SHOCK SIGNING

Andreas Pirlo has put pen to paper for a two year deal with Old London Town. Harry Redknapp has managed to work his wisdom yet again in the transfer market and landed the Italian international which has come as a shock to alot of people.

The full deal included Christian Poulsen, Yildiray Basturk, David Albelda and £20 million pounds going to Club Atlético Independiente for Andrea Pirlo and Helder Postiga.

Old Town fans gathered outside the Olympiastadion today to welcome Pirlo and they were thrilled by the signing, One fan is already touting Pirlo as the next club captain.

David Moores said that the signing of Andreas Pirlo is a great day for the club and he is sure that Pirlo will prove to be a force in Division 2.

STAR IS STAYING PUT

It was thought that Obafemi Martins of Old London Town was on his way out of the Olympiastadion after having a fall out with manager Harry Redknapp.

However it has now been reported that the manager and player have settled their differences and Martins has stated his love for Old London Town. Redknapp felt that Martins was maybe getting above himself demanding first team football, but he has made it clear that he will not tolerate players thinking that they are bigger than the club.

Martins said that he did not want to leave the club, he is very happy playing at the Olympiastadion and can not see himself leaving in the near future.

He also added that when he approached Redknapp regarding first team football it was not meant to come across maybe as it did, he only wanted to show how much enthusiasm he has for Old London Town.

Today Old London Town Chairman David Moores has unvailed the new manager of Old London Town following the shock exit of ex Manager Harry Redknapp.

The new man in charge is Roberto Mancini who is a very highly rated manager and Old London Town fans can be sure that he will provide exciting football for the club.

STADIUM EXPANSION

The Old London Town board have announced today that during the summer break construction will get underway for the expansion of the Olympiastadion.

The current capacity is 74,228 and the plan is to make it an 80,000 seat stadium.

Old Town are hoping that following their domestic double and promotion to Division one more Old London Town followers will be tempted to purchase a season ticket.

The expansion should be finished before the start of season 07/08.

MANCINI BRINGS IN THE BIG GUNS

Roberto Mancini has been a very busy man in the current transfer window. He has already signed six players, all of which are very good additions to the Old London Town squad.

One player that caught every Old London Town fans eye was the Brazilian international Ricardo Kaka. Roberto Mancini stated that Kaka is the sort of player that every manager dreams of having and he does not need any introduction.

Roberto Mancini promised the Old Town fans that he would be making changes to the squad in order to aid the newly promoted teams first season in Division One. However some of the Old Town fans already feel that after the recent changes, their team should be able to stay in Division One and maybe even mount a title challenge in a few seasons time.

CRUZISE'S IN

Old London Town have signed the physical and tall forward Julio Cruz.

The Argentinian is a superb finisher in front of goal and with his six foot three frame he is very lethal with his head.

Although Cruz is now 33 years of age he is still looking to push for a first team place in the Old Town line up. He feels that he will link up really well with Saviola or Martins.
