I spend most of my time posting in the Liverpool thread on PESfan, why should here be any different?
Levski Sofia? first leg is on my birthday, so I am hoping it will be at home will get a couple of days off and go and see my grandad in Birkenhead and go and watch it
If he lets hench go he needs a good kicking, I would let cheyrou go out on loan to get some footie, not really convinced anyone would buy him though. Plus there's always the risk of him actually getting back to the form he had when we bought him making it look like a real bad move to sell him for next to nothing.

Liverpool are going through comfortably, Leverkusen need 5 and it's impossible.
As for Garcia, he's better than Harry Kewell on most days, but Xabi Alonso is pure class and much better than Luis.

as for garcia, id definately take him over kewell, kewell is certainly done at liverpool soon he can't stay on the field...I'd like to see a midfield of garcia alonso gerrard and hamman, but xavi would have to stay healty.

so pleased liverpool are through. it was a stroll in germany. Gerrard looked good and garcia is starting to hit the back of the net. Hope 2 get PSV in next round, hopefully avoid one of the big italian teams!!!!
i think any team would be difficult, but i agree PSV would be my choice as leverkusen were one of choices for last round. great game thou and we should have scored more. it was a great counter attacking performance, but not in a way coz we dominated. bring on whoever and lets win it so the toffees can't get in there!

it would be good 2 win cl but i really think we LFC arent good enough and with 1 available striker, baros. if only Mori and cisse were available.
the way i look at it anything is poss. if porto can win it last year and greece can win the euro champs then y can't we go all way - albeit if the draw is kind to us. just wish we were in a better position in the league so champs qualification next year didn't rely so much on this. thou we have game in hand and still everton to play which would reduce gap to 2 points if won both

i wouldnt play gerrard on the right, thats a bit stupid when he is class in the centre. i would have alonso and gerrard in centre. Hamann never passes forward. garcia on r mid with risse lwf (he has being good there this season) with unfortunately troare LB. dont moan! there is no one else. and dont say pellegrino. he has no pace.

i dont know. you cant leeave alonso out he is good passer, cant put gerrard on r wing when he is one of best c mids in europe. its not my problem its rafas but its a nice problem 2 have.
kewell needs to buck his ideas up if he wants to stay i hope he dose cause when he can be arsed hes amazing,comentators have said hes been shite since joing liverpool but he scored something like 10-12 goals last season i think could be wrong

Carragher shoulld play in the center with Hyypia. Finnan and Riise as backs.
Then Xabi and Gerrard in the center. With Kewell and Garcia, or Traore on the left. As Riise and him switch.
Moro and Baros up top. If Cisse returns from injury we'll have a much better attack next season. Hard to say who will start.
Dudek will hopefully be gone. Carson is too young to start, we should look into Cudinici(sp) the Chelsea 2nd string keeper.

Those aren't the easiest of teams to beat...
The weakest one in the last 8 is probably PSV, and Porto if they miraculously beat Inter. Look at Lyon's scoring rate, they are gonna be top scorers this season, maybe even better than Monaco last season.
That said, you probably hope to avoid giants like Chelsea, Milan and Juventus...

Speaking about alonso returning i was in the line at anfield before waiting to get my ticket for sunday and the line was quite big so i was by the club shop then i tured left then i seen these to fellas coming out in suites and they were sayin excuse me please to me and this lad so we made a gap for them to get through then all of a sudden alonso comes right behind them and straight across me i go alright xabi and he goes hello mate and shakes my hand he's quite big a well did notice he was big but he is and he was driving a boss car as well. I work for GAP in the speke retail kemp, if you no were that is so i finished work but the bus wasn't due for another 30 mins so i was having a look around all the shops then i wanted to have a read and some coffey so i went into starbucks, as i went in it was the day allan kennedy the ledgend was promoting his autobiography so i went in seen him at the front of the shop sitting there by him self this was like 9.30 somethin like that so no one was left in the shop i went up to him shook his hand, then i had my picture taken with him then had a coffey and a 30mins conversation with him about the past and present liverpool he was class a true liverpool player.

