I managed to convert it to play in american version of PES 6, Compulsion's PES editor doesnt work with american files yet.

Edit mode is way different in we/pes 2007, all faces are messed up, Konami really screwed us up this time, why didnt they use the same editor for both versions like they did with WE9I and PES 5? Well, I tried my best guys, at least, you have now 100% real kits, names, teams, and stats, the only solution I see is, try and edit faces yourselves, or, lets wait for compulsion's PES editor, maybe something got lost when I converted the file.

Not only the faces are messed up in this OF, but also teams in league C are all messed up. There are players like player1, player2... throughout the entire league C with all 60 stats although the teams seem to have correct emblems and team names.

Why does Konami have to mess up the North American version? I am so disappointed now that I don't have any OF to play with. Would it be impossible for someone to make a decent OF file for our version?

Anyway thanks pategano for your effort to provide us a decent OF. It just sucks that your effort is wasted... Is there anyway you can improve this OF? Even all correct players in league C would be a nice improvement. I don't expect to change all the faces since it's just too much time consuming, but could you at least restore league C and post the OF?

I waited a year for this game, but now I don't wanna even play the game with default OF. It just sucks...

Sign me up on that project Mad Flava, I'll give you all the help you need, plus, we can start work on we/pes 2007 any time you want, I know how to use the PES 6 editor with we/pes 2007 even though compulsion hasnt released an editor compatible with it. Theres a tool called ps2 save builder, thats our key to use pes6 editor with we/pes 2007. Keep in touch man.

Sweet this is excellent news. My copy of WE2007 doesn't ship until Monday but once I have it I will definitely be willing to help contribute to the creation of an option for WE07. I hope compulsion can do something about importing PES6 optionfiles so they work with WE07 but if that doesn't happen at least we have an editor that will work properly with our optionfiles. So far, it looks like the major work that will need to be done will be editing the faces. By dividing the work load, I think we could have a good optionfile pretty soon.

For example, pategato said that kahn had face 60 on PES6 and 68 on WE:PES2007, someone could come up with a list similar to that, and when we have all the faces translated, Compulsion can make a separate editor for the american version, with changes such as letting us change the face # on the editor and creating an algorithm when we transfer PES6 players. The algorithm would consist of something like "when face # =60, change to 68".

Maybe it sounds to hard but i don't see any other easier option for us in america.

Ok, I finally got the game, any one with a preset face is pretty much screwed up. After taking a look, its not that bad. I'm using Pescrazy's file and most of the custom players have created faces. So one thing I figured out to help me fix most of the faces quickly is to make a save of the regular untouched default option file and use that to import the appearances. I've taken pescrazy's optionfile and imported just the looks for the whole manchester united team and it worked. It may take a while using this method but it will be quicker than using the in game editor. I think one of difficulties I will have will be fixing the unlicense players that have preset faces in the game like for instance Klose. I'll need help with this. Otherwise, if I work hard all week, I should have a bunch of it fixed by next weekend.

Our world soccer V.2 will be out shortly for PES 6, to make it fully compatible with WE 2007 Im gonna do this: convert it to use with WE 2007 using PES Editor, then use the list of preset faces for PES 6 and go to in-game WE 2007 editor and default all the players in that list, that should do it, will take some time, but, I like WE 2007 better than PES 6 (I have both), and I know american players will like our file a lot, so it'll be worth the effort.

Let us know what we can do to help. I've done something similar, using the PES editor and the default WE2007 optionfile and importing the appearances only. Of course the only problem is that there are so many people that have preset faces. But in the short time that I tried and fixed England and Man Utd.

I agree, I'm really enjoying the gameplay of WE2007 from last years game, after playing it I don't think I can go back to WE9 at all. The players control with more response this year.

You still have a ps2? if so, go buy a max drive ($30) and that ps2 memory card to ps3 transfer device ($20) use your ps2 and max drive to transfer the file to your memory card, then, transfer the file from the card to your ps3 with the transfer device. Sorted. Half the money. LOL.

I traded my PS2 for a PS3 last month and when I remembered that I still need a PS2 to run the MAX drive software to uncrush the option file I was extremely upset. I tried to use the MAX drive with the PS3 which does not work.

So what I did, I went to buy a PS2 console for $130, I opened the PS2 and using the MAX software I uncrushed the file (Option file for PES 6. I forgot that does not work with WE2007) and put it into my PS3.

I will return the PS2 to where I bought it and if they asked me for a restock fee (15%) which is 18 bucks, I won't mind because it is money well spent in getting the option file working into the PS3.

When pategato releases the Option File for WE2007 I will uncrush it and try to see if I can put it back in the USB flash drive uncrushed.

