As I said the last season, DF has the best team in the D3.
His defense look strong, but the midfield is the best part of his team. Also with two great goalscorers in the attack, his team should win the match.

I'm not going to go into who the strongest teams are... I'd obviously be biased! I was just wondering whether Dragonfly's MF might be slightly too narrow, allowing wide wingers like Cardozo and Tuncay to get behind the defence regularly... If I'm not mistaken, they would both beat Degen and Moretti for pace.

Just a thought...

Sorry Dimi, Dragonfly for me. Even with the slight width problem in midfield he has a far stronger defense and should be able to cope with you're attacks easily.

You've got a solid squad there, Dimitri, which should do well for you this season, but I think dragonfly has a bit too much class, and is going to be very hard to beat this season.

The midfield is superb. D'alessandro and Benayoun may come inside frequently, but I still think they have enough ability out wide to cause most full-backs problems, however I feel Leighton Baines can keep Yossi Benayoun quiet on this occasion.

The midfield battle should be intriguing. Both midfields are quite adventurous, and Tuncay and Neri Cardozo will cause problems with their pace and trickery.

It's quite an even contest all over the pitch, however I feel dragonfly has just an extra edge in most areas of the pitch, with Kim Kallstrom's creativity in the middle being key to the win. I think he would win this, probably by a single goal.

2-1.

I regret voting so early, as it looks like dragonfly might cruise this one, but it actually should be a fairly close contest, as there isn't a great deal between the teams.

Win for Dragonfly

Solid defence, and not a bad strike force either.

His midfield i think is great, very well balanced and Benayoun and D'Alessandro will cause major probs.

Dimitri also has a good D3 team and i feel he will be pushing for promotion this season.

Frei could play a major role for him this season.

My vote goes to Dimi, based on the large margin between the two teams. Both actually have strong squads but as Reyes pointed out, Dragonfly just seems to have a bit too much class for Dimi to gain a lead. From the vote count, it appears Dragonfly's team will walk it therefore my vote is to close the margin slightly to possible make the scoreline a more realistic one.

Good match and tactics, well done to both teams.

This battle will be won in the middle as both defences are quite strong and the forwards are about equal. So in the midfield Dragonfly steals it. His two wide men will cause problems and his central pairing suit well. I reckon 2-1 Dragonfly.
