Installation.

what you need –
a)ppfomatic3
b))nero or other cd burning tool which works


1) Using ppfomatic patch the ‘bin’ with ppf patch included (note–if errors-still may work but probably you have the wrong sized rip.)

2) Wait

3) Try the Fernando and polter correct names patch included-untested otherwise eg the Trad Brick stadium name is still in!----Untested using this so beware! (also a ppf u just apply to the same bin)-not needed if have xport with good option file on.

4) Burn as slow as possible in nero or whatever you use.
If no joy on boot up scan for errors in cdmage then repair and/or use eccregen to scan and fix errors prior to burn

It does work, it´s a ftp-link, you should use a ftp-program such as "CUTE FTP" or a download manager

I keep trying to download JB patch from Lomungtung's server but it keeps breaking down. Anyone know where else I can get hold of it?

I have patched the monster onto my retail rip and it works great.

Use Flash FXP or CuteFTP to get it from lomungtung so that you can resume the download rather than start again.
I've heard that the file is also available in edonkey2000, kazaa and as a BitTorrent at the supernova place.

I´ve patched my image with the newest jb and before burning I´m editing all players with Kmochidas editor at the PC, after that I´m going to burn it so I have my option file on CD ;)
btw I think the second add-on patch that comes along with the jb22.11. is just for real stadium and team names, and from what I´ve seen you can change stadium names in the Kmochida editor as well :)

What exactly do you want to do mate ? If you want to have the kits from this patch in your PC version then grab "The Wolf´s" kit pack, there are links to that file in the "general discussion" forum.

Ive patched the game successfully with this patch. I was just wondering does anyone know of a patch which i can apply on top of this that changes the club names. I used that other one but that just froze after the game loaded up and I dont know how you get the option file onto a ps2 memory card! Cheers.

yes, normally the teams that you have to change are listed in the readme.
To your first question, it is possible with WE7, I don´t know if it´s possible with PES3.

Thank Jimmy G-who is in the field for the replay music!

As long as the in game callname for -

Man Utd is Parma.
Liverpool is Feyonnord
Barcelona is Lazio
the chants etc will work....I did this prior to converting the option file to over.afs but due to limitations in the convertor it did not carry over so....

MAKE SURE you change the callname's ingame goto-

edit team->team name->3rd one down and eg where it says Trad brick change to Parma and same for the other 2

or if you have an xport use this option file.
Make sure Home and Away fans is selected (but not sure on this!)

Using nero telling me cd is not large enough!ive been checking out all the threads peinsight,issextreme ..repeated each step 1 by 1 for a whole day .i think there should be one main universal method of patching. what is the one sure method of using this patch?pls explain in fine detail!

1. Follow the DVD ripping guide correctly and completely.

2. Download the jonboyo patch and the small update patch, fully and without errors.

3. Make a copy of your PES3 image.
4. Unrar the patches.
5. Use ppfomatic 3 to apply the main jb patch to the image. Should be done in a short time.
6. Then apply the jb update to this patched image.
7. Burn as an image using Nero or whatever.

It sounds like you've got an error in what you downloaded as well as PC problems, so you'll have to start again or try using someone else's PC. Good luck.

I hope it will work for you, normally if the file is corrupt you cannot do anything.

I don't get this forum when it comes to patches, nor for that matter the main patching section on the website...

May I suggest some sort of matrix that lists all of the available patches for both WE7 and PES3, and their features, and perhaps allows registered users to rate them out of ten? I only visit the site every now and again, but every time I do it seems like I have pages of reading to do before I can find out which patches to bother with, and where to download them from.

Which leads me to my questions - Is there anywhere permanent that people know of that hosts the patches that come out? As far as I can tell, not even Jonboyo's own site hosts more than the most recent one. (And if there are more, they aren't linked to from the front page). I know that someone very kindly hosts an FTP off their home connection, but obviously it's not always up.

