Welcome to my V2 update of my previous option file. This updates now includes 5 new classic teams, as well as the teams from V1.5, including Classic Chelsea and Arsenal. There are also updated stats and appearences for lots of players and updated kits.

i congratulate your work on classic teams but...did you have to overwrite on so many teams?...as an FC Porto fan, i'm glad you didn't overwrite them....isn't there any other way to include these classic team without overwriting others?...for example...on League C?

Yes but i have already filled up league C, and i didnt want to transfer them over because it takes forever, besides, this is mainly a classic option file!

I am currently playing with your 1.5v, and i admit i love the classic teams, as a villa fan im not sure about classic wolves ;) haha, but i'll probably wait until you do an update for the january transfer window?! if you'll be doing one that is :)

Don't think i am mate, it took me long enough to get this done!

Besides, transfers are the easiest thing to do, try making all these teams!! :)

Transfers on my V2 are updated until 3rd Jan '07 by the way.

mate - i have a bit of a problem - i tried to play classic chelsea v. classic arsenal, but the fc kopenhagen and the other kit still was there instead of the "classic" kits.

I did change the kits ingame, could this be the problem? how do i swich it back? cheers mate.

I wasn't intending to go into that.. but anyway.

Let me remind you that Panathinaikos (here's the spelling for you), reached the European Cup Final back in 1971. Also, they reached the semi-finals in 1985 and 1996, beating Ajax 0-1 in the last game ever played in Ajax's previous stadium, De Meer. In 2002 they reached the quarter finals, back when Champions League had two group league stages.

All that, with virtually unknown players and with the budget always being ridiculously lower than most European respectful teams - and my team isn't even respectful, its Less Than Average Euro Classic Team

I am not saying this level of achievements deserves a Classic Team in PES, no.
But New York Cosmos over Panathinaikos? Again, that hurt.

PS. As a supporter of a less than average team I 'd like to learn the glorious european past of Wolves. Classic Wolves to be exact. Anyone?

Great O/F mate, must have been a lot of late nights, it appealed to me cos i am very old and it was more my era, i did my team, Leeds last year, it was the title winning side of 1968/69 with proper kits and badges, i got the likenesses spot on but thrn had my machine with its memory card nicked!!!...your leeds is very good, thanks for that....roll on ps3 and its hard drive!!!!

wow this looks amazing. i picked up a pirated copy of winning eleven 2000 for ps1 in thailand a few years back, which had been edited to include classic club teams. one of my favourite ever pro evo's that was.

some of those classic club teams are in this option file, but there were some other great teams that were in it that would be great to see in later versions:

70's bayern (basically the 70's national german team)
80's napoli (maradona, careca and a young zola on the bench)
60's inter (fachetti)
50's madrid (de stefano, puskas)
40's torino (apparently the greatest ever italian side, but who all died in an air crash 1949)
80's madrid (burageuneo, valdano)
late 80's inter (matthaus)
60's santos (pele, carlos alberto)
80's roma (falcao)

i've always thought an 80's liverpool side would be good too with souness, dalglish and the rest.

I dont make era clubs, i.e so and so '80, only classic all time teams.


I've still got it so can give you player stats if you want them (although with it being ps1 they aren't full ps2 stats). The best players from most of those teams are in pro evo 6 anyway though. I might be able to find app stats too although all the menus are in Japanese which makes it tricky.

Cracking Option file, I love the Classic Manchester United team with the green and yellow away kit from 1994:cool: also the kit for Classic Holland is great too.

Like Classic AS Roma would be awesome... with the likes of Falcao, Boniek, Batistuta, Aldair, Cerezo, Conti, Voller, Hassler, Tancredi... I can't remember now if those are already on other teams on your OF, though.

If you want, I can do some research, just tell me what exactly you would need... I was thinking to do that anyways to modify the OF I'm using now, if only I wasn't totally clueless about how edit and create stuff in the game.

Yeah thanks. I think I've used a couple emblems but other than that I've redone alot of my and other's players. The same applies to you if you want to improve the current players in your file or when you add some more teams to it.