Steve Nicol moved to my hometown, Hopkinton, Ma, USA to coach the new england revolution, and i was the only one who knew who he was b/c no one no shit about soccer er football here...
Anyways the kid sits next to me in chem, a nice guy, huge, the best player on our american football team, he plays in college now and we would talk soccer, he likes man utd. and then we would hang out and play fifa (before i discovered winning eleven)
We'd play in his basement.
Nicol's basement is like a liverpool shrine, all the pictures of him and the team winning cups and his jerseys its pretty amazing

Garcias goal was something special. he was getting on my nerves though when he kept giving the ball away with the fancy flicks. he also put in a awesome ball for baros in the 1st half. He looks good in the CL, maybe the prem is a bit 2 physical for him. Its good to see him chasing back and tackling. What do you think of Le Tallec? I have to say he looks a bit raw!!!!

nunez is well hes pants but hes not a bad crosser hopefully he'll be off at the end of the season you just have to look at it like he was a free player part of the owen deal and he hasnt done to bad,and yeah he did play for real and scored on his debut against villareal i think, what you think of garcia i think he gives the ball away to much but a good crosser and a good finisher

Nunez hardly ever played for Real. He made his debut against Villarreal at the beginning of last season but never played much beyond that. I agree, he is useless.

My thoughts...
Juve were so uninspired...I can't believe we won without stevie G....Xabi Alonso was class...so was Carragher...and Dudek....seein Cisse back has got to be scary to other teams...im so excited to beat Chelsea
Cisse is such a sight to behold. I could not help but smile when i saw him cracking his neck sideways and getting ready to enter the pitch. Chelsea are going to have their hands full with this guy prowling their goal. Not to mention tricksy Baros and skillfull Garcia. There is nothing id like more than to see Robben back in a football pitch...but i doubt thats going to happen. When are the semies being played?
Cisse has been my favorite for a long time, great to see him recovered so early.
Its a joy watching him play, but I do think Liverpool doesnt stand a chance against Chelski.

Congrats, Liverpool fans. Great game again. Alonso, Traore, Hyypia, Biscan, several players performing very well. I knew this squad was good since i first saw it. I guess Chelsea will go to the finals, but you can be sure i will be cheering for Liverpool to upset the blue giants :D

I guess you play better in international games because of Benitez and style of play he imposes to your team. Short and fast passing, alterned with some long balls, not relying just on the counter-attacks(like almost all English teams seems to do). An Benitez is schooled about CL with his Valencia days, he knows the way to win in this league.

what a game yesterday, here are my ratings
Dudek: 9/10, cant remember the last time he played this well, and no big mistakes.
Finnan: 8/10, solid, no mistakes, always in position, made timely runs up flank as well.
Carragher: 8/10, solid in middle, helped keep sheet clean.
Hyppia: 9/10, showed he still has something left, won every ballin air that needed to be won, a true hero yesterday.
Traore: 6/10, scares me when he's on the ball, missed that through ball that ibrahimovic almost converted, still decent showing.
Nunez: 6/10, only somewhat effective, won some corners, came out in 2nd half.
Biscan: 9/10, played great, won many crucial balls, has been on great form lately.
Xavi Alonso: 9/10, played inspired football, set the tone early with his tough tackling...didn't miss a beat after long lay-off, effective passing, helped keep possesion away from Juve.
Riise: 7/10, effective play down wing, hit many crosses, none threatening goal.
Luis Garcia: 8/10, helped keep possesion with passing and dribbling, won many fouls to slow pace of game.
Baros: 8/10, was a bother to juve back line all night, ran hard, should have converted when he was in on Buffon.
Subs:
Smicer: 5/10, pretty much disappeared when he was brought on, can't wait for him to leave.
Cisse: 7/10, struck fear into the heart of the juve defense as soon as he stepped foot on the field, his speed caused problems, looked good for first time back in a while, chelsea is going to need to pay extra attention to him in the semis.
Le Tallec: N/A, not on field long, hardly made any touches.

Liverpool without injuries next season will be a force, but I wouldn't go as far as saying they will win the Premiership. In my opinion, they will definitely do better than this season and maybe get into the top three, but winning the league is maybe a step too far. But like you said, Benitez is a very good manager and he will buy, so maybe in a few years Liverpool will be a title challenging team again.

