Good work, PEM.

Never been overly keen on Robert Green, but McBride was a good addition to the squad.

As you weren't aware of the ruling you might want to take Proto and Smolarek back, as you could use their values to lower the cost of free agents, should you want any.

I like Smolarek's hair, by the way. Might have to try that style someday

"im am happy with the move. it was my desion to move and Birmingham City were happy for me in the end. they wished me well and i know i will have no regrets in this move. i had liked my time at Birmingham but it was time to move on to other things. i would like to thank steve for all his support he has given me and hopefully my new gaffer will do the same. 2-0 is the score

http://www.soccercoachinginternationa l.com/images/trainers/sam-allardyce.jpg

another loss for the PEX and Big sam is running out of ideas. PEX were dominated throught the game they never had had chance on goal.

Sam had this to say
"this was my second game in charge so i dont really mind the loss, but the thing is when we dont have a good chance against the other side, then we know something must change, so i am going to change the formation when we play Wellzy, but against DP it will be the same formation thank you."

Portugal's under 21 defencive midfelider and captain Miguel Veloso joins Planet express for a trade deal. Miguel Veloso was releaced by figo and Planet express manager Sam Allardyce did not take long to capture the young starlet.

He was traded in for the "un used" Nery. Sam Allardyce had said
" Nery had no future at my club, so i had to releace him.so the opportunity came when Veloso was releaced, the opportunity was too good to miss.

Velso had just came back from a dissapointing under 21 championships in Holland, we got to speak to him when he got back, he could not speak English very well so here is a translated version

"i am pleased to join for Planet Express, i hope to get them higher in the table as they had a dissapointing season last year. I will play to my very best and hope to play every game possible, and mabe we can even win the title. we will never know. Thank you.

ITS A NEW SEASON!

http://cimg2.163.com/sports/2006/10/17/200610170012095a356.jpg

The new season is about to kick off on Friday 24th August for all D3 teams. Sam Allardyce hopes that this season can go better than last seasons poor finish of 7th.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/64/Gekas.jpg/200px-Gekas.jpg
He has signed in some great stars like the 27 year old star Theofanis Gekas who was a goal machine for VfL Bochum scoring 20 goals in just 30 games becoming top scorer of the league.

http://www.uefa.com/ml/images/players/ucl/220X220/70090.jpg
He has also got some good youth in like young starlet Miguel Veloso who had taken part in the under 21 championships and had a good tournament whilst he was in Holland.

http://www.football.co.uk/shared/images/players/players_115786.jpghttp://images.teamtalk.com/07/02/190/McSheffrey_198941.jpg
But there always have to be cuts, and Sam Allardyce sadly had to drop the 2 former Birmingham city lads, Gary Mcsheffrey and Fabrice Muamba. This was released just after the 10 o' clock deadline on the 22nd August but then Sam Allardyce was given special permission to release them just slightly after 10pm for special reasons. Sam felt(also the general Public) that they were the 2 weakest players in the team, so they had to do to get the squad into the limitations.

http://www.4thegame.com/media/00/03/65/allardyce_sam_bwfc_profile_200 7.jpg
We had gotten and Interview with Sam here is what he had to say
" The new season begins tomorrow, i will hopefully like to start of with a win as so do obviously the other managers. I think i have brought some bright and great players into this club to fight against a low position like last season. If every player plays to there full potential then i know we can get this club far and maybe even closer to the promotion spots. I have had to make a few hard decisions, like yesterday with releasing Gary and Fabrice, but thats the job, if you cant make decisions then your not cut for the job. on that note, good luck to all manager. Thank you"

1st half of the season....

