what cheats do you think should hbe in PES 3 .
i think you should be able to unlock an indoor arena or put in
a cheat
any more suggestions?
Zygalski

Since they haven't previously, I don't see anything like that happening.
Maybe we'll have to be content with unlocking players and classic teams (which ain't bad!)
But anything is possible!
I like to idea of being able to select your own goal celebration which I read elsewhere.
Indoor sounds good. Would the ball bounce off the walls?
Can it be for 5-a-side too?

there aint been a indoor game since fifa 97.... and that was great considering! if pes3 had an indoor game it would be bloody fantastic! even if it was just a training mode feature, it wud be great to play indoors, like on a blue pitch or something with the indoor markings and walls....
Why does everbody want a indoor mode??? Its great but i think you must have a complete new engine for play, otherwise I THINK it wouldnt play great. Thats mine opinion. And a option to select your own goal celebration would be great. And what to think about goal celbrations for the crowd. And that you can choose what the crowd has to do when you are going to lose must they be quiet then or support you harder then ever, options like that would be great.
I think there should be manual keepers so aswell as controlling the players you can also control the keeper.
Control thge keeper???!!! I think that will be very difficult to control. I hope that you can control the basic elements like running out and catch a high ball like it is now. When you should dive with your keeper poeh i think that i wouldnt have so much fun. That will be very difficult i think.
What do you think guys?
Ok it would be hard but it would also be fun.
Maybe it should just be an extra option to have it off or on.
OK but i think that not much people are waiting for that, and i also think that it will be a lot of work for konami so i think it isnt in pes3.
I would rather an indoor pitch but everyone has already said that so i chose something a little different.
It would still be a good idea though.
randyman
19-05-2003, 19:47
somebody posted an idea a while back about being the referee
which would be class.
it wouldnt really be too hard for konami to make.
Zygalski

I think some of these ideas are just more additions for the new game rather than cheats.
Here's some ideas for cheats:
1. In the match, if you do a special combo move using a whole lot of buttons, all the opposition playersfall down.
2. Something where the opposition control directions are all reversed for 10 seconds.
3. A super mega shot which pushes the keeper into and through the back of the goal.
4. Special challenge modes where you have a bunch of midget players and have to beat a team of giants (stats are equal).
5. Different ball weights so you can play with a really heavy and slow moving ball as well as a very floaty ball.
6. Scoring by only headers and volleys mode.
7. Kind of a training mode where players have to race against each other over 10, 30, 50 and 100 metres on a straight track or across a pitch. So we can see how much of a difference speed has. (Multiplayer also)
8. Pick a number, 1 to 6. Mode is set so players can only take that many touches and have to pass before reaching the max number or they freeze and lose the ball. (Encourages passing)
9. Play a match where R1 doesn't work.
These can only be used in a sub-section of exhibition mode which is fun, rather than the normal exhibition match.
I wouldnt like that, that unrealistic cheats which you call zygalski.
I hope that their will be no cheats like that put the energy which you put in the cheats in something else.

What i think should be in PES3 is, the Master League should have a goal of the season and also at the end of the season awards should be given to the best goalie, best striker and etc...
What do you think lads and lasses.
Zygalski
19-05-2003, 22:35
What do you mean by that, GFK?
Is that some kind of insult?
They guy asked and I offered some suggestions, of the top of my head.
But like I initially said, things like this probably won't happen so don't worry. They are indeed unrealistic, hence the 'fun' part of it.
Player awards are a good idea but not sure about goal awards.
How would it do that for players? It uses goals and assists at the moment and it gives players ratings out of ten in WE6:FE.
Top average rating for a player over a season could work.
They would have to make it track the number of tackles made for the top defender and passes for a mid or something like that.
It won't work without the numbers.

Lasses?

what about unlockable classic club teams, anyone for a game of footy with bobby charlton and georgey best, i think jinky johnstone and bertie auld are up for it. too make it really cool, put it in black and white, like a FIFA recently, cant remember which one.
indoor would be killer. i mean, the ability to score from your own goal line, wow, peaches and cream man. also, how about street style (kinda dumb) with players in club shirts (away and home) and jeans or something wearing trainers. kind of as an alternative to normal training. just my little world coming to life, where henrik larsson and shaun maloney can take on bobo balde and joos valgaeren at world cuppy.

