Felipe and Pique, good centre back pairing? I'd say you need a stronger pairting if you hope to stay up in division 2.
A DMF or an AMF in the middle? I like Costinha's position and with mu suggested change of position for Rooney you wouldn't need an AMF

On another note I am actually very suprised about the Drogba trade. Although Rooney is a very good player he doesnt pose enough threat infront of goal to compensate the loss of Didier. I think you made a bnig mistake with that trade. The attack you had in D3 looked more lethal. Also have you thought about the squad rotation policy? You may need to bring in a few more players if you havent.

It's a good idea, but I also don't like Rooney's position. Add to that the fact that Costinha is pretty average and very isolated, meaning that despite your impressive attacking players, your team is quite unbalanced.

Costinha or Kovac?
Both. Drop a forward to accommodate them.

Felipe and Pique, good centre back pairing?
Certainly not bad, but they could do with improvement if you want to maximise your chances of survival in D2.

A DMF or an AMF in the middle?
As I say, Costinha needs a partner.

As I only recognise a handful of names on your team, Yankegg, I don't think I can offer a good critique at this point. The formation looks solid though, which is good.

Potentially, but I don't see any need for Rooney to be so close to the left wing, as Pedersen is ample threat on that side. It does look like your team is more suited to a 4-4-2, however.

Both. The team is too unbalanced at the moment. Emre would also be alright, but Costinha and Niko Kovac would be my partnership, based on what I can remember your squad being.

Niko Kovac. You will cause problems in attack for anyone, so just try to shore up the defensive side of things, and you will be ok. You still have Pavel Nedved, don't you?

Much too attacking for my liking. If you were to adopt this formation, I would have Mladen Petric as the OMF rather than Eduardo, but I really think it's too unbalanced. I would use a basic 442, with a central midfielder partnering Rivera.

I like your thought process of adding Budan to make it an attacking Croatian trio, which will bag you a tonne of goals, but concede even more, with the attacking setup at the moment. While not having the following or reputation of other strikers, I would be surprised to see a better strike partnership in Division 3 than that of Mladen Petric and Eduardo Da Silva. With Pires and Barnetta providing support, you would have a great attacking impetus.

I've never actually seen Lell play on the left, but I know he's a good asset on the right. He has a bright future, but whether he's good enough to surpass Bosingwa yet, i'm not sure.

Was that in the first leg? I'm sure in the second leg he was on the right side, as I can remember thinking what a good game he was having and Bayern's best player. Hmm, maybe my memory is deceiving me in my old age :unsure:

First leg right, second leg left. In the second leg he was in midfield though as Salihamidzic dropped into the back four.

- Costinha would get dominated on his own.

- An extra defensive midfielder.

- Rivera cannot anchor the midfield, he is more of a playmaker. Eduardo Silva is an attacker and wouldn't help, so you need an aggressive midfielder in there- I could sell you Motta for £5m :) Everywhere else looks alright.
