ok, you know the first part of the boot, when you go into that you have a choice of appearances for the boot.

By "1" he means that you go into the first part of the boot (Hence why its at the front of the list) and select the first option there.
By "5" he means that you go into the second part of the boot (Hence why its placed second in the list) and select the 5th option there.
Etc, Etc.......

And by "off" he means that the last part of the boot is turned OFF