What about unlocking classic kits? Or Stadia? Or ML teams? New cups and leagues? Diff faces and shoes, etc in the edit mode. New commentary names?
i like the idea of 'player of the season rankings/awards' or any MVP stuff. they would indeed have to keep stats on passing, tackling and shooting percentages (eg 12 successful passes out of 15) in order to rate the players, but it would be great. i vaguely remember a SEGA footie game on the saturn which kept all those statistics...

What about having futbol? Y'know that Brazilian thing with a smaller ball and all. Or is that what everyone is on about with indoor? How about having some unlockable mini games too? Like you have with Tekken Bowl (but obviously footie related!)
Zygalski it was no attack to you mine post. I only saying that i hope that cheats like that wouldnt be in pes3. So dont feel attacked:)
Zygalski

I tried to emphasise the 'fun' aspect of my post and that these new items would not be available in cups and leagues, only the special fun friendlies.
If you don't get it, then forget it.
Lisbon67Seville03
22-05-2003, 00:26
well, i think that those "fun" cheats would have to be kinda, turned on at the options menu, you know. cuz if you wanna play a serious world cup, but u cant cuz the oppostion keeps falling over, then its pretty pointless. but it might be fun to do on two player, like doing a tournament with friends and stuff. its not that bad of an idea actually.
Gooner_Harmer
24-05-2003, 00:02
Unless I'm wrong there have never actually been 'cheats' as such in the game. Hidden items and secrets such as the 'Indoor Arena' would be brilliant. Who knows?!
Lisbon67Seville03
24-05-2003, 01:20
indoor arena shouldnt be hidden, and you should be able to challenge teams to a training match in ML, you know. unlimited subs, repeatable subs(like henry being brought off for shevchenko, and then henry being brought on to replace raul), no refs, training ball, that kind of stuff.

Maybe someone could rip the environment of that ship from the Nike secret tournament 3-a-side footie game and make it bigger and then replace one of the game pitches with that.
Or the cage itself perhaps.

I don't agree with you 'fun' cheats, some are quite good the others I wouldn't like at all, such as the falling down of the opposition.

You could turn on and off whichever you like.

I particularly like the maximum-number-of-touches idea. This could come in handy in multiplayer co-operation games, like 2 vs 2. It would ensure everyone gets a decent amount of the ball, instead of one player attempting to run past everyone. Also, it would make you a much better player, as tricks and skills are very fun and all, but you're more likely to score from out-passing an opponent. :)

Why does it sound like you're having another dig, Gooner?

I never said I wanted them in my game either.
It does seem like you have a truly negative approach to most things.

Once again I never said that you wanted them in your game, I said I did not wan't them In mine. Maybe if your ideas were used in a seperate game style. Such as 'fun games' or something which would be used to 'muck around' then sure, but I would not wish to see some of those ideas. It is not negativity more just my thinking. Accept it, not everyone will agree with you in life.
One more thing did I not say, that I thought it was good you took the time to make up your own ideas?

This is the last I have to say on this subject.
Gooner, I am not here to argue with you.
You are in the wrong and you persist with your silly side of it.
Everyone seems to be able to see it but you.
The fact is that you jump into the middle of many topics without reading what has gone on beforehand and then ask people to repeat what is going on which is not only disrespectful to everyone who has written in that topic but also rude. So stop doing it.
And you then go and diss the efforts and ideas of others when you offer nothing to most of the discussions, merely moaning and complaining.
If you believe something is incorrect feel free to reply but putting others down all the time is not the right thing to do.
Your offer to two people to help improve their English has to be some deep form of irony as your use of language and spelling is woeful. Not to mention your lack of writing a sensible or complete sentence which is often a cause for misunderstanding which leads to further arguing.
Stop your bitchy whining. If you don't have anything positive to add, it's better not to write anything.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions even if they don't comply with your own so stop putting down others and their points of view. And cut out the efforts at snide personal insults.
It is possible to produce constructive criticism but you haven't quite grasped how to do this.
If you want to argue some more, open a thread in the 'Testing / Advertising' section where it won't bother anyone else.
And Gooner, if you cut into the middle of a topic with more ignorance, don't be surprised if you are ignored.
You're just a childish and arrogant attention-seeker so grow up and realise that the world actually doesn't revolve around you and your opinions alone.

