Final League Standings Prediction Game

OK, now that we have had a chance to see how each team is playing, I thought I would post this.

The Rules

They are quite simple really. Post up what you think the final league standings will be, and points will be awarded (or taken away) based on how close you come to the real final standings.

You will get:

+5 points for a correct team position
+2 points for 1 away (E.G: You predict Arsenal will finish 19th, and they finish 20th)
+1 points for 2 away
0 points for 3 away
-2 points for 4 away
-4 points for 5 away
-6 points for 6 away
-8 points for 7 away
-10 points for 8 or more away

There is also a 20 point bonus if you guess the top 3 and bottom 3 in any order correctly.

EG: You Predict: Real Standings:

1) Liverpool 1) Fulham
2) West Ham 2) Liverpool
3) Fulham 3) West Ham

18) Man Utd 18) Arsenal
19) Chelsea 19) Man Utd
20) Arsenal 20) Chelsea

...and If you guess the top 3 and bottom 3 in the correct order, then you get a 35 point bonus.

You have Until 11:59 pm on the 10th of September to submit you're guess, all entries after that time will not be entered. Good Luck!

I actually sent that prediction into the bookies before the season even started...

Haribo - I wouldn't say guaranteed...it will be quite hard to stay in the positive though. I would think the winner will have about 15 - 20 points.

I changed the deadline to 10th september, 23rd seemed too long.

:blush: As you can see I put Pompey all the way up there, I've read everyone elses and they are all similar, I know my Predicition is wild but if it did happen (which it can) no one else will be close and I would win, anyway Chelsea will not win the Title this year Man Utd or Aston Villa will. :laugh:

Seeing as the Premiership is drawing to a close I have decided to revive this thread. Once the season is completely finished I will calculate the scores. Obviously, no more entrys will be accepted :rolleyes:. Any post-editing to improve your score is not allowed, and you will be disqualified.
