Can you help the Captain?

Hello there lads, I'm wondering if you can help me as you have Photoshop skills far in advance of mine.

1. Is there any way for you to take the text off here, just leaving the background as it were? If it is possible would one of you have a crack at it?

2. Can anyone name the font used on the "Records" bit, I've had a look but my eye isn't the best and if you know what it is t'would be much obliged.

You want to remove the bg or the text, I'm not sure which one you want to do?

Sorry, I'd like you to take off all the text and just leave me with the background. However I'd also like the Name of the font used for the "Records" text if you know it. :).

I think "Accidental Presidency" from dafont looks something like that on all caps.

It's not possible to remove the text without leaving blank spaces there if you don't have the psd file.

It's not too hard to do that bg from scratch though.

Isn't is possible to somehow copy the visible background colour and fill the gaps? It would probably involve some kind of blending, I assume.