Oh God shouts Simic

http://www.ajaxonline.org/stekelenburgsneeuw.jpg
[MBV's keeper celebrates with his great Performance.]
It was a 3-1 defeat for Fc Planet Express against MBV Arkestra FC at the St Andrews, but the scoreline does not justify this spectacular game. The game kicked off well for Planet Express they kept majority of the possession. The ball was kept up the field as Arouna Kone was showing he was no push over by troubling MBV’s defense with his pace and flair. Itwasn’t long until yes that man, Arouna kone got the ball just outside the box turned in a belted one into the roof of the goal in the 19th minute of the game. 1-0 planet express. After the first goal only 2 chances were made by either side, Gekas had a great chance to make it 2-0 after 24 minutes but he just hit it wide. Eider Gudjohnsen also had a chance just outside of the box but hit it narrowly wide after 40 minutes in the game, Planet Express’s defense looked like it had an opening. Then just before the end of the first half, in the 42nd minute Chevanton had put MBV back in the game with a neat cool little finish into the bottom left corner beating Neimi to it. End of the first half 1-1.The game kicked off both teams looking determined to get the goal to lead.No chances were really created in the second half it was just some wayward shooting by both teams out side the area. All of a sudden Planet Express defense got caught napping when Eider Gudjohnsen had made a great solo effort to turn the defense and keeper to take MVB into the lead after 79 minutes. 2-1 to MBV.Planet Express then went gung ho attacking at MBV trying to get the equalizer, but MBV went ultra defensive trying to keep this lead. It worked until the 83rd minute when Gekas was fouled in the area for a penalty. Veron stepped up to take the Penalty and put all his power into the top right hand corner but a great save from Maarten Stekelenburg denied Planet Express to equalize. The game looked over, as it went into stoppage time, until Simic attempted a 20 yard backpass, but Niemi thought the full time whistle had already been blown, and was on his way back to the changing rooms. The ball trickled agonisingly into the net. 3-1 MBV.

1st point Express

http://www.sport-times.de/localdata/dpa-sportsline/dpa-SportsLine-images/Gekas_14220162.onlineBild.jpg
[Gekas happy with his 2nd half display]
Planet Express get their first point of the season from coming behind 2 goals down and making it level by the end of the game.It did not start well for planet express and Rafa game hard and fast with Elano controlling the midfield battles. He had many opportunity's and was unlucky not to convert one into a goal.Elano's luck came just before then end of the first half(41st min) when he cracked one from 30 yards out into the roof of the net. The goal was expected and Planet Express would have had been lucky to go into the 2nd half at 0-0.The second half began and Planet Express looked to have a spring in their step. They looked to have ore possession when a bad pass was cut out and when Alvez pounced on it to shatter Planet express in the 50th minute.Planet Express then looked slightly down for the next few minutes when they looked sluggish. Then when Gekas found a loose ball and converted it into the back of the net in the 84th minute, it looked as if Planet express were going to get another one just before it ended to salvage a point.Planet express threw them selfs at them with runs going forward. Gekas did an amazing run into the box and was tripped to win a penalty. Gekas converted and salvaged a point for Planet Express in the 89th minute.Gekas was named man of the match with his Superb second half performance.

"It all ended after 50"

[Tamudo Wins it for Bammers]
Planet express take an embarrassing result against Bammers of which the score was 4-2.The game started off well for Planet Express as Gekas showed why he is a class player and netted one after just 13 minutes. But soon after in the 19th Minute Raul Tamudo Banged in a built header of a superb cross from Tim Cahill. But They did not stop their as Tonetto scored soon after.Planet express went into the Break 2-1 down.Bammers looked lively as they had put in 2 attacks within the first few minutes from the restart. A goal was bound to come as Cahill hit a screamer into the top right hand corner.Something looked good for Planet Express as Srna latched onto a header from a corner to make it 3-2 to show some life in this game for Planet Express. But bammers still wouldent stop with attack after attack Planet Express look awful as Tamudo added a second to make it 4-2 after just 67 minutes. They kept onto this lead and the match finished 4-2 to bammers.

1 more point

http://www.carling.com/media/player_images/player-image-78622.jpg
[MOTM-leighton Baines.]
Another point tally's onto the table for PEX. The game started off good for PEX as they looked strong away from home. They looked as if they had some order in the team as Baines on the left hand side of the pitch was controlling the game. Baines then had put in a great cross from a free kick to fall straight to jermain jenas's head to make it 1-0 after the 20th minute. The gamed looked Planet Express's as they went in for the second half. They game continued and surprisingly PEX did not concede straight after the restart. they looked solid for the next 35 mins but intill a loss in concentration let Gallardo get the leveler and it ended the game 1-1

Can they ever win?

http://www.soccerfiesta.net/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/roque_santa_cruz.jpg
[Santa cruz punches air as he scores]
In an amazing 6 goal match Planet express yet again fail to win and pick up a point. The game kicked off where PEX looked sluggish and they were punished for it as Renato netted one in the 10th minute. PEX woke up and Santa Cruz found the net after 28 minutes. They went into the second half all square. Once again PEX did not let one in straight after the break as jermain Jenas scored just 4 minutes into the second hlaf. Bendtner replyed with a brilliant solo effort in the 59th minute to make it 2-2. Planect Express when gung ho and it worked as frei latched onto a keeper mistake to make it 3-2 it looked over then but it was a big mistake as MarkM's Garrido scored one late on to finish the game to a 3-3 tie.

zzzzzzzzz what was the score?

