great work. yawl, only thing is some of the kits are wrong. I mean, short/shirt combos. New Englands is blue/blue for home, and away is white/white i believe, and columbus' home is black/black, away is yellow/yellow. And that is basically it. Great work everyone

After going through some of the kits, it looks like a majority have incorrect jersey/shorts color combos. Plus, some of the colors, at least to me, seem off. The Chicago Fire red is not as THAT red.

But the file has everything you'd want for a MLS league. If you take some time I'm sure fixing these little problems won't be a big challenge.

Didn't forget. My max drive just decided to stop being able to read from the USB drive. I can't copy any files to my PS2 memory card. I can't even use my own MLS option file! But I'll be borrowing my friend's max drive soon, hopefully it will work.

They are pretty bad. And they have too many no-name players. Certain players aren't in FM07 and I couldn't find any info on them online. Hell, Joey Melo's app was done from a average quality team picture. Back when mlsnet didn't have his pic up yet.

Also, what do you guys think of the GK play? It's pretty hard to make GK stats. I tried to make them similar to Hahnemann or Howard. I've seen some great saves but also some really boneheaded moves. Damn Konami and their vague GK stats.

It works right with pesfan editor 6.04. No more face bug. And the keepers seem to be alright. Havent really gotten to play it to much, since I was working on integrating my OF to it. I give yawl props OF's are really hard work.

Option Files are a pain sometimes - you can't get everything right, but i find it difficult to critisise a file like this/A-league file as so much work has gone into it......

.rars are not option files. It's a compression type, kind of like .zip. The .rar has all the different types of option files in there, you just have to extract them. You can do it with a program called winrar. If you don't wanna download it, PM me your email and I will send you a .max file.

Yeah it sucks. I can play it on PES6 for PC but my controller is really bad. Anyways, I know some people that have USB drives I can use. I'll try to borrow one today or tomorrow and will get you your option file.

Wow, you have no idea how much I appreciate this. This is almost perfect, and I love the MLS. My only problem is that the stats are a bit too low... the mls doesn't suck THAT much. Give them some credit, DC united beat Celtic last time they encountered by 2 goals, and celtic had no reserves playing either. Sure, it was a friendly, but still. Anyway, amazing job. Just raise the stats a little bit next time.

I would suggest maybe a +5 or +10 to all skill based stats, leaving the speed/stamina stuff alone. I'll do a test with +10 for two teams, and see how that plays out.

There might be a problem with Compulsion's editor then. Because I converted a no-face-bug PS2 PES2007 file to a PC PES2007 file. Maybe the editor thinks its converting to PES6 and switches around the faces.

Yeah, I have PES6 for PC but mainly for editing purposes. It runs a little slow on my PC and my controller isnt great. But from what I've seen the AI in PES6 PC is better than in PES2007 PS2. They score some spectacular goals. I did a test run between Toronto FC and Arsenal and I lost 7-1. Most of their goals were set up with great passes that I just don't see on the PS2.

It really is a great file, I guess the stats could be raised about +5 or +10, but pretty close on. The MLS is a technical league, so i guess tech could be raised a bit.

After playing about 3/4 of a season with the Fire, I'm loving every minute I'm playing with this option file :)

After altering some kits and adjusting stadium choices, the game just plays great. I know I have said that stats need to be adjusted.....I take that back. They are just fine.

3/4 through the season on Professional level the Fire are 6-7-3 (25 points, 5th overall), scoring 20 goals and allowing 15 in 16 matches. The best thing is that every match is different, as some games I can win 3-0, have enduring 1-1 or 0-0 ties, and I have lost a seson high 4-0 to DC United.

The craziest thing was on one calender date I was to play the Rapids twice, once for the seasonal matchup, the 2nd being the tournament. In the season match I whooped them 3-0, but then when the tournament hit I lost 2-0. Probably the most frustration I've felt in a long time.

So, to make a long post short, this option file is awesome. Just needs some tweaks with kits and, in my opinion, better stadium choices for some teams. After that, its alllllllllll good. Thanks again :)

I finally got a USB Drive so I could use this option file. Played a few games against my brother and didn't have any injuries at all. Most of the players' injury tolerance is set to B. A's never get injured and C's get injured every time you touch them. With B's, careless hard tackles usually result in injuries, usually minor.