However I do not know or remember if as I said, I can put back with the MAX software the uncrushed Option file back into the USB drive, so I can plug it into my PC and post it.

If someone can refresh my memory if I can do this, I will post the Option file that pategato will release.

Well, I have one that is about 70-80% fixed. Will that hold you over? Just give my your email and what format you want it in (xport or max drive). I myself have stopped work on it because patego's optionfile has the teams that I want (I can care less about the complete German League)

I was able to get an option file uncrushed onto my ipod to try and transfer to my PS3 but wasn't able to remove it from my ipod since it wasn't a movie, song, or photo. Could this be because I'm using an ipod or because the .psv file can't be recognized as anything by the PS3?

It seems that we have to do the match-up work again. I've done this several times for PES6 english edition, thus i'm quite familiar with those faces. In pes2007 we 've got a little bit more new faces in Argentina, Portugal, Japan and so on. That's why in the orginal PES6 option face numbers has screwed up in PES2007. What i need now is the true icons and kits of the club teams, with which i could do the editing job right now.

With my experience, i've got only PS2 though, if you want to transfer OF between the USB flash stick and your memory cards, you have to get ready for 2 memory cards, max drive and your flash stick.

first of all, download the .max file into your USB flash stick on the computer.

Second, launch the max drive on the ps2/3, uncrush the .max file to either of your memory card for the download of the option files from the internet.

Third, you want to upload the files to the USB flash stick, so you have to use the max drive to crush the files from one memory card to the other, of course you have to make sure of the receiving card has enough space for the crushed files in advance.

Fourth, use the function of "COPY TO" in max drive to copy the crushed files to the USB flash stick from the receiving memory card for upload. And remove the unnecessary crushed files in memory card managing system from the PS.

P.S. never use the "paste" function for files transaction, for it'll lead to some problems in opening the OF in the games.

Can't wait until pategato's file is finished. While he's working on it, I've decided to update my option with updated/correct appearances for all the classic team players and classic shop players.

Pategato, if you want, I can send you my optionfile with classic players with corrected appearances if you want to put them into your optionfile. So far I've done all of Classic England and a bunch of the other stars. I should be done with the appearances by weeks end if I pour all my freetime into it.

BTW, I've notice when playing a game in the second half the clock counts from 0 to 45+ minutes. Anyway I can change it so it counts from 45 to 90+. I always prefer the full 90 minutes style of presentation.

I haven't had any luck, but am praying for a hero to do the convert when the legend pategato drops it like its hot with the new option file. I figure if someone manages to do the uncrush on the ps2, then loads the OF into a ps3, they can just pop it on USBs and share it.
If someone can do this, I can also give them a memory card reader for the ps2 to ps3 transition (because I dont have a ps2 [former xbox head] and no max drive either).

i had someone put a ps2 option file onto a ps3 using the ps2 to ps3 adaptor. They then took the save off the ps3 and sent it to me. i loaded the save which was now in .psv form using a usb drive onto my ps3. it worked fine.

He said he'd do it again for me so once this new file is ready (when is that ?) I'll send him the link and once its ready i'll post it here.

even if the classic teams are unlocked, then you're going to have to deal with it because pategato has done enough and i doubt he'll turn classic teams into u20, he has done enough already.

For those of you playing PES 2007 on a PS3, there will be a PS3 version available for download shortly after he posts Version 2. It will be included along with the other files.

All you will need is some way to get it onto your PS3. There are many ways; USB drive, CD-R, DVD-R, PSP. And if you have a 60GB PS3, you can use a SD card or Memory Stick Pro Duo.

i came across an easy way to get all of the default player appearances in the pategato & goalgerd World Soccer v.1 option file, so i figured i'd share it with you all. however, if some one already mentioned this, please forgive me.

with the pategato & goalgerd World Soccer v.1 option file saved on one memory card, save the default, untouched option file onto another memory card. have the pategato & goalgerd World Soccer v.1 option file in the 1st memory card slot and the default, untouched option file in the 2nd memory card slot. start the game up and go to edit under the we pes 2007 main menu. from there go to:

1.) save data management
2.) edited data manager
3.) load
4.) player data
5.) all teams
6.) parameters
7.) copy

once this is complete, you should have all of the kits, player names, team names, etc. from the pategato & goalgerd World Soccer v.1 option file but with all of the default faces.

as a said above, if any one already mentioned this...sorry. if not, good luck and enjoy.

however, this can be fixed using the same method that i described above.

