Just got this game and its brill!! like all EA games it has CLASS music in and the gameplay, oh the gameplay. SOO GUUUD!! right now me and my bro are taking turns and we're doing this career mode. You start of with this crap car then you get mmoney and add anything you like to it. e.gs headlights, bumpers, neon lights, new alloys and stuff.

You also get famous, like the betta you race, betta your car is the more famous u get. You get to be on the front cover on amgazines. That also measn you make the big bucks. Right now ive unlocked quite alot you would think but, in career you have over 120 races, soo theres much to get yet.
I strongly recomend this especcialy if your a big fan of driving games, not only is it real but its fun and at tha same its an arcade game!! :D :D

soo anyone thinking of gettin it?? :)

i think you can get a demo in this months (or might be last) addition of "playstion 2 offical mag" they usually have demo's in there. Im not 100% sure weither it was this months or last month since my mate had it tha demo, but i cant remember which month he said he ahd it.

There is indeed a demo of NFSU in the OPS2 with Return of The King as the cover game. Issue 40, as I recall. Great demo but I played a better one in an American magazine which truly blew my mind away. Endearing stuff. Too many good-great titles out right now though, which is frustrating considering WE7 has been eating up my gaming life for ages now.

I'm currently playing Jak II, HCTP, Call of Duty and MP2! And there's still PoP, BG&E, Manhunt (which should get an AO rating), THUG, I-Ninja, R&C: Going Commando etc. waiting to be played (not purchased, of course).

Yes, HCTP=Here Comes The Pain. Well done for solving my acronym. :) To be honest with you, I'm not entirely impressed. The new match modes and grappling system are great but the weight detection is way off and often infuriating. HBK can't suplex Prince Albert? I'm sorry Yukes, but yes, yes he can. This man went through a 60-minute Iron Man match with Bret Hart with a broken arm. He's as tough as they get (not just basing it on his WWE personality).

Even I'm starting to have doubts about purchasing the game. At first, I thought the violence was just a gimmick to add shock value to the title but upon playing parts of it, I can honestly say (while being a very good game) it is extremely disturbing and not for the faint of heart. I have no idea how R* got away with a 'Mature' rating. ESRB=shambles.

Call of Duty is amazing, true, albeit not as historically telling (sorry, history buff) as Rising Sun. The feeling of the game is just right, however, I imagine. The disorientation in Stalingrad is excellent. Fuck textbooks, give this and MOH to GCSE students.

With the 1st 2, i played for like 10 mins each... i havent got tha demo, my mate has and i went round his and he just soo happend to have tha demo's!!

I thought that smackdown5 was class in every aspect, it impressed me. If you ever played "no mercy" in there if you was over a certain amount of weight e.g 400lb's then people wouldnt be able to pick um up. Maybe its tha same with smackdown:hcpt, and albert is just over the boundary. Albert looks quite heavy, and too be honest i dont think i would ever see hbk suplex albert, now that would be somthing to record!! :D ...i guess IF you cant pick people up like test then that would be stupid, but albert i dont think theres much wrong with that, unless hes lost weight :eek:

Manhunt looked very violant, and at the same time it looked crap. The acctual game looked like it had a good idea but the graphics wasnt to good. In this type of genre you wouldnt really wanna see crappy blood scenes. I thought it was guud for tha lil time i was playin but, it depends on how long your gonna wanna be playin it for!!

Now the last game "Call Of Duty" is unbeliveable, it just has a movie kind of effect to it and its too guud!! Since my graphics card got messed and have been given a crap one for time begin i have to play on my bro's comp when hes not on, (hes always on :mad: ) i hardly get to play it :( but from what ive played and seen; its pure class!! :D

Fine. You'ree probably not into the older generation of wrestling and believe me, HBK can suplex A-Train with ease. Why, in 1996, he suplexed Big Daddy Cool and he easily exceeds A-Train's weight. Want a newer, fresh ( :rolleyes: ) example? How about RVD not being able to suplex (or any other lifting move) Test, eh? Believe me, I've played the game for ages now, and the weight detection system needs some fine-tuning.

Manhunt has some of the best graphics around, I don't know what build you were playing. The grisly cutscenes and dark nature of the environments suit the subject matter and are done exceedingly well.

Had a good go at it a little while back in my local games shop and it was great. Multiplayer is fantastic especially Drag mode. The only niggle I had with the game was the repetition of tracks. Not really any big differences in any of the tracks I played on.

Still, another AAA title.

nope.... i think if there was more detail in tha bodeis it would look betta, although there bodies have a strong figure, there is just somthing about it that doesnt convince me enough. There faces look good though :)

Im gonna get it and then i'll see what people are talkin about...