My real question, to put this post back on topic, is regarding player names in PES3. All I really want out of a patch is the correct player names and club names, but this patch doesn't mention them. The last Jonboy patch I tried didn't seem to make any difference to player names either. Am I missing something, or do I really need to find another patch that does player names? It seems like too obvious a thing to miss out of such an all-encompassing patch.

I have a chipped PS2, but no USB memory card widget, so I really am just limited to patching images.

When playing with a new patched version, you have to take out your memory card to see any changes in players details, eg names. You can then go to the Save option file option in Edit mode and it will over-write your option file with the details from the patch - only do this if the patch has better names/transfers etc than your option file.

You can just load the patched version with no mem card in to see how it is before making your choice in over-writing.

well Robbo, there is a sticky called "Lomungtung FTP - GET ALL PATCHES FROM HERE" :rolleyes:
This server is online (almost) 24/7 and I have an average DL speed of about 12-15 kb/s, that means it takes you about 4-5 hours to download the biggest patches, I think that´s ok.

Club Commentary names only had to be unlocked in PES2. You can change them easily in PES3. Georginho's option file for PES3 has all the corrections made. It depends on which option file a patch-maker wishes to use.

All PS2 patches should be in the form of a .ppf file.
Rar files are the compressed form of patches to help save space (and time of downloading). Use WinRar to uncompress a .rar file to make it into a .ppf (in almost all cases).

Yes, download the rar files you need.
Once it's on your hard disk, you just open the rar file with WinRar to extract the ppf from it.

lomuntung is only for uploading and downloading. Don't try to do anything else to those files!

Is It like a slide-card or a flip-top etc..

I think you are referring to the PES3 DVD ripping guide? It's a sticky thread and all the relevent info is in there. This method converts your PES3 DVD into a CD-rip - which you can then patch and burn onto a CDR. PES3 as a DVD cannot be patched and then burnt onto a CDR as it is too big.

Follow the complete jonboyo DVD ripping guide to get a rip from the DVD. Then patch a copy of the rip and burn it.

Right quick update. I've followed JonBoyos DVD ripping guide fully and i have downloaded the 2 patches (monster and update). Now what do i do?????

I think i have to make an image of the game or do you do that in the DVD Ripping guide?? I AM SO CONFUSED!!!!!

If you followed the DVD ripping guide correctly, you should now have a clean image of the game, a CD-rip version. Don't patch this - make copies of it and only patch the copies or you'll have to do the DVD rip process all again.
Your image consists of a folder containing a 1KB .cue file and a 721MB .bin file.

Use ppfomatic3 to apply the monster patch to the bin file followed by the update. Then burn your patched bin and away you go :cool:

Is it possible to make some changes to the JonBoyo patch (not that it needs it :D ). It's just that i've seen a scoreboard design i like and also i may not like the in-game music.

Have you tried this on top of the Monster patch. Is it a straight ppf to be applied after you apply the first monster patch???

To install -> update->

1st) jb22.11.03.ppf to the '.bin' file of confusion rip.
from Lomungtung's ftp- in pes3(retail) folder use ftp client eg flash fxp so you can resume if disconnected.


2nd) 22.11to30.12.03.ppf to the same '.bin' file
from where you downloaded jb22.11.03.ppf on Lomungtung's ftp ie- the same folder


3rd)30.12to5.1.04.ppf to the same'.bin' file

4th) Burn as slow as possible in nero or whatever you use.
If no joy on boot up scan for errors in cdmage then repair and/or use eccregen to scan and fix errors prior to burn

5th) Ideally use xport and transfer the included option file '.xps' from 30.12to5.1.04.rar file.

worked very well!

only needed to fix stadia overlong names so this should work fine-
its only 4.15 MB (4,353,931 bytes) and worth having definitely!

load up without memory card to see changes...
Only error I've seen is Finland's white top shirt needs making default kit(not to use edited one) in edit team.

i think x ports are just for option files.

you need a chipped ps2 or get a slide card for your ps2 to play patched versions of pes3