[Pienaar scores the only goal]
This game was a bore after the 12th minute as Pienaar game Calzone an early lead. The game never got going as both teams were just hoofing the ball around no real chances were created a poor performance by both teams

No surprise as Original? dominates

http://www.dr.dk/NR/rdonlyres/3E1F0518-873D-46A8-96CE-137AD0BFA2A6/382052/20061122220129401.jpg
[Angulo scores]
A not so surprising 4-1 thrashing to planet Express. The game looked all originals as they dominated play and possession. it wasent long beofre rocchi scored in the 15th minute and then not long after Angulo made it 2-0. After the break Planet express looked better but not good enough as Angulo dazzled the defense and scored what could be the goal of the season with an outstanding run. Planet express got one back though as the man in form Santa Cruz got a prize goal to put him on the top scorers list, But to rap it all up Crespo finished it off with a neat little finish to make the final score Original 4-1 PEX

Not a win yet?.....

[koller scores]
another game another loss for PEX. this time against Nath. the game looked good for both teams but neither could covert. Untill the 35th minute where koller scored a header from inside the box. Then in another quick attack they made it 2-0 with Maduro scoring a easy tap in. The game then looked dull from then on and the game finished 2-0 to Nath.

Oh my PEX have won a game!

[Veron waves]
PEX win their first game of the season with a 3-1 win over wan :wan:. the game kicked off and veron scored quickly in the 8th minute of the game. PEX once again dominated and Plasil scored in the 22nd minute and the game looked over at that point. The second half began and both teams got a penalty and scored from them frei converted his and so did doyle. 3-1 PEX

Top gunning

http://soccernet-akamai.espn.go.com/images/european/holland/Nistelrooy_JW.jpg
[RVN happy after he scores.]
top gun demolishes planet express 1-4 in the WCL. Planet express lost as expected by many pundits but as a conciliation they got a goal. The game had goals in it imediately when Rudd van Nistelrooy and Bent hit the net within the first 20 minutes of the game. it looked over already. Top gun dominated the game and got another just before the break when Lucio scored a header. 3-0 at the break. The fans started to leave early but they had missed out a goal from no other than theofanis Gekas who has been on top form this season. the game stayed 3-1 untill the 82nd minute when ben arfa killed the game making it 1-4 to top gun

Another Game in the WCL and PEX fail to get anything out of it. The game looked square in the first half as neither team looked to challenge the goalkeepers. The second half was different as Yossi came back attacking and it was not long before dean ashton scored in the 70th minute to kill the game. Yossi totally deserved to win this game and Ashton should be happy with his goal. 1-0 yossi.

not much peace for PEX

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/41241000/jpg/_41241652_nolan416.jpg
[nolan celebrates his goal]

They meet each other again but this time in the peace cup. MBV win 2-0 but there was not much peace in this game as they returned. the first half looked tight where tackles were fierce but the cards stayed in pockets. it was a battle in the center of the pitch. it stayed 0-0 in the first half. MBV were then given a team talk and as everyone knows PEX are prone to let in goals straight after the restart and today was no different as they conceded 2 in 1 minutes Nolan and Gudjohnsen sealing it. PEX tried to attack but the MBV's defense stood strong and saw the game to the end. final score 2-0 MBV.

http://www.cbc.ca/sports/worldcup2006/images/stars/santacruz_roque050903getty.jpg
[Santa finds his feet]
1-1 in this game and honors were even in a pretty good match. Many chances were around and Bendtner found his magic touch with a great volley into the top corner mid way into the first half. The second half had started and Sam made a few changes and brought santa Cruz on. With his first touch Santa Cruz got his goal in the 46th minute. The game then stayed level and both teams should be happy with their result.

Santa came to town again!

