An eight-year-old boy has died in hospital after being hit by a stolen car on a cycle path on Teesside.
Daniel Curtin was left fighting for his life after the incident on 16 May near Newport Bridge, Middlesbrough.

His mother had released pictures of her son, who she called her little fighter, in hospital to highlight what can happen when a child is hit by a car.

A Cleveland Police spokesman said three people had earlier been charged in connection with the incident.

Daniel died in Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital overnight, the police spokesman said.

A man killed a pensioner the other day due to careless driving and for what was effectivley a manslaughter charge he got a £200 fine. £200 for killing someone :shocking: . Just £200 :shocking: . This country is going down the swanny.

well in australia there has been an alarming increase in crashes by pensioners and the ageing.....a little girl was unluckily hit by a car twice.(i.e when she was in pre school a elderly driver crashed his car into her classroom injuring her, and then incredibly 3 years down the track she was struck down crossing the road from her school and yet again an elderly man was behind the wheel)...and not to mention the 68% of crashes in 2004 involving over 45's
so i think we have a problem here