Although the screenshots are stunning, it doesn't do the game justice and many professional reviewers would agree with me. If you see the game in action for a reasonable amount of time, you'll find the visuals are one of it's most appealing aspects.

you'll notice that the pc version has waay more cheats. Casue its only came out, there isnt much. Hopefully more people will buy it and then post in cheats on the net... but for now these are the only cheats for ps2!

Well my 1st impressions were that it looked awesome and looked very fun, and exciting. Its acrade and i noticed straight away that when u play a computer they wont just stay in a route and follow each other like other games "no names mentioned", making it look perfect and dumb. In need for speed they do what ever they can to win, they'll barge you into buildings and there ALL over the place. :D :D REAL COOL! :cool:

gameplay... well i wouldnt give it a 10 or a 9 since if your real far away with someone (even on hard) and your driving shit, they'll drive shit too and you'll easly be able to catch right up, but if your driving reall guuud they will too. I think that would be good if it was on easy, but on hard it should be hard all the time!!

graphics... are fantastic however, even with tha top of the range computer, it still has a little feeling which shouts improvement. If this was on ps2 then i would give it atleast a 9 most proberly a 10, but for pc they could have added lil bits too make it better, like the neon lights too light up more, plus they've left all the ruff edges in which leaves it like tha ps2 version abit. Now too be perfectly onest here, ive asked my bro about some of these casue he plays it waay more then me and he thinks its an 8 personally i think its a 9 but hes played it alot more and gotten used to stuff and noticed bits which are dodgey. :rolleyes:

Sound... the sound again is fantastic (like all EA games the music is top). Its got a variety of music in, which could suit all people. Some songs i dont even like but i listen to them on need for speed any wayz since it just suits the whole theme. Like i said i havent played this game as much as my bro.. I would give it a 9 but ive played it for like 2-3 max alltogether... whereas my bro has been playing it alot more. It does sound good and everything, but the engines sumtimes they doo your head in abit, though u can turn it off... Most the engines sound the same but you still here each and every part of the boost and the wind :)

Value... Well havent had it for ages but right now it seems very addictive, It seems quite easy which is kinda bad, but theres soo many races ( 111 in career). I guess wants u have finished with that it could get boring with the ps2 version, but not with pc version, since u could play other people online!

Tilt... Overall i think this is 1 fantastic game, and should be purchased by any racing fan. It has great lookin graphics excelent music and sound. It has a quick learning curve and you'll be able to knock right into action!! Not only do u have a career mode but once its over u can just share your fun with other people online thats if you have the pc version

The game is coming out for all consoles, it's just that it's only playable online on the PS2.

The game is still coming out on all consoles and the PC, but online play is only a feature in the PC and PS2 versions.

I've noticed that the handling is much improved from the last game, more realistic.

Also, you no longer just bounce off walls. You can spin out of control and fly through the air. :cool:

I just think the new handling makes it more realistic and challenging. :)

I've only played the drag race once and made a complete cock-up of changing gears. :rolleyes: :D I'll give it another crack later though.

you basicly just have to press the gear up button when tha green circle goes to green. If you do then you get a "perfect shift" and you'll go faster.
Theres only one wayy to improve the drag races, and that is to make them loonger :D

p.s just thought i should mention how to do it since i never realzied how to do it, untill after a couple of goes! ;)

The music is just too guud :). Theres sum songs which aint really my paticular brand of vodka :p but they really suit the game. I listen to all the songs in tha game but i wouldnt listen to sum of them on its own. (when im not playing n4speed)
SUM people complain about the songs :confused: though it gives the feeling to speed up lol :D

its an immense car. ive unlocked level 3 paints and u can have light changing paint. ive got a blue/purple nissan 350Z with 20 inch alloys and an amasing spoiler. i hav a really kool body kit on it and i hav unlocked the kool different head lights and back lights u get. i made the eclipse off of the first fast and furious. its pretty kool

i think the drags are really fun because they are really fast but i like the circuits when u get a new car. i like trying it out. if u hav done the drag 14th construction and vine or woteva its called if u go fast enough u can beat the train without having to jump it. hav u used any cheats on ur game?

Yeah. I seem to be winning most of the time on the circuit races now. Got the hang of it you see. ;)

i played the game friday, its surprisingly EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i love the fast and the furious style drag racing. the whole game is brilliant!

at the end u get a choice of 2 body kite. it means u r not allowed to put back bumpers on it or that u just hav to stick unless u change all around it. theyre well kool coz they are wide kits. and ive got a tiger vinyl lol

I like Midnight Club 2 better than this game. Just personal opinion. But this game is far too repetitive ie. racing the same location for ages. In midnight club you have more freedom and it is more like street racing. I like the handling of midnight club 2 better as well because it's more arcade like and less frustrating.