here here zygalski. well said. lets go back to the actual topic. does anyone think that cheats would be appropriate for PES? i mean, football games arent exactly ones for cheating.
Zygalski
25-05-2003, 03:18
I do not think cheats are appropriate and the PES/WE games are serious football simulations so they probably won't turn up in them.
I wouldn't want them, but there could be an option for them for when you want to mess around.
Would it be possible to have stuff like that built into a patch?

You are always in the right? That's not true and you know it.
You made some ideas I disliked them and I said so, what is wrong with this?

How many topics have I 'jumped into?', very few actually. At first I mis-worded what I needed to say in order to get the right reply.
It is not disrespectful to jump into a topic, as you yourself do not always read my replys properly, it therefore seems your a bit too quick to judge others.

What personal insults would these be? As far as i'm concerned what I say is for a reason. If you won't to argue some more add me on MSN and I will duly oblige with your request. You don't deserve constructive criticism and without doubt you cannot tell the difference between insulting and constructive criticism. I pity you.

Each to their own I suppose. Although rather than you who obviously believe 'dissing' is an appropiate way to sort out arguments, I prefer to discuss things. I have never for one second in my life believed the world revolves around myself, unlike you obviously.
Again name calling is the lowest form of intelligence, but I suppose you obviously know no better. Shame really.
My opinions are my entirely, it takes you to begin to moan over them not me. It's a case of if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it, simply because you can disregard my opinion like many others will, or you can choose to argue, I guess I know which one you decided.
You obviously believe you are right, so be the bigger man and ignore me. I honestly do not give a damn. On the other hand if you continue to insult me, in the same way you fell I insult you, then lets sort out the problem.
Don't let my age be a barrier for you. Talk to me on MSN if you believe this is now a real life issue.

Gooner, I think you'll find this won't be settled. Both of you seem to be directing the same points of criticism at each other, you're both saying the other one moans. Big deal. Let's not get all over-excited about it, like it was a Roll-Over Jackpot or something. Calm down.
And Gooner, I'm afraid adding in little "I pity you's" in the end of your points is just asking to be picked up on. That is an insult. Then again, I s'pose "I pity you" is constructive criticism? Who can't tell the difference now?

JEEEEEEESSSSSSSUS!!!
Do u guys put this much effort into ur Pro Evo playing????
Cos DAMN!! if u do i wouldn't like to play against u!
or even worse win against u, i'd never here the end of the complaints!u all need to chill, the whole topic of this is about cheats and cheats tend to be stupid like makin all the players have giants heads and small bodies n makin the ball a giant ball (like the one used in the france world cup opening ceremony, u know the one where they all pushed it into a giant goal n it was supposed to symbolise... well scoring a goal) everyones taste of cheats is not the same but i think some here are in the wrong topic area. Making serious comments on improvements to the game shouldn't be in here. I want indoor football jus like everyone else or even beach football for that matter but i wouldn't want it to be a cheat or even hidden feature it should jus be part of the game.
So to summarise chill, chill, chill! don't bitch like little girls or even worse like arsene wenger! "we're still the best team in the league! bitch bitch bitch moan moan moan"

No-one I have ever played PES2 with has any problem with the way I am. I am equally quiet after a win or a defeat. There is usually a hand-shake, a "good game" and then onto the next match.
It may sound hard to believe but to know for sure you'd probably have to play me some time.
PESTAL beckons!
Or maybe someone can arrange some kind of tournament between people here.

Me? Yes normally. I have been known to play Sol Campbell upfront in an attack to win the long balls in the last 15 mins ;).
My favourite tactics are:
4-3-3, 4-3-2-1, 4-2-4 or 4-1-3-2.
It depends on the quality of the opposition and the players I have.
In LONDON!!!

i was kidding mate, dont worry.
Cheats would ruin the game, if footballers/managers/refs cheated in the proper game it would be a disgrace, so they shouldn't make a great football game and then ruin it with cheats!
