nigga."

Playaz Circle ft. Lil' Wayne - Duffle Bag Boy
Just watching Chris Rock's new DVD (3-disc HMV edition ;)) and the theme song to the 'Kill The Messenger Tour' is Duffle Bag Boy. Quite catchy to be honest, not a great song by any means, but a bopper.
"If I don't do nothin' I'ma ball,
I'm countin' all day like the clock on the wall,
Now go and get your money little duffle bag boy..."

I’m feelin’ really good, me and different beat

50 Cent - Many Men
"Sunny days wouldn't be special, if it wasn't for rain,
Joy wouldn't feel so good, if it wasn't for pain,
Death gotta be easy, 'cause life is hard
It'll leave you physically, mentally, and emotionally scarred..."
"Every night I talk to God, but he don't say nothing back,
I know he protecting me, but I still stay with my gat..."
"In the Bible it says, what goes around, comes around
'Hommo' shot me, three weeks later he got shot down,
Now it's clear that I'm here for a real reason
'Cause he got hit like I got hit, but he ain't fuckin' breathin'..."

Random Trivia: The alleged shooter of 50 Cent was Darryl "Hommo" Baum, who was also a close friend and bodyguard of Mike Tyson. After 'allegedly' shooting 50 Cent nine times, three weeks later, "Hommo" himself was gunned down. Upon hearing this news apparently Mike Tyson flipped, and placed a $50,000 bounty on the head of "Hommo's" killer(s). No more is seemingly known about the whole incident.

you know how theres always a period you keep listening to the same song over and over ? I've abused One by U2 over and over again. This performance is too good for me, you can feel how new it is, they haven't played it 3256 times. Bono's extra lyrics and him actually being able to sing high pitched for the end part completes it for me

£150 a head? Wow, that's alot, but I guess Tyson has to clear his debt somehow. How long is the talk then by the way? If it was a few hours, £50 and I was able to take a photo and get an autograph of the great man, then I'd contemplate it. But £150 is crazy.

Head in the clouds wonderin' where the hell Marvin Gaye went?
How do I say this, I'm livin' for my son -

Wake up to a Jesus Piece like a Catholic Nun

Eminem - 'Till I Collapse
Really good song, and Nate Dogg (let's all hope he pulls through in hospital, we need to hear that deep soul voice again) really helps lift it, and it's use in the MW2 trailer really helped give it some airplay too.
"The criminal cop killing Hip-Hop filling -
minimal swap to cop millions of Pac listeners,
Your coming with me, feel it or not you’re gonna fear it -
like I showed you the spirit of God lives in us,
You hear it a lot, lyrics the shock -
is it a miracle or am I just a product of pop fizzing up,
For shizzle my whizzle this is the plot listen up,
you bizzles forgot Slizzle does not give a fuck."
"Till the roof comes off, 'till the lights go out,
Till my legs give out, can’t shut my mouth,
Till the smoke clears out, am I high? Perhaps.
I'ma rip this shit 'till my bone collapse."
"Soon as a verse starts I eat at a MC’s heart,
What is he thinking? How not to go against me? Smart.
And its absurd how people hang on every word
I’ll probably never get the props I feel I ever deserve,
But I’ll never be served my spot is forever reserved
If I ever leave earth that would be the death of me first,
'Cause in my heart of hearts I know nothing could ever be worse,
That’s why I’m clever when I put together every verse,
My thoughts are sporadic, I act like I’m an addict
I rap like I’m addicted to smack like I’m Kim Mathers,
But I don’t want to go forth and back in constant battles
The fact is I would rather sit back and bomb some rappers,
So this is like a full blown attack I’m launching at them
The track is on some battling raps who want some static
'Cause I don’t really think that the fact that I’m Slim matters
A plaque of platinum status is whack if I'm not the baddest."
Wow.

Bitch doing dumb shit, got a college degree
No pre-nupt, one nigga got stuck with her
I was smart, always knew not to fuck with her,
What goes around comes around, scandolous shit -
somebody tried to kill that bitch,
Burnt her bridges, ain't have one friend left
Niggas that know her call her the 'devil in the red dress'..."

What a song, what an album, without a doubt one of the finest collections of material I've ever heard, it's just one of those albums that you're proud to own. One of those albums that even after not listening to it for several months, you put it back on to listen and get blown away everytime.
"I want to be as free as the spirits of those who left,
I'm talking Malcolm, Coltrane, my man Yusef
Through death grew conception,
New breath and resurrection
For moms, new steps in her direction
In the right way
Told inside is where the fight lay
And everything a nigga do may not be what he might say,
Chicago nights stay, stay on the mind
But I write many lives, they lay on these lines
Wave the signs of the times
Many say the grind's on the mind
Shorties blunted-eyed and everyone wanna rhyme,
Bush pushing lies, killers immortalised
We got arms but won't reach for the skies
Waiting for the Lord to rise
I look into my daughter's eyes
And realise that I'ma learn through her
The Messiah, might even return through her
If I'm gonna do it, I gotta change the world through her,
Furs and a Benz, gramps wantin 'em
Demons and old friends, pops they hauntin' 'em
The chosen one from the land of the frozen sun
Where drunk nights get remembered more than sober ones,
Walk like warriors, we were never told to run
Explored the world to return to where my soul begun
Never looking back, or too far in front of me
The present is a gift
and I just wanna Be... "

Definitely. But it's usually like trying to argue with a brick wall anyway because these are the types of people who'll say "can't spell crap without rap" etc, we all know the twats.
What's even worse is that not only do people clump all sub-genres of Rap into "Gangsta Rap", they take what is on the music charts as the complete representation of the Rap genre. I also get irritated when these baffoons criticise Rap (without obviously realising they're simply talking about Gangsta Rap) due to the gun talk, drugs and street credibility. It's as if talking about such things makes the quality of music poor, which is not always the case. It may make the message twisted and the lyrics sometimes hard to listen to (for those sensitive), but it doesn't necessarily mean the quality of the music is shit - see Big L, Big Pun, Notorious BIG, Tupac, even Jay-Z and Nas to an extent also amongst a whole host of other greats.
As you can tell I get aggitated when people completely disregard the whole of Rap, pure ignorance. Not only that, you have the numpties who blame Rap music as an influence in brainwashing younger generations, the same people who usually overlook the fact underage people will always watch the likes of Scarface and other violent blockbusters.
