Friday 2nd March, 8pm UK time.
The time above is when you may start purchasing players that were released by managers in the last transfer window and are still without a club. In other words, most of the players that you'll find in the "Released Players 2006/07" thread.
If you want a free agent who is not part of any squad, and were not signed during the last window, use the usual method of posting a thread in the "Player Values" section with their name in the thread title, and they will be given a fee asap, but please be patient. You will have 48 hours to make your decision, following their fee being set, so you don't need to panic about losing out on them if they haven't been given a fee almost immediately. Likewise, this also opens at 8pm.
If you need an example of how this thread will work, check out the Free Agents threads in the Archive section, but this should sum it up:
You cannot pick more than one player per post.
You have to wait for another person to post before signing another player.*
Posts before 8pm will be deleted, and the signing(s) will be void.
*Once the activity has died down, we may announce that you can then start signing more than one released player per post
D1 managers are allowed a maximum of 2 free transfers.
D2 & 3 managers are allowed a maximum of 3 free transfers.
There will be a 48 hour time limit. By 8pm on Sunday, this thread will be closed.
The thread will be opened shortly before the window opens.

You can start signing players in around 50 minutes (8.00) Remember to use the forum clock, not what it says on your watch or computer.
A reminder that this thread is only for the acquisition of players that were released in the last transfer window.
All other free agents should be signed in the usual method, by starting a thread about them in the 'Player Values' section.
I'll be updating this post in a short while, to contain a list of players that I believe are available on free transfers, and can be signed in this thread.

I'm not 100% they are all available, so if there's any that you want, it's best to check the squad lists to confirm.

Only the players from the last transfer window who were released are available on free transfers. You'd have to sign Pedretti in the usual method of posting in the Player values section, and he'd cost whatever his last value was.

I'm afraid he's not available on a free transfer. Only players who were released in the last transfer window are available free of charge. To sign him, you'd have to go through the usual free agent process in 'Player Values'.
PEM, you can release players, but it's not a good idea if you want to sign other free agents, as you can use their value to lower the costs.