One other thing, what Newcastle & Inter badges are you using?

I think, but I'm not totally sure, they range from oldest (top left) to newest (lower right), so the one you posted should be the third-to-last that's been used. If I remember correctly, it should be from the beginning of the '90s.

Oh and Juventus is sorely under-staffed... you could put in at least Kohler, he made like 100 matches with Juventus, and he's already in the game so you don't have to create him. If you manage to put other people in, that'd be great!

Also, I know that's your choice, and that I'm quite biased since I know italian teams better, but I'd associate Zidane with Juventus, rather than Real...

I tried to get a better gameplay by editing players.
So I give them all a standard ("basic" in other word) set of... well you know... abillities. That means the rest (with one exception) is left the same but some of abillities are standarized for all of the team players. If I am not understood that really doesn't matter. The point is...
I changed 5 teams in that way.
New York Cosmos (Ol A)
Classic Juventus (Ol A)
Classic Real Madrid (Ol A)
All Star Legends (Other leagues A)
United States (The Americas)
Choose 2 teams of these and play a 5 minute match (longer is getting boring) and tell me if you see the difference, ok? (Everything is in tune. Just play.)

In V2, you put Kenny Sansom's height as 152cm. While it looks extremely amusing to see a 152cm leftback charging forward and delivering crosses, King Kenny certainly ain't that short. I found out for you that his height is 168cm.

For the Classic Arsenal side, did you manage to put in other greats like -- Geordie Armstrong (Early 70s, plays left & right winger, the best player ever not win and England cap, thanks to Alf Ramsey's policy of not using wingers)
- Pat Rice (Late 70s, right back, captained Arsenal to victory in the 1979 FA Cup)
- Ted Drake (1930s, striker, scored 7 goals in a 7-1 away win at Aston Villa, netted 42 goals in 41 league games in 1934/5, boasts higher goals per game ratio than Thierry Henry - 0.76 vs 0.62.

Also, my mate, a United fan, is wondering from which year is the birdlike emblem used for your Classic MU side from. He's suggesting you use the 1968 European Cup winning logo.

Other than that, your patch is absolutely BRILLIANT.

Ive used Liverpool 80's Kit with a 70's type Emblem, and Man utd old kit with the European Cup wiining Emblem of 1968.

I think its more fiting with the 80's shirts, as is the united one.. I think id leave the kits from 1968 if your using teh emblem from 1968, ie:no sponsor and plain shirts... not that im telling you what to do ..lol..

Yeah, you need the PESFAN editor for the PC, which allows you to put a ps2/pc option file on the editor, and edit your file.

Like add emblems/logos. transfer players - everything exept edit strips and apps.

I usually get a pic, then ask my mate to turn it into a PNG pic, that way i can import it using the editor. :)

Or you could get a pic of the Emblem in a grid and make it yourself using the game editor!!

i used to make OF for PES3 and using made up badegs etc myself..then all these type files came out and i was redundant(thank god) still love tweaking my OF's
her is United and Pool kits I made quickly last night.. Used 88-90 Kits, as most of the players came from 80's....

I think the badges depends on the period the kit is, The other badge is more keeping with 80's shirts.. The kit editor on PES6 dont allow to have proper 70's shirts, not even plick necks on kits... I like the one thats there already but think these are suited to kits, thats all...

any chance you can put in soem extra logo's, i see you have FCUM logo..nice one... there seems to be plenty room for extra logo's om your file.. FAI emblem for ireland kit.. its on my other OF on old mem card from another guy's option file, Its d only way ireland will be playing a world cup for anytime soon :)

Maybe both liverpool crests and maybe both uniteds??.. then we can choose which one we prefer to use

I was wondering if someone could do me a classic Bolton Wanderers squad using the kit for used between 1978-80 and the club badge from that era? I know it's a big ask but I reckon this is THE definitive Bolton squad and a big Bolton fan who knows their way around the editing options would possibly be able to help.