[Santa finds his feet once more]
1-1 again in the Peace cup for planet express, this time against Rafa. No goal were scored in the first half as neither teams had any great chances. In the second half santa cruz had missed a sitter but luckily he got the rebound from the keeper to score in the 60th minute. Planet express were holding on and looked like getting the 3 points untill pazzini score a late goal in the 87th minute to make the game a tie.

a loss but good signs

http://sportard.wdr.de/sp/fussball/news200612/18/img/17_gekas_dpa_400.jpg
[Gekas scores]
A 7 goal thriller in the Peace cup as this game went to the wire. the game kicked off quickly and maduro socred early in the 20th minute to make it 1-0. Gekas then looked sharp and did not take long to reply and socre 11 minutes after to make it 1 all. The game then was fast and furious and it went that way into the break. Straight after the break Lincoln was give and penalty and he score from it to make it 2-1! Lita then came on to the pitch and made it 2-2 just 8 minutes after! this was turning out to be a great game. We then saw some magic from the man from holland drenthe who scored from a weird looking cross shot to make it 3-2! Arango looked furious so he did a little magic of his own and scored a screamer from 30 yards out in the 79th minute! 3-3! the game then looked dead but PEX's defence fell asleep and who else but rolando Bianchi caught them napping in the final minutes of the game to win it for nath. 4-3 Great game with lots good signs showing.

How many players from D3 get and a big team like scarface's and offer you to come along and play for them. This opportunity don't come often and i had to take it. [oliver Kapo and Daniel De Ridder]
Olivier Kapo and Daniel De Ridder are the latest people to come to St Andrews.

Oliver Kapo was said to brought in replace of Frei. Frei was hardly used in the team and Kapo was preffered so a Straight swap was agreed with PEX and Birmingham City. Kapo had had a good start of the season for Birmingham becoming their top scorer with 5 goals. 1 goal being a wonder goal against Chelsea in the first game of the season. He had also won the last game Birmingham Won which was against Wigan who Steve Bruce has gone to instead of staying at Birmingham.

Daniel De Ridder has been brought in on a free loan from MBV. MBV had signed the 23 year old for an estimated £2,500,000 and then he was immediately sent on loan to Fc Planet Express. The loan will end at the end of the season. De Ridder's last game was the local derby between Birmingham City and Aston Villa where a controversial Penalty was gone against De Ridder as he picked up a yellow card for diving. Replays showed he was fouled and did not desserve the yellow card.

Extra Info
vica Olić [ˈiʋitsa ˈɔːlitɕ] (born September 14, 1979) is a Croatian football player who, as of February 2007, is playing for Hamburger SV.

Olić was born and raised in the village of Davor near Slavonski Brod, Croatia. He started playing football for the local club Marsonia in 1996, and spent two good seasons there before he was acquired by Hertha Berlin in 1998. He did not see much play there and returned home to Marsonia the following year.

After another successful season at Marsonia (in the 2000/01 season he scored 17 goals in 29 games), in 2001 he moved to NK Zagreb where he would score 21 goals in 28 appearances and help his team to win the league. The following season he moved to Dinamo Zagreb, where he scored 16 goals in 27 games, and became the best striker of the Croatian First League.

In 2003, he was acquired by CSKA. His form rose gradually, and in the 2005 season he contributed 10 goals in twice as many games.

Olić was part of the Croatian national team at the 2002 FIFA World Cup where he played in two games and scored one goal, but an important one against Italy. He also played three games for Croatia in Euro 2004, and two games in 2006 FIFA World Cup.

In September 2006 he was dropped from Croatian squad for a qualifying match for one game due to a late-night partying binge together with Darijo Srna and Boško Balaban.

In January 2007 he moved to Hamburger SV, playing his first Bundesliga game with them against Energie Cottbus on January 31.[1] He was signed because Hamburg were in deep trouble, finishing in the relegation zone before the winter break. It worked out in the end and Hamburg finished seventh, which acquired them an Intertoto Cup place. He scored two goals in the last match in the 2006-07 Bundesliga season against Alemannia Aachen in a 4-0 win. In October 2007 Olić scored a hat-trick in the Bundesliga match against VfB Stuttgart, which Hamburg won 4:1. He was the first player in the history of the club, who scored three successive goals in one half.

Although he's often praised for his hard work with large amounts of stamina efforts on the pitch, with ability to draw 2 to 3 defenders on him, he is also often criticised for his lack of goal scoring amongst Croatian fans.

He was named man of the match in the match at Wembley in which Croatia defeated England 2:3. He scored the important second goal.

Extra information

Armando Gonçalves Teixeira, (born September 25, 1976 in Strasbourg, France), known as Petit (pron. IPA: [pɨ'ti]), is a Portuguese football player. He was born to Portuguese parents.

He currently plays as a defensive midfielder for SL Benfica and is part of the Portuguese national team. He was nicknamed Petit because of his small frame and the fact he was born in France. He is known as 'the pitbull' by his supporters, because of the fierceness with which he faces every game.

