Help the hopeless...!!!

So, i just received my Max Drive and cant wait to pimp my PES. However, it kinda seems im retard at this. Now i figured out how to do it (i think so), and i've inserted both the MAX and the ps2 management device to my ps2. But my precious console tells me to insert a ps or ps2format disc. I bought my ps2 from some guy from my high school years ago and i dont have this format disc. So, do i need to borrow it from a friend or something, or can i go another way around? Again, im a retard at this kinda stuff, so i might need more help with the OF once i get past this format disc problem. So please feel free to hurl your expertise at me, and spare me of the ridicule and funny remarks about my obvious retardedness :)

Try and reset your ps2 a couple of times with the disc in it, this may help. I have to do it almost every time...
The ps or ps2 format disc message means that your console isn't recognising your maxdrive disc.

What I find is that I have to put the disc in first without the MAX Drive plugged in. I usually plug the MAX Drive in after the disc has been recognized by the PS2.

First off, sorry starting this thread the wrong place.

Second, thanks for the help all, i now succesfully copied the option file to my mem card...however, and as i predicted i still have some problems. When i start PES, it wont read the option file from the mem card, and i have to load it from the PES options menu. Then im able to play with all the edited team, which looks really need! But everytime i try to save something an error occurs and im not able to save anything at all.

Can someone tell me what the hell is wrong?

you have to uncrush the file onto ur memory card from ur max drive.

Place you ps2 upside down, no matter how that sounds, it definately helps ;)