I'm only using preset faces for the people that have actual faces in the game, like Bierhoff, Redondo, and Zola. I've use the PES6 preset face guide to help me find the correct WE/PES 2007 preset face for the classic and shop players that have their faces in the game. All the other Classic Players that do not have an actual face I'm using the custom face builder.
So far, I have all of Classic Argentina, Classic Brazil, and Classic England finished. I should have Classic France done soon. Most of the major stars on Classic Germany, Classic Netherlands, and Classic Italy finished. I'm also working on the appearance for the shop players also. I have Shearer (face is a preset in game), Best, Law, Puskas, Di Stefano, Romario all done already. I hope to have France done, along with most of the shop players done by tonight.

Let me know how I can get you my optionfile. I can either post it for download or I can email it to you.

Yeah, the special hairstyles are in the game, we just don't have an interface to select them. I've emailed Compulsion to see if he can add to his editor, a way that we can select special hairstyle for a player when we edit their stats. We won't be able to see what we are selecting but it's better than nothing. If he does this, we can work on a special haircut guide to describes each haircut.

Yep, Barca's kit is edited in PES 6 version, but it's defaulted in WE2007 version, we used that free logo slot to include another sponsor we were missing.

Beggars can't be choosers, however it would be so much better if all Classic and shop players were done away with like Watson's file did last year. I'd much rather have young players and players from other leagues than have Classic Brazil or classic players like Eusebio.

Hey Zelao, in the optionfile I sent pategato, I rebuilt a whole bunch of the faces even Romario. The Romario in my option file has a completely custom face. At first I gave him his haircut from 1994 but I then realize that he is still playing because his age is 40 and his stats are not in his prime. So I updated his hair cut to match the one he sports now.

Those teams are generated by the computer, they're not selectable, and due to this, non editable.

Pategato, Thank you for thinking about us, owners of a PS3 because I traded my PS2 for the new console. I have the MAX drive but it does not work with PS3.

I bought a PS2 just to uncrushed the file and then return it to the store. I only had 14 days to return it and I just did today.

It would be great to have a PS3 version. Are there any other PS3 owners who support the release? please! let pategato know.

I like this one alot because it offers much more space for more saves, and you can get it for under $20 at any best buy or target, i got my at best buy for $17.

Hi,

I am new in this forum and I am very interested in knowing about WE PES 2007 Option File. I bought my PS2 game (still waiting for it to arrive) and I have been thinking of buying one of those Max Drive. However, I am not so sure how it works!

By reading other posts, I have learned that there are at least two highly recommended drives: a. the Datel Max Drive USB Flash and b. the Action Replay Max Drive (EVO something). I have looked online and I found those with a price ranging from USD30 to USD40. How does the Max Drive work? I mean, once I get the drive, how can I copy the OF from my PC to the drive and then copy it to my PS2? Is this process pretty straight forward? When you buy the drive, is there any installation CD that comes with it?

I kind of have an idea that PES6 OF will not work for WE PES 2007, but don't understand the different versions for the max drives (sometimes they say US version, sometimes Japanese version, and so on).

Can someone please explain me how these drives work and give me some suggestions. I don't want to play the game with the default option file.

You will need to download Compulsion's PES 6 editor. Then using the editor you will need to open a WE2007 OF first (just transfer a default option file from WE7 from your memory card to your computer). Then using compulsions editor open the PES6 option file you are interested in using the OF2 option. This feature allows you to import data from a second optionfile to your first. Then look for the option in the menus that is Convert O2 > OF1. This option imports everything from OF2 to OF1. Since OF1 is a WE2007 option file it will remain one but have all the data from you PES6 optionfile. Just note, that all the preset faces will be screwed up if in your WE2007 optionfile. This is because Konami added new faces and the presets designations are now different for most players.

Ok, on Compulsion's site there is a section for useful links. You need to the program that lets you convert Max drive to Xps. I think Compulsions editor only reads Xps.

Once you have you option file in xps format then do what I describe above. If you are having trouble with I could do the conversion for you.

Hey I downloaded the optionfile and took a look at it and there are no brazilian club teams other than Sao Paulo. Not sure it that's an error or not.

It's not an error
What he did was:
- fix player names
- fix club names
- fix stadium names and league names
- Pes-Shop with corrected names
- Updated transfers
- Kits for unlicensed clubs
- Updated looks for certain players
- NO created or modified players
- Updated formation for teams

Oh man... that's so disaponting. The guy who edited that file made the logos of some brazilian teams, but didn't created the teams. :|

I'll have to spend some more time looking for a correct file again.
When I get that, I'll sure post it here.

I found a file with Brazilian Teams. That's for sure. The thing is that it's a WE10 OF. I couldn't make the change from the japanese version to the american version (WE2007).

Does anyone how to do that? (WE10 to WEPES2007)