I noticed the Beckham number as well, not a big deal just to change it to #23 as nobody else on the team has that number. And I just checked Ronaldinho on my copy of the file (PS2, WE2007) and his hair is fine. Its not the default hair, which is good because that hair looks terrible.

I just played a game against FC Dallas with the Fire, and I got whooped 4-1. 2 goals were just bad, as on a clear attempt the ball hit off of the keeper, and went in. Another one the keeper blocked the shot, but somehow the ball kept trickling in just beyond the line.

Almost done with my 1st season of the MLS, and I'm hating the formation the Fire have. Only 3 players on the backline? C'mon....Think I'll try a new team in season 2, maybe like Real Salt Lake.

PERSONALLY I use the official tema colours...FOR HOUSTON it's ORANGE/WHITE/ORANGE for the home kit...I think they only use orange shorts @ home when playing against a team who wears white shorts...Look if yoiu play with ITALY they have WHITE shorts but in the WC 2006 FINAL they wear BLUE shorts...

Well done on this OF. I have very little knowledge of the MLS and I thought that I would have limited interest in this file but I've gotta say I've played it loads and really enjoyed it. The gameplay is well balanced and it's great to have a whole new set of teams to play with. There are some face bugs (bald Ronaldinho, etc) but easily fixed. There are a dozens of OFs about but only a handful are worth having and this is one of them. Cheers!

Yep, I had that problem but found out the download is not just one file (max or pc, etc) but a whole load bundled together as a 'rar' file. Just google 'winrar' and download that and then you can pull out the file you need: max file or whatever.

hey, i don't know if this should be in the work in progress thread...

but, maybe we could morph this of's focus (slightly) into a USA of...and by that i mean add some of the players who are playing overseas but not in a great league...like some of the players that played in the friendly v china yesterday (nguyen, that speedy forward, etc)
obviously, this would require someone (or someones) with a greater knowledge of the yanks abroad than myself...but it'd be nice to have the full range of people to choose from when doing an international challenge with usa with the option file (something that the of in its current form has helped 10000000000%, by the way)

so i downloaded the rar unziped it tried putting both the max and xps save on my datel stroage device when i boot up with gameshark 2 and copy both to the target which is my memory card the saves will not load when i put in winning 2007

im useing gameshark 2 memory mananger there is no option to uncrush or unzip anything from the flash drive to the memory card

so when i copy to target which is my memory card the file shows up as xps or max or cbs i've tried all the when i hit unzip / zip file it just zipps it up and no work even if i zip it and unzip it the file don't load when i start peswe2007

Valmir created some great HD MLS logos which can be inserted in the 0_text 0535 and 0536 flg files via GGS.

You can download Valmir's logos here:

If you use these logos make sure you delete the emblems in the option file for these to show up.

I also created the full "team names" version for the 0535 file based on the format used in the 14 - 1 scoreboard. I'll upload those later today.

And finally I have a GDB MLS Folder with the kits, these kits were notl made by me, in fact I only made a few, and I used Sion's Template. If anyone is interested in this.

It didn't work for me either. I had to convert the PS2 version to the PC version with Compulsion's editor.

I will be putting out a file sometime next weekend for WE2007 that is based off of Mike and Milanista 4.0 file. It'll have five of the non Champions League teams in the B section replaced by five MLS teams.

NY, LA, DC, Kansas City, and Chivas.

I already have all five teams in the game, and I have only the non affiliated players, French and German leagues left to edit out the face bug.

I'm not happy with the boots that were in the file, so I've revamped them entirely. As of today I still have to assign them to players.

The file will be posted here and on Gamefaqs.

If I may ask, why only 5 teams, and not the whole league? And Is the base option file you're using essentially the same as pategato's (newly promoted teams, etc)?

Like I said in my post, the file is based on Mike and Milanistas 4.0 file, which is their newest file with all promoted teams, as well as all of the champions league teams.

The reason I choose only to use five MLS teams is because under section B there are only five places to put teams. I have erased River, Boca, Athens, Club Brugge, and St. Petersburg as they are not in the Champions League this year. I would have loved to put all twelve of the teams in, but it's just not possible.
