Help with Dream Team

Right, so my Dad and some workmates do a Fantasy League each season. I've got a couple of rough teams but know little about many of the Coca Cola Championship players.

You pick a Goalkeeping and Defending team, and the number of goals they concede, you concede. You also pick 7 outfield players and 3 subs. Their goals count as yours and you treat it as a score.

So say Chelsea and Man Utd won 2-1, I conceed 2 (1+1). If my outfield players score 4 goals I win 4-2.

£50m to spend, no restrictions on players from same teams.

I'm most likely going to have Chelsea and Man Utd as my GK and DF then choose alot of CCC players.

All suggestions welcome.

Is the 50m including gk/df teams? so if you chose Chelsea as gk and Man U as df, you'd have 30m left?

Chopra might be a good choice at 3m considering the amount he's scored in the championship on previous occassions. Stern John at 3m is a good choice too, as he seems to excel whenever he's in the championship. Nick Chadwick at 2m is another decent deal.

Yes, you have £50m to get a GK team, a DF team and 10 outfield strikers. Stern John was one of my first choices.

this is a very unique fantasy football and i found it a bit confusing at first but the entry form makes it a bit better to understand.

i would choose liverpool gk and chelsea defence at 22. it is a big chunk but this may well be where most points come from.

In past seasons I've gone for Div 1 defesive teams, then had a Thierry or Ruud in there. But looking at the top 10 of last season all of them had Chelsea + Utd/Liverpool/Arsenal. So this is clearly the way to go.

I have Idiakez and Fryatt as subs atm.

Baros is a risk in the 2nd team, I think there are better players for 4m, maybe howard of Derby?

I think Baros will vastly improve under O'Neil. Then again he couldn't do much worse than he did last season!

As mentioned earlier, Chopra for £3m could be a good buy. Provided he stays fit (I know he has a bit of an iffy hamstring problem) then he could do very well this season.
