Javier Zanetti is the best for me. Very solid defending and very good attacking.
Maicon is a good RB too.

Willy Sagnol for me.
Salgado and Finnan?
Why isnt Zammy on the list? You even put him down as yours.

I thought Zambrotta was a left back?
He can play both sides just as well.

Neville's past it, Finnan's rubbish, I have to say Cafu....he's in a different league
What about Paulo Ferreira?
They're all good. But to be honest, I never classified Zammy as a RB.
Im going to stick with Miguel and Sagnol from what I have seen. I think they were the best two RB's in the World Cup.

He's played there many times, including at the weekend.

yeah I kind of changed my mind about Zambrotta's position half-way through and I wasn't able to change it

Incorrect, in th World cup Zambrotta went to right-back, so that Fabio Grosso could come in at left-back
Zambrotta spent most of his final season with Juventus at right-back. Also played there regularly for Italy.

In fact, maybe Trabelsi should have been included in the list. Besides I think Ivan Cordoba makes an excellent right back too if he played there. Think about his world class man-marking and jockeying. Then his pace and acceleration, and not forgetting he possesses an excellent jump to deal with long balls. IMO, the best right back outside of the list.
What about Paulo Ferreira?
He's crap.
Javier Zanetti for me.
Surprised about all the votes for Zanetti as he isn't as good as he used to be.

i've gotta go for Gary Neville because of his consistency, passion an he can fire in one hell of a cross!!
I said Zanetti Sweey becuase until now, i couldnt be arsed to say Other and post Zambrotta...

Can't be arsed, but Zambrotta, closely followed by Finnan.
Zanetti in my opinion. A pity that he dont was in the WC, but he still is the best right back in the world and the best in the history of Argentina (IMO).
He's crap.
Javier Zanetti for me.
Shit is the right word man.
Zambrotta. He is right footed and i'm sure prefers to play at right back. Honorable mention for Finnan though he does alot yet remains in the background.

Shit is the right word man.
You're being too ridiculously generous there mate. 'Shit' is just what he is good at, but I'd say he is an overrated too hyped up rancid slice always hiding behind his cowardness. And deserves to die and burn.
Anyone mentioning Finnan deserves praise.

I think Eboué should get a couple of votes, really. Not only he's solid at defending, but often turns into a very real threat offensively. That being said, I think he'll keep improving and soon will be in everyone's radar as world class.
Zambrotta should probably get it though. A couple of years ago, I wouldn't have hesitated to say Cafú.
Much like the other thread, Id choose Zambrotta. Excellent.

Javier Zanetti.
Daniel Alves, Nélson, Sergio Ramos and Hatem Trabelsi.
Ramos is highly overrated. Aside from that i've seen him appeal for offside from a throw-in.

Bit of a contradiction there eh?

I don't see why he should get any, to be honest. It's pleasing on the eye seeing him bomb forward constantly, and he's quite a good defender, but he still has a lot to work on. He's poor in the air, his positional sense isn't much to write home about and, like Lauren, is prone to rash challenges.
I wouldn't rank him up there with Javier Zanetti, Gary Neville, Willy Sagnol, Miguel etc, rather alongside the likes of Daniel Alves, Nélson and Anthony van den Borre, who have the potential to become world class.

Eboue has looked pretty poor this season im comparison to last season to be honest.
But form is temporary and class is permanent. You don't keep the likes of Nedved and Robinho on your back pocket by luck.
I am convinced he will become one of the best right-backs in the world.
