It's going to be a huge task to break down Charlie's side. With that defence, two good holding midfielders, and hard-working wingers, it's a going to be like going through two walls.
John Carew was a smart choice for the lone role up-front. Pump balls up to him, and he can chase and harass defenders hoping for a slip-up, and win a lot of flick-ons, but unfortunately for him, there doesn't look like much support heading his way. Stelios and Pedersen could run-on to a flick, perhaps, but Preki has quite a strong defence and central midfield, so they shouldn't be naive enough to not pickup the runners.
Some good attacking options for Preki, but it's going to almost need an army to break that backline down. With the 3 centre-backs, they can double team the dangerman, Drogba and make life very difficult for him. For that reason, I cannot see anything other than a well-fought and competitive goal-less draw. Will vote later if someone falls behind.

Im going for a charlie win.
I love the way he has bolstered up his defence and all of the defenders are good players.
I really like Frings as a player and i think that Stelios and Pedersen on there day can prove to be a great threat. I also rate carew very highly he is great in the air.
Preki overall has a great squad, but for me simao is much better on the left wing, i dont really like beasley he only has pace, and im sure richards could keep him out of the game. Ballack is a fantastic player as everyone knows but i dont like flamini he is to weak and when ballack goes marching forward i dont feel that flamini could handle things on his own.
Drogba up front is brilliant and he has proven that he can score past any defence so for me he will be the scorer for preki today.
Prediction - 2-1 charlie

I'll go for a 1-0 win to Preki. Like James said, breaking Charlie's defence is going to be extremely difficult, but I can see one of his defenders giving a silly foul, and from that Preki wil get the winner - maybe a Simao free-kick.

A tight affair, this was a match that left most of the fans exhausted after a tense 90 minutes in which both teams were left rueing the opportunities they missed.
Frings started the goal-fest with a cracker from outside the area that left Keller with whiplash as it raced past him into the net. Simao and Ballack tried to provide a response, but some uncharacteristic hurried finishing meant they went into the changing rooms with a one goal deficit.
Riise came on for a disappointing Chiellini and had a massive impace when he sweetly struck a rocket into the roof of Friedel's net from the edge of the area after being set up by Flamini following a lung-busting run down the length of the field.
Ballack then took advantage of a lack of communication in Charlie's central trio and headed in a corner.
It looked like a definite win for Preki's side until Pedersen provided the perfect cross for Carew to loop a hopeful header passed a desperately backpedalling Keller.
Drogba and Aruna then used their understanding at international level to combine to good effect but they were kept at bay by a dogged defensive effort from Boulahrouz. At the death Pedersen almost stole the points with a wonderful freekick effort, but it was not to be and the score remained 2-2.
