TQ-Westside
could listen to it all day, mixes rap with r'n'b and makes it work well....great track!
Young Jeezy - Thats How Ya Feel
TQ - Bye, Bye, Baby
One of my all time favourite R&B songs along with Westside sung also by TQ.
This song I'm listening to is taken from his album 'They Never Saw Me Comin' from 1998. Very good song, not as relaxing as Westside but is a great listen.
Above The Law - Killaz In The Park

Metallica- Nothing Else Matters
What can I say, brilliant song.
I like The Massacre, think most of the songs are good,...love Piggy Bank-pity hes dissing Nas! although theres defo good tracks on it...
Sorry but
PiggyBank is awful, I'm not even considering calling it a 'diss' track.
Ice Cube - Once Upon A Time In The Prjects
Great song from his debut album 'Amikkkaz Most Wanted' and also on his 'Greatest Hits'. A story-telling theme to this song. Has an old-skool feel to it.
Followed by:
The Black Market Militia - Paintbrush
First heard this song yesterday, and I must have played it about 10 times since. Really enjoy this song, and the little twinkle in the background. Thanks... ;)
I was planning on buying either The Massacre,The Documentary or Encore(Eminem). Now I dont hear a lot of great things about Massacre, which one would you pick Hunter(and other rap experts/lovers)?
I loved The Eminem Show and the Marshall Mathers LP, is Encore equal or better?
Mos Def - Love
Great song from the great album, Black on Both Sides
Bryan Adams - Summer of 69
The best track ever about, well summer :)
Havent you heard Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince's masterpiece Summertime?
Now there's a great summer track as well :)

The Massacre - Has some good tracks but feels a bit of a drag. Theres 22 tracks on it and only about 3 or 4 are good and worth listening to. I'd give it 4/10.
The Documentary - I don't dislike any songs on this album to be perfectly honest with you, and with Dr.Dre and his quality production this is a great album. 18 tracks on this album and all worth listening to in my opinion. I'd give it 8.5/10 or maybe 9/10.
Encore - Rather strange one to judge, its a mixture between a joke and average. There are some just awful songs on here and can't be excused, Eminem is decreasing as the years go by no arguing. For me, I'd say 4.5/10
So to sum up, The Documentary hands down. But I'm a big Game fan so mine might be slightly bias but you can ask a few others as well just to make sure. Don't think you'll get a different decision to be honest but making sure is the best thing. :)
I was leaning towards Encore at first, but that has changed now. This clears things up, thanks Hunter :)
Ill wait for others who own those albums to give their opinion as well.
Viktor Vaughn aka MF Doom - Modern Day Mugging
I was leaning towards Encore at first, but that has changed now. This clears things up, thanks Hunter :)
Ill wait for others who own those albums to give their opinion as well.
Anytime. :)
But seriously The Massacre will put you in a coma. You would have hit flatline by the end of the album.
Reyes9 and I were talking about it on msn, and he just described one of the songs so well, also left me in stitches.
Whilst going through each song and describing it in a few words.
Outta Control - Great beat
Candy Shop - joke
PiggyBank - just pathetic
Position of Power - not too bad
"God Gave Me Style - erm, nope he didnt"
The Game - Westside Story
Superb beat. Great song to kick off his Documentary album. Would you really expect a song with beats like this to be bad ? I think not. :)
"I got Compton on my back,
I'm starting to feel the pressure,
I'm lyrically Kool G Rap on these Dre records..."
I was leaning towards Encore at first, but that has changed now. This clears things up, thanks Hunter :)
Ill wait for others who own those albums to give their opinion as well.
Leaning towards Encore? Don't dare. The Massacre is just shite.
The Documentary is a classic album in terms of the production. The Game was very smart with his choice of producers.
But seriously The Massacre will put you in a coma. You would have hit flatline by the end of the album.

I do have to agree on Candy Shop, its awful. On the other hand, Outta Control has a great Dre/Elizondo beat to it :)
Well if both of you say The Documentary, I made my choice.

MF Doom & Talib Kweli - ''Old School''. Pure class.
Havent you heard Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince's masterpiece Summertime?
Now there's a great summer track as well :)
Yeah, I've got that one on my PC :D
Xzibit - Eyes May Shine
Superb track from his 1996 album 'At The Speed of Life'. Great song in my opinion from start too finish. If you haven't heard it, I reccommend catching it at some point.
"You could've got away,
But your repsonse wasn't quick enough,
Can't preserve life,
Cause the rest wasn't thick enough..."
Mr. Jones - Counting crows
Actually it's the 'best wasn't thick enough' not the 'rest wasn't thick enough' but it's a bad line either way you look at it.

Actually it's the 'best wasn't thick enough' not the 'rest wasn't thick enough' but it's a bad line either way you look at it.
Actually it is "Cause the rest wasn't thick enough".
At first I thought he said "Vest wasn't think enough", but then I was flicking through the booklet and behold the lyrics. And it says "Cause the rest wasn't thick enough".
EDIT: Although it says "Rest" in the booklet, I'm sure X says "Vest". It would make more sense to the verse as well if he does.
"You could've got away,
But your repsonse wasn't quick enough,
Can't preserve life,
Cause the rest/vest wasn't thick enough,
Teflon,Napalm,Homicide scenes..."
See the Xzibit song you are talking about, does it feature Mobb Deep?
Nope, well theres another guy in the background who says two lines. Unless thats him then its a no. Even if it is him, hes not exactly 'in' the song.

Yeh liked that line! :D
I wonder what Em has to say about they two beefing, as obviously him & 50 are close, but Em also produced Carry The Cross for Nas(i think) so I assume that they're close aswell?
I think 50 Cent will reply, can't see him just letting that one go...
Actually it is "Cause the rest wasn't thick enough".
At first I thought he said "Vest wasn't think enough", but then I was flicking through the booklet and behold the lyrics. And it says "Cause the rest wasn't thick enough".

Yeah I was trying to type 'vest' but hit b instead.
I dunno why it's rest in the booket, I've always thought it was an average line but it wouldn't even make the slightest of sense if it was rest and not vest.

What is your favourite track on the album?
Mine is ''Higher''. Which i'm angry was never a single. Song was and still is awesome.
I like Westside Story, Higher is quality as well. Is it me or does that beat sound like Fiddy's Outta Control?
My top three:
1.Dreams
2.Higher
3. Westside Story

I cant remember which song on the album sounds alike to one of 50's..... I think it kinda sounds like Candy Shop/Outta Control....

It does, almost identical beats.

 ''Higher'' sounds nothing like ''Candy Shop''. ''Candy Shop'' is a Scott Storch production whilst ''Outta Control'' and ''Higher'' are both produced by Dr Dre.
2pac Feat Above The Law - ''Words To My First Born''. Superb beat by DJ Quik, one of the best tracks made post-2pac's death.

Brilliant track from a great album.