But of course, like all EA games, this gets all the headlines and the glory. My sister says that this game is really good because of the music... Never heard of that before have we?

ths skyline feels real powerfull for me, thats guud other then trying to do them time trial tracks "you have to go round a wavey track in a certain time, its tha one where you are racing cars but there not there casue it would put you off...oh and you have to drift. (swerve, skid)" hope ya get which one i mean ;)

yea you can load up each other games... i have it for tha pc soo i aint 100% sure but my mates always have big argument on whos betta and got tha betta cars!! :rolleyes: They go to each others houses then tell me tha next day wha happens

got a sky line at the moment! on 14th and vine (like i said before i use that to measure improvement) i got 21:16 friday night!

me and my mate finally raced each other and literally won 50% each!

good job really, imagine the hurt feelings after days of "my cars better than your pile of sh*t" taunts!!! ;)

also beat the record of "last races" on friday! about 74 i think!

lol nice one mate. I didnt know that after i completed underground mode i could still unlock new vinyls etc. easiest way to do it is going to Quick Race, selecting drift and 5-10 laps and then get as many Style Points as possible. :D

I'll get a pic of my new skyline on here tomorrow.

My only gripe with NFS:HP2 is that the cops seem to throw that tyre spike thing out in EVERY race!

:eek: I thought that was 1 of the best features in the game. They should have included cops (in cars) chasing you, in NFS:UG. Would have made it abit harder.

I think both are worth buying, but if i had to pick one, i'd go for Underground personally (Drag and Drift modes are cool extra's) and seasons a great experience.

NFS:Underground is both my 2nd favourite game (what can top PES?) and my most hated on some days, its so frustrating when you hit a really tough race!!!!

got 111/111 now, but i'm not finishing the game by beating that Legend fella cos it will stop me editing my car!

yes it is a good game. best racing game to come from ea games for a long time. i liked gta 3 a spec toca race driver but NFS as to be the best racing game yet.with all the modifications u can do to ur car.o by the way cleared the underground mode with a nissan skyline. with stage three turbos stage three nos infact stage three everything. cars so fast i have to bolt the tele to wall.good sound tracks as well and car sounds are good as well if ur playing it through a big sony hifi and using a toshiba 28inch surround television in my bedroom.

i completed it and have gone round again, and i'm STILL stuck on the Enduro street race (or as i call it "the 7laps of dooooooom")

i swear on my 1st go on it, i crossed the line in 1st on all of the 1st 6 laps...then the guy in 2nd passed me, and as i was overtaking him to retake 1st he went across 3 lanes of traffic to ram me into the wall, no exaggeration!

15+ attempts later i've still not recovered from the shock

on drift course 4 my mate got 77914 in ONE drift and 214765 in total, in same race.

we were stunned. he was just glad someone witnessed it, he was about a foot away from the wall when it finished aswell, imagine losing all of that.

yeah, its great :D i like the feel of the car. on gt3, great game but you always hit the walls unless u slow down to a ridiculously slow speed. on nfs its easier to turn and slide.

graphics are great too.

i agree that its better to learn for yourself, but if i was told of the extent you can mod the game, id have got it ages ago :D

Does anyone else find that the only car that can handle speeds of over 215mph is Skyline???

mine was top speed and 1 from top accel, i traded it it for Lancer (top in both, thus techically faster) but that blows at 210mph, the first time i raced with skyline it went 230mph+ and didn't blow (must have timed NOS brilliantly) but now it handle 220ish.

i said before, the level i use to gauge how good my car is normal 14th+vine, my mate got 20:17 on it, my best is 20:48, has anyone beaten these times? i'm intrigued to see if sub 20 times are possible

how do u get inside 20 sec??i tried everthing..including the NOS tapping

we do NOS tapping technique. i think a lot of it is down to your start. and i cant explain how i do mine. my mate is consistantly in 20's now. i still hover around 21, with the odd 20.50. i nos between gears til i get in to 6th, then use the rest when i have the ramp at the end in sight. but dont actually go over the ramo, you lose a slight bit of time

i think i chose unique nos+turbo. seems to the trick. what are your cars stats (e.q mine is one from top accel and top on speed, handling doesn't matter.)

p.s.finally broke 50,000 drift (course 6) with Mazda Mx5 i got 57000. but the sad things is...thats not even half my mates (he got 125,000 on same course)

for 50,000 you get an "Insane drift" bonus, and for 100,000 you get "drift king" which he very probably is.

Ive had a very simular lookin car to that, very nice. Is it just me or when you play this game you have the urge to want to change the look of your car casue it begins to look too boring!! :(
