Hey guys Giggsy here
any of you guys final fantasy fans?
i've played them since 7 and fell in love with the series
what is everyones favorite bits out of final fantasy?
and what do ppl think about ff 10-2?
and what is everyones fav character from the FF series?

damn strait, pity ists not a patch on the sheer emotion of aeris dieing in 7, or if ur me, her not dieing........
I was torn between Cloud and Sepiroth but seeing as though Sepiroth isnt there it was n easy choice :D
Final Fantasy 7 is one of the best games ever, imho, 8 was class and ten was great. I am getting FFX-2 imported from america soon as its released earlier there.

i can rember playin all the ff from 3 to rest. alwasy a big fan but my fav had to be ff 10. For sum reason it had a different feeling to it for me. i think tha best charcter had to be yuna, since she had all the aeons. ANIMA was my fav aeon!

i liked bahumaut.
the one thing i didn't like about ff10 was their was no world map.
but i bought ff7 by mistake.
i remember iwas quite young and i went into my local game shop and i saw ff7 their so i risked it and gave duke nuken time to kill,abes oddesey and 3.oo quid.
i didn't get it at first .
but that is why ff8 is one of me favs cos i had really liked 7 and i actually new what i was buying.

Believe it or not, I've never played Final Fantasy. People are saying it's great from pretty much all directions but I've still never played it. I've seen it though and it looks amazing to say the least. I'll rent it soon and who knows, maybe it'll be on my Christmas list. :D

How can anyone vote against vivi? he is by far the best character in any ff.
my fave has to be ff9, it was just simply awesome, no other way to put it. the scene near the end of disc 3 did it for me, quality.
My brother ruined ff7 for me, he kept coming into my room and telling me spoilers which really took the edge off the game for me.
ff8 i is probably my second favorite of the series but ultimercias somewhat pointless inclusion seemed to spoil it for me.
ffx was excellent the first time i played it through, basically because i was in sheer awe of the game. But when i played it through again i noticed how badly flawed the game was, what really got me was the whole cycle thing:
- travel to temple
- do cloister trials
- get aeon
and that went on untill basically the end of the game. Also the characters were a huge step back from ffix (it would have been hard to get too much better tho). The only character that was any good was auron all of the others were pretty awful. The other thing i never liked about ffx was the lack of a proper bad guy, i mean Sin had no real proper reason for killing the people of spira - kind of like ultimercia i suppose.
Great graphics though.
I'll probably rent ffx-2 and finish it but not bother buying it, advent children looks really cool.

i have ff6-10 and i never play 6 mainly cos its hard to get into because its old
but the fmv's on ff10 are some of the best on ps2!!

are you gonna get ffxi giggsy, im not too drawn by the idea so far on ps2, but i might get it on the pc.
Your right about the fmvs but i think the general graphics of ffx are better than most other ps2 games.
you should look out for grandia 2 on ps2 cos you probably wont ever see the original game anywhere, but if u do make sure you buy it, cos its out of this world.

i have never played any other rpgs' but theirs a new one out i think alled ultimate saga?
not sure but i won't get ff11 cos i don't like the idea of JUST online.
im not sure about unlimited saga, theres no exploring at all aparantly, town sare all text based and other nasty stuff.
there arent that many good rpgs that come out over here on ps2 that you can still get your hans on but if you can find a copy of ps1 games there are many good rpgs out:
- suikoden 1+2 - i have suikoden 2 and its an amazing game, but i got very lucky in finding it - second hand in a small games shop in Southport.
- Grandia 1+2 - your much more likely to find grandia 2 on ps2. both top quality games with awesome battle systems and great storylines. maybe youll see grandia 2 in a GAME shop in the second hand section, i see it a lot in Liverpool
- Star Ocean - very unlikely to see this game anywhere but if you do buy it.
Breath of Fire - theyre all good games but not as good as the final fantasies. i'd get one of these ahead of unlimited saga though.BOF 5 is out very soon.
Theres so many good rpgs that we dont get in england.eg chrono cross, xenogears, suikoden 3, xenosaga isnt coming out over here now either. It makes me mad that these games are all supposed to be better than the final fanatsys but we dont et to play them.

I've also got Suikoden 1+2! they are excellent but i had to get number 2 on import! its £89 on Amazon, so rare!!!!!!!!!!

i got suikoden 2 for £5 in a bargin bin hehehehe, talk about lucky.
Yeh, ffx-2 is the sequel to final fantasy 10, it has missions and stuff, and the characters walk round half naked (which is not a bad thing).

i thought the only thing bad about ff10 was, no world map.
it was too linear
this is why i can't wait until ff12 because ff11 is JUST online and ff12 will prob just be a normal ff game.
yeh, the details get properly given out on wednesday for ff12, apparently going in a new direction

by the way, final gfantasy 7- advent children is not a rumour or indeed a sequel to ff7, its an animated picture using cgi, it has the characters from 7 and a whole new story. it looks trully stunning, i recommendd u go look at it.
some of you might be upset at why sephiroth is so womanish mind u....
Sephiroth and Cloud=>Just FFVII rules big time.
Agree, Sepiroth and Cloud are the best Characters.
I liked Tidus too, or in my game Sudit. I just put all the names backward in FFX.

Ahh Christ how I love the Final Fantasy series. Anthology and Chronicles just came in with the mail.
I chose Squall. I like the intense personal responsibility he has for others. Seems a bit more serious and has a little more depth than Cloud. If that causes you to sputter indignantly, play through Kingdom Hearts and pay attention when Yuffie and Aeris introduce the Lionheart himself. And Lionheart, the limit break, was some severe shit.
I would have chosen Vincent, had he been amongst.
Squall is also my favourite,cool and may seem a little cold-hearted but he cares for everyone I can tell,FF8 is also the best game of the series..
Agreed Poffe - 8 was outstanding. Squall couldn't say he was the victim of experiments or memory loss or mind control. He made himself into quite the asshole, and had to resolve all of that consciously, aware through it all he was the only one responsible for his past, present, and future.
FF7 is the best one, prob the best game ever, along with Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Zelda: Ocarina of time was a great game.

I've voted for Squall, but I can't hardly remember them all, I've finished it a long time ago, but I'm waitin' for Dirge of Cerberus, I'm a great fan of FF, but my two brother don't like it.
I hate it to be honest, not that anyone bothers.

FF7 is probably the greatest game i ever played
at the time it was released it was a massive hit
an the game was legend for about 2 years its the best of the bunch by far
Rumors won't go away that FF7 will have a second coming for the PS3. I can't argue a better game than 7.
