Has anybody noticed that there are two edgar davids on the game.

1 plays for Juve- hes called DAVIDS
The other plays 4 the netherlands and is called- DARIT

If u compare them in master league negotiation area, their stats are nearly identical and they look da same as wel.

Can anyone explain this?
Is it to do with Konami havig a license 4 Juventus but not having a license for the natherlands?

Yep, its all to do with licensing. Juventus is licensed therfore Davids is correct. Holland are not licensed, and have incorrect appearances and names for all their players. e.g. Van Mistelroom

but if they have licensing for juve.. then would that mean that they would have licensing for the players... which would in turn mean that Davids would be licensed????

It's the same with Seedorf, the one at AC is better

Van Hooijdonk for feyanoord has slightly different stats to the one at Netherlands

The players are quite similar so it isn't too bad but remember to modify the commentary names in the Dutch team as they seem to be set at number. Most of the names will be there for the club team players (Davids, Stam, van Hooijdonk etc..)

Ronald Koeman's called name is hilarious.
The Japanese addressed him as Long-no Colon.
but of course it is due to licensing (or the lack of).

It all gets a bit complicated in ML, when there are 2 Davids/Seedorfs up for grabs. Haven't tried it but I assume it is possible to buy Davids AND his doppelganger so you have them both playing for your team...spooky...

back to the license issue

its not that you buy a license for the players

you license the league as a whole or the team as whole, regardless of who is on there.

if the team isnt licensed you cant put the likeness of a guy in there....makes sense

I think this whole licensing thing is crap.... I think Konami should try and steal F**A's thunder!!! Konami make way better football games each year!! so why not?

if you got a problem with the two davids/seedorf then in edit mode just register the real players into the national team and get rid of the fake ones.this saves u having to edit their names and looks ie. puttin glasses on the fake davids.

Only the Davids of Juventus is right-footed, and the one of the Netherlands is left-footed ( And in reality his dominant foot is left)

Bosvelt is one of them aswell I think.

He's at Feyenoord and then there is Vofkert I think his name is for Holland.

You can change him if you want but Bosvelt is only in the Holland Squad for the Euro championships because Van Bommel got injured. So if I was you I'd just replace him for another player thats not already in the squad but should be.

Does anyone know why it only seems that Holland has had this done to them as the players for Italy like Del Piero seem to be in the Italy squad ok. Italy aren't licensed but have the licensed players from other teams playing for them. So if what has happened to the players for Holland has happened because of the licensing laws suggested by CtrlAltDel then it should be exactly the same for the Italian players from the teams that are licensed, but its not  . Or any player that plays for a licensed team but plays for a national team like Montero for Uruguay but he is in the national team.

Maybe the team own the players likeness and because the national team has no say they can't decide whether the player is used or not, but then something must be different for the Netherlands.

I found this out about holland players playing for liscenced teams aswell (Stam is another!) I just hope they change it in PES4 or it will be Chaos with the new liscences! Especially with the Dutch league liscenced!