I know you're the liverpool fan and you probably know more than me bit I'd be suprised if liverpool lost gerrard, i think he's impressed with rafa and has realised that he can be like shearer and be a ledgend without winning much (or anything in his case) and still have a great career but I don't think that'll happen i can see liverpool becoming the second biggest club behind chelsea.

Yer mate it is a bit hard especially when you have school the next day like my self i didn't go to fratton park but i went to vicarage road like that was a good 4 1/2 hour's but we won so it was okay. Didn't get in till 2.30 and up for 7 so u can call me a hardcore pool fanif ya want. And he was off side by the way and i think we on quite comfetable meself like we well had enough chances to end the game.

Liverpool v. Chelsea, leg one, Champions League Semi-Final
decent game, a bit boring but ill take a tie at the bridge, and I know we're tough to beat at anfield, so I like our chances of going through.
I would like to see baros and cisse up top to put some pressure on chelsea's D, not having xabi alonso is gonna be tough, he was good again and without him we lose a lot. Our D is world class in the champs league seems almost unbeatable. Too bad cech made that good save bu thank god lampard missed from a foot away.
And here are my ratings:
GK: Dudek, didn't have to do much but kept the clean sheet. 7/10.
RB: Finnan, stood his ground, made some decent runs. 7/10.
CB: Carragher, just astonishing how far he's come, had a better game than terry, I think he is as good as they get at the moment. 9/10.
CB: Hyppia, it'd be tough to imagine liverpool w/out him when the time comes for him to move on. Has been great in the CL, kept it up tonite. 8.5/10.
LB: Traore, he makes me nervous, but kept cole under check for the most part, did get beat a few times, a great tackle on cole that set a good tone. 7.5/10.
RM: Garcia, creative, made some things happen, didn't keep the ball well like he had before, nothing too special. 7.5/10.
CM: Xavi Alonso, passed well (of course), not as many good tackles as against juve, but was solid and played a good game. 7/10.
CM: Biscan, played solid again, did a lot of work off the ball keeping up with lampard and co., i think he worked his way back to anfield next year. 7.5/10.
CM: Gerrard, inconsistent, I expected more out of him, made some good plays but would disappear. Hope he makes a habit up underachieving at stamford bridge b/c he could be playing his home games there next year. He's going to need to step it up next week with Xavi out if we stand a chance. 6/10.
LM: Riise, had our best scoring chance, we should have kept feeding him the ball up the wing because glen johnson is below average, like his game today. 7.5/10.
CF: Baros, worked hard, almost scored on the header. Loses the ball too much, so inconsistent throughout a game, great play one second poor the next, was overall above average today however. 7.0/10.
Bench:
Cisse: I get more excited the more he plays, he's gonna be great in red really soon 7/10.
Kewell: Not much playing time, hopefully by the grace of god can regain his form. N/A.

Nice-work ,Preki. Glad to know someone really knows their football over there:D. Just kidding. I think Baros really went missing for the most part last Wednesday. Hyppia is my fave player and has been since he arrived. What a recovery tackle he made against joe Cole last week. Fantastic! Carragher has improved beyond the tackle and hoof the ball that Houllier had him doing. Honestly, the more I see of Benitez with essentially the same players, the more I wonder what the hell was Houllier doing? Biscan has improved beyond belief too.
I fancy us on Tuesday of course.1-0.

Dudek - 8 Handled well and made a crucial save from Lampard.
Traore - 8 Solid performance, didn't ever look in significant danger.
Carragher - 10 Absolutely phenomenal performance. Terry who?
Hyypia - 9 Very solid, mopped everything up at the back.
Finnan - 8.5 One of his better games for Liverpool, owened the right flank.
Garcia - 8 Tricky and skillful, overdone it at times, but held the ball up well.
Gerrard - 7.5 Good controlled performance.
Biscan - 5.5 Had a poor game, hardly made a pass,fortunately Hamann covered for him.
Hamann - 8.5 Solid in the tackle, the wall in midfield
Riise - 8 Good performance, very aggressive in the tackle and provided a good outlet.
Baros - 5 Struggled up front on his own
Subs:
Kewell - 6.5 Held onto the ball relatively well.
Nunez - 7 Full of running
Cisse - 7 His pace caused the Chelsea defence more problems than Baros did for 60 mins. Should have done better with his chance late on.