Petit is also known for his direct free kicks from which he often scores, most notably 2 in a 7-1 drubbing of Russia in a 2006 World Cup qualifier.

Petit first established himself at Gil Vicente FC, where he was a key player. He soon left to play in the Champions League with Boavista FC; the club won the League in 2001, and reached the semi-finals of the 2003 UEFA Cup. In 2002 he moved to Benfica where he has established himself as a player, winning the Cup of Portugal in 2004 and the 2005 league. After impressive showings in Benfica's 2005-06 Champions League campaign, which ended after they were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Barcelona, Manchester United and Lyon were linked with Petit; however, he was reluctant to leave one of his favourite clubs.

He made his debut in the national team on 2 June 2001, in a 1-1 draw with Ireland, in Dublin, during the 2002 World Cup qualifying rounds. He played for the national team in that World Cup finals, and also was a member of the national team that reached the final at Euro 2004, in Portugal.

In the 2006 World Cup, Petit scored an own goal in the 61st minute of the third place playoff against Germany. He was the fourth player in the tournament to score an own goal.

Planet express have signed 26 year old defensive midfielder Giampiero Pinzi. The player was brought in with a swap for Jermaine Jenas. Jenas was the weakest player in the whole squad and Alex Mcleish used his £4,000,000 value to sign Giampiero Pinzi as Planet Express needed another DMF. Alex Mcleish said that he was apart of his first team plans and Jenas was not.

Transfer window round up!

[Zaleyeta]

It was then end of the transfer window and PEX have signed no little than 5 players.

They have brought in Hard man defender Andrea Coda who was swapped with little used Jermain Jenas. Coda was brought in as FC Planet Express were struggling in the defense department which is why Mr McLeish was so eager to bring him to St andrews.

Another Signing for Planet Express is Midfielder Franco Semioli. The gifted right winger was swapped with Hugo Viana as Viana was unsettled at the club.

FC Planet Express had signed 3 forwards within the deadline, one going right through the wire just hitting the clock.

First they had brought in Pablo Daniel Osvaldo for struggling defender Dario Simic who was fighting for a first team place. The talented striker has been brought in to become back up for Rouque Santa Cruz who has been the heart of Planet Express in the past season.

They had also brought in Zalayeta, another striker. Zaleyeta was brought in as a Supporting role to Santa Cruz when FC Planet Express need that extra attacker to get the winning goal.

The most controversial signing for planet express is the signing of Ernesto Chevanton. This deal went through in the final seconds. The player was brought in as in a shock move, Aroune Kone was released and planet Express were a player short. So Ernesto was brought in as Bammers had released him near to the deadline.

In 2006 Atalanta agreed a co-ownership deal which sent the player to Lecce, another Serie B team, where Osvaldo had the opportunity to play regularly, scoring eight matches in 31 appearances with the giallorossi. Following such a fairly impressive season, Atalanta regained the full player's property and sold him to Fiorentina. He played his first Serie A match on September 29, 2007, scoring two goals in a 3–0 away win to Livorno.

On November 9, 2007 Osvaldo, a dual Italian and Argentine citizen, accepted to be called-up by Pierluigi Casiraghi to become part of the Italian under-21 national team, therefore opting to play for the azzurri despite being born in Argentina

Additional Information
Marcelo started his career with Danubio and then moving to Peñarol in Uruguay, where he made a name for himself. He moved to Juve in 1997 but considered a promising young player at the time, he was not given much of a chance to prove himself. He spent a season on loan with Empoli, and he also starred in Uruguay's surge for the Copa América in 1999, who lost in the final to Brazil. Two more years away from the club followed, he played for Sevilla until 2001. At last when it seemed Juve lacked forwards he was brought back to Italy at the start of 2001-02, but he was loaned out to Perugia in 2004 before returning to Juventus in the same year. Although he has not played many matches thus far he has done well the times he has been given a chance.

He scored two very important extra time winners against Spanish opposition for Juventus. One came in 2003 in the quarter-finals of UEFA Champions League against FC Barcelona; the other against Real Madrid in the 2005 round of 16. After a decade with Juventus, he moved to Napoli in the summer of 2007

An interviewer informed him 6 games from the end of the season that if he scored 3 more goals he would beat the record for a season. After that interview he failed to score and ever since has 'hated statistics'. Chevanton is also a free kick specialist.
