Nice one... great job on the team formations and kits. It will definitely satisfy those that are fans of the MLS. I unfortunately, am one American who misses English football dearly (used to live and play in Leicestershire) and who am totally glued to and in love with the Barclays Premiership - the greatest league in the world!

Yes cos( I use an USB Max drive to transfer my option files from my PC to my Memory Card

i have been waiting a long time for a MLS OF and finally here it is. not only that, but it is fantatstic! i wish i could only play online with these teams. i am starting a new ML now with the MLS. great, great job!

just wondering, what are you not 100% on yet? i have only used it a little while, but so far it is brilliant. the uniforms, formations, logos are all excellent.

Mainly the player attributes, there’s also some player appearances that may have changed (like the trimming of long hair or the growth of facial hair). Also I’m thinking of adding MLS legends and or MLS all-time player teams. I still miss guys like Balboa, Lalas, Preki, and Wynalda. Oh yeah if you guys interested be sure not to miss “El Reto Final Nissan: Team USA vs. Team Mexico” Sun, May 21, 2006!

Great work on the option file Minotaur. But I did notice a lot of the player attributes are off. Like some of the midfielders have goalkeeper-like attributes (SP accuracy 34, GK ability 68). How have you been deciding the attributes? I was planning on using the attributes from Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006 which has all the MLS teams. Also, Fifa 2006 has MLS player attributes. The only thing is that these were released back in late 2005. Let me know if you need any help.

LOL, yes I am very aware of this. I started this option file quite some time ago, so I thought some of the MLS fans were growing restless. I basically consider this a demo option file, and there will be a re-release with more accurate attributes as well as more recent player appearances. As for getting the correct player attributes as well as player's dominant foot, is probably going to be my hardest tackle. I’m leaning towards the idea of using attributes from Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006.

Great work Minotaur! I'm a big MLS fan and I think you did an impressive job. Some of those stats really need some work though, so I'm looking forward to the next version. The All-Time Greatest MLS Teams are a great idea. Thanks for your hard work, keep it up! Hope to see you at a Dynamo game this summer!

The kits look great!! The rosters look very accurate, but like some other fellas, attributes are off, but I caught your explanation. I look forward to your updated MLS OF should you put one out. I too will check out the WWSM for some MLS player stats. Great job my friend. Now I must decide which MLS club gets me as their ML Manager, LOL!! Leaning toward KC, closest thing to a "home" club for me.

Sorry man, I have no idea how to do that Max Drive with the ps2 stuff. I have WE9 for ps2 and bought a Max Drive a long time ago so i can put an Opt File on my game, but I ende up messing up my memory card so i decide to never try that again. Then I just bought WE9 for PC lol

Well this is the only OF I've tried that has the Mexican League and the MLS in it, but I heard there was some other guy who made an OF just for the Mexican League, but I forgot who it was...

I know it's asking a lot (maybe) but could someone put the MLS teams on an option file I uploaded? I already have a good one that I like to use, and don't want to switch just for mls teams...though I DO want them, and the pesfan editor doesn't let you import just one or two teams, but all of them...This is in xport format, but can be changed to maxdrive easily enough...

Yet you do not list what teams you are willing to have them written over to get them. This is why it is best left to the individual and you have the tools to make it happen. Individual teams can be change in the PES Editor with 2 OF. It is time consuming but pretty straight forward. Just put the MLS file in OF2.

On the TEAM tab double click the team to import the kit from OF2.

On TRANSFER you go down the list of players on the team you are needing to replace. Click on each and then when the attribute box pops up select Import OF2. It will bring up a box that lets you move players over from the OF2. Rinse, repeat and enjoy the MLS teams.

I am new to WE9 PC and have just downloaded this file. But I'm trying to figure out what to do with it - can someone please help. I'd love to be able to play MLS teams but am extremely frustrated ....

First make sure you downloaded the right version of the option file.
Second, you have to find the folder where your WE9 saves are.

I did default installation and it created a KONAMI folder in the My Documents folder. Something like My Documents/KONAMI/Winning Eleven 9/save/folder 1. If not then try looking under Program Files/KONAMI... If all else fails, do a search for a Winning Eleven 9 folder.

There should already be an option file in there called "KONAMI-WIN32WE9UOPT"
For some reason, the game will only load option files under that exact name. So you have to delete the one that is already in there and rename the file you downloaded "KONAMI-WIN32WE9UOPT"

Start the game and it'll load the option file automatically.

Let me know if it works, I'll come back and check this thread.

Doubt there will be an update. Minotaur hasn't been heard from in a while.

But I'm planning on making an option file based off of Watson's V4 option file. I'm turning the French League into an MLS/Liga Mexicana league (10 from each). The remaining two MLS teams will be in the Other Leagues section, as well as 4 French teams I wanna keep.

While waiting for Watson to release his new option file, I'm making spreadsheets of MLS teams with players' info and attributes.

I will release it if I get permission from Watson and Minotaur.

This is my first option file, so if anyone wants to offer their help it would be very appreciated.

Tentative release date is mid-September

I'll mostly be getting the player attributes from FIFA06 and Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006, but wouldn't mind some input from MLS fans as well.

And I'm not really big on accurate shoes (a.k.a. cleats) but if someone wants to take that on, let me know.

I'm basing a new MLS option file on his, so I'll begin working on it tomorrow. I've never made an option file before but I'm hoping to have it done before the end of September.

question: I have't played a fifa in years and years. Do they have the same basic stat system as we? Meaning, could i go rent fifa 2007, use its stats as a basis for making the mls teams/players/etc, and be happy?
