This is a remarkably even contest!

Both have strong keepers who can keep a team ticking over with vital saves. Both defences are pretty intimidating and even ruthless and I couldn't really say that one is stronger than the other...

Up front both teams have goal machines who will score if given helf a chance.

The difference lies in midfield. Although Nolan and Frings can both score goals, Demichelis could be given the job of man-marking Nolan out of the game, leaving Frings and Moutinho to feed SWP and Pedersen. Edmilson may not be able to cover that much ground and would probably run out of steam soon.

Downing doesn't look like he'll get much change out of Boulahrouz and Ljungberg may be tempted to make his usual runs inside to help battle for the middle of the park, leaving Pedersen to take on Neville.

I would expect Charlie9 to dominate proceedings in midfield with Makaay heading in a from Pedersen free-kick and tapping in a rebound after Frings has a shot come off Friedel's fingertips...

Phatmann for me, A very close game but with the two side-backs being attacking when needed this will prove the match winner. The rest of the sides are very even however I think service for Makaay would prove somewhat difficult.

I cant split the two teams so im going for a draw.

I think Neville is better as a right back than Boulahrouz and he gets forward quite alot.

Both center back partnerships look very strong, and both left backs are very good.

Nolan and Edmilson i feel could work really well together, but also Charlies middle three is looking strong and would be laying some brilliant balls off to Wright Phillips and Pedersen on the wings.

Fred and Klose for me is a brilliant partnership and would cause serious problems, but then Makaay with the backing of the likes of Pedersen will also do well.

I just cant split the two teams

Charles gets my vote. His strong defense and his trio in the midfield will stop Klose and Fred for sure. Then with his two wings, Makaay can score atleast 2 goals and give the win tho Charlie team.

Good game. Downing could beat Boulahrouz unless he gets some help from a midfielder, say Demichelis. Frings and Demichelis will shadow Edmilson in midfield, Mike could do with added defensive strength in the centre, especially against a midfield trio. Klose's a potent poacher and will take Marquez's attention all game.

I don't think Pederson suits Charlie's formation as he isn't a suitable wing forward, could be played further back and infield. SWP and Makaay wouldn't link up too greatly but individually they're effective, SWP going on his dribbles and Makaay feeding on chances. Along with Moutinho and Pederson, they can provide creativity and probably craft out one goal, and while Mike might get the lesser share of possession, he has many attacking players spreaded out like Neville and Downing, and Zambrotta if he comes on for Taylor, so I feel they'll leave their marks on this game. Mike to win 2-0.

Draw, for me.

While the midfield three of Charlie's is very strong, the decision to employ Makaay on his own would prevent his side being able to take all 3 points.

Fred and Miroslav Klose could cause more problems down the other end, although Curtis Davies and Rafael Marquez will give them a tough time.

In the future, a 4-4-2 system with Robbie Keane alongside Makaay would probably suit Charlie better.

I don't see a winner coming out of this, so i'll vote for whoever is trailing.
