Yeah, your backup can be patched. Keep the original backup though, because everytime you want to try a new patch you must make an image of the original WE6FE

I don't think anyone would throw it away, but that is good advice.

Talk of owning and patching a backup copy of a game where you do not own a legal original copy does kind of cross some legalities and I'm sure we don't want to step into illegal distribution etc etc.

Should have really stuck with the story "I have made a backup copy...." ;)

Hey all!

the only reason he backed it up for me was so i could apply patches for him, as he doesnt have a high-speed connection... i even helped him order the original game via lik sang... i told him about the posibilty of patching, and i offered to d/l patches and apply them for him... but he wanted to still be able to play the game while i was trying to patch it, so he backed it up for me to patch for him... as i said, he is not into the whole patching-thing... he didnt know where to go or what to do about patches... i didnt know much about it myself.. which is why i made this thread

I guess i wasnt clear enough in my first post...

Thanks!

The reasons may make sense but it is still dodgy in a legal sense so saying less is better.
